Located alongside the North Toe River, these beautiful camping rentals make the perfect glamping escape! The 16x20 tents offer different bed and floor plans. Each tent has lighting and electrical hookup. Glampers will enjoy cozy linens and furnishings, plenty of privacy, and close access to the shared facilities on-site which include Men and Women restrooms with hot water showers. Guests can park their vehicle right behind their tent. Great for romantic weekends or a family trip! **The River Camp is situated between the Toe River and an operating railroad. There is no set schedule on when the train runs. During contruction and the time ive lived on the property it is minimal. The kids seem to love it and it hasnt become a nuisance, more of a novelty to see an old train carving through the mountains!**

**Camp Driftwood Asheville is a rustic riverside retreat, just outside of Asheville, North Carolina. Our family-owned and operated vacation hideaway spans a third of a mile directly on the banks of The French Broad River, rumored to be *the third oldest river in the world!***

**​Camp Driftwood offers travelers a variety of vacation accommodations. Choose from; 8 primitive riverside tent sites, 3 Glamping Cottages, and 3 Vacation Homes. Whichever you choose you will have direct access to the river, a fire ring, a picnic table, and space to sit next to the water. **

**​All guests are welcome to stroll the length of the property and enjoy the Community Areas, including; the Swimming Beach, a Fishing Beach, the Tree Swing, the Rapids, and the large Community Fire Pit.**

All of the camping is primitive. All camping is for tents/cars only and we do not have room for any campers/RVs. Even some vans are too long, please check with us on vehicle length. It is an easy in and out, and you park at your site. Glamping Cottages, ie no kitchen or bathroom are also available. Each is quirky and fabulous. They all have queen beds, well appointed with good mattresses and nice linens. They all offer kitchenettes, with minifridges, microwaves, and coffee makers. Each provide a covered outdoor sitting space and satellite TV, as well as temperature control via mini-splits. Kick camping up a notch and Glamp instead!

Portable toilets span the southern end of the property, near the tent sites. And we have a single-stall bathhouse in the center of the Camp, near the cabins. There is potable water from a yard hydrant near the bathhouse, along with an outlet if you are tent camping and need to charge something.

**We offer a passive campground experience geared toward adults, we don't actually allow guests under 12 yo without prior management approval. There are no fences or safety measures in place along the river. We don't have a camp store, there is no office-no playground surrounded by mulch, you'll have to bring your own ice cream. But..we do have direct access to an incredible ancient river, and a thriving mountain City-the best kind of playground! **The sound of the water will captivate you no matter where you are in Camp.

All of this in a very convenient location..just 15 minutes from downtown Asheville. Shopping and conveniences are only 3 miles away in Weaverville. The camp is located right below Old Marshall Highway (River Road), a super popular road biking route, but you do hear vehicles, mostly during work hours. There are train tracks across the River, which we think is a super cool WNC feature, but some things to be aware of.

One of the best campgrounds in Western North Carolina. We are very quiet place. We have crooked crooked crook that runs right through the campground. We also have a Bath house. And would you have Sunday brunch that starts at 10:30? We do accommodate 10 campers. We also have camping cabins, primitive cabins and a family get away home. Minutes away from the entrance to Table Rock and near popular attractions such as Linville Gorge, Wilson's Creek, Lake James, Brown Mountain Overlook and OHV. Come enjoy a unique RV/Camper get away spot. Water, sewer and 30 amp hook-up now available! Come relax by the creek and experience nature. No need to check-in, pull right into the private driveway and set up camp.

**The space**

Social distancing at its finest! Now featuring 4g for AT&T customers, so come work from the woods! This campsite will only be shared with you and your guests! No need to check-in. Pull right onto the private drive from the dirt road. Water, sewer and power hook-ups are available. Winter stays are welcome and a heated hose is provided for those crisp winter nights. RV or campers required as restrooms are not available. Tents are certainly welcome with an accompanying camper with a restroom. Feel free to bring as many tents and additional guests as you would like! Just know they will have to share the camper restroom. A sanded campsite will comfortably fit a large camper or RV. Room for additional campers that don’t require hookups.

**Guest access**

You are free to roam the property and creek as you wish. If you wish to explore forest and hike the old logging roads, a map of the property lines is provided in the onsite guidebook.

**Other things to note**

WiFi is through satellite internet so during inclement weather or high traffic times, internet will be slow. WiFi is for basic web surfing, work tasks and communication only. Video streaming (Netflix, Tik-tok etc) is not permitted to preserve data for future guests. Who wants to watch Greys Anatomy while camping anyway? VOIP and video conferencing is prioritized over all other connections but the quality is not guaranteed.



Firewood from a local supplier is available for purchase, on site, by the honor system. The price is 20 dollars per wheel barrow filled to the height of your choosing.



Provided conveniences includes a bug light, outdoor table, heated hose, adapter to convert the camper plug to a traditional outlet, small drop cord, gold pans and cooking utensils.



Rose Creek Retreat

Enjoy the peacefulness of a mountainside experience. Hiking up the mountain, hanging by the campfire enjoying the great views, tubing or trout fishing in the nearby Toe River. Other adventures nearby include gem finding, art shops, horseback riding and much more. Outhouse on premises and our own spring fed water. Shower house is in the process of being put in. Fee is based on a 2 person tent per night.



Bear Creek Mountain Campground

Located along 1600 ft of the North Toe River, Buck Hill Campground is the perfect place for families to relax and play! We offer sixty-nine large shady RV sites, each equipped with picnic tables, fire pits, and full hookups with 20, 30, and 50 amp service. 

The campground features 144 acres of hiking trails in the Blue Ridge Mountains.  Enjoy a lazy ride down the river on one of our river tubes, spend the day fishing from our trout filled waters stocked by the State Hatchery, or enjoy a challenging hike to the top of Buck Hill Mountain!  

Primitive tent campers will enjoy our open grassy fields overlooking our pond, as well fire rings, picnic tables, water spigots, and several wooden deck pads. For those that like to camp but prefer to sleep on a bed as opposed to pitching a tent, enjoy our camping cabins!! And if you prefer “glamping” then our new tiny home cabins provide all the amenities of home! If you are looking for a quiet family & pet friendly campground, you’ve just found your new home away from home!

Buck Hill Campground

Immerse yourselves in a unique nature experience on 60 acres of secluded paradise in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our 3 glamping sites offer privacy and modern amenities including BBQ grill, fire pit, heated shelter, memory-foam bed(s), and solar power only 3 min from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Walk to our on-site waterfall or explore nearby Crabtree/Linville Falls just 20 mins away. Secluded but only 5 min drive to Walmart. Get off the grid and embrace the best parts of camping with your loved ones.

Our land is situated at a center point of some of the best hiking in North Carolina. Less than 45 mins from Linville Gorge, Mt. Mitchell, Grandfather Mountain, and Roan Mountain, and within 20 mins of 3 popular waterfall hikes at Crabtree Falls, Tom's Creek Falls, and Linville Falls. Over a mile from any residences on our own forested ridge, but only a 5 min drive to Walmart for quick supply runs!

Each of our 3 structures were hand-built on custom \~25' x 25' deck platforms in the Summer of 2022.

**The following amenities apply to all 3 glampsites. Please READ all below.**

**BEDS** \-- At each site, there are king or queen memory-foam mattresses. If someone would like to pitch their own tent by the fire pit at any site, they are welcome to.

**KITCHEN** \-- There is an outdoor kitchen equipped with a BBQ grill & single-stove burner cooktop, two 5-gallon water jugs, a sink basin, and a big cooler pre-filled with ice.

**POWER** \-- A 2000-Wh solar battery and 400W of solar panels provide plentiful power for device charging, lights, and a standing fan.

**HEAT** — A propane heater is provided with 20lb propane tank for heating. There are screened windows, a standing fan, and roof vent for cooling. The yurts/domes are not temperature controlled environments.

**BATH + SHOWER** \-- Each site will have a clean & private outhouse about 100ft walk from the site stocked with toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and sawdust. There is one outdoor shower available at the Site #1 Gnomes Yome.

**WIFI** \-- There is no wifi on-site, but there is LTE cell service for T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon (provider signal strengthens in that order).

**ACCESS** \-- You will park about 100-150 ft away from the sites and walk to them via a fairy-lit trail through the forest. NOTE you will drive on a mile of gravel road to get to the property that can be rough in a few areas. There is nothing steep, just chewed up and bumpy. (take it slow and steady and you will be fine).

\*\***FIRE**\*\*-- Fires are allowed in the fire rings only. There are fire rings at each glampsite. Gather your own fire material from the site or purchase a fire starter and firewood from Walmart to make things easy!

Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! 

Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed with a memory foam mattress. The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that___s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, and 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs.

Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. 

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location.

If a Tentrr Host submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the host's property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Other Things to Note:

Park in our parking lot. We will show you the campsite. Our office for checkin closes at 7 pm so if you are arriving later than 7 pm please let us know in advance. We will accommodate you if at all possible.  Taking you to your site in daylight is better as then you can see your surroundings.

Stay aware and admire the wildlife.  NO feeding the wildlife.
 
This is a camping experience for single and couples. This is not small child friendly. This is a very calm and peaceful place and we would like anyone visiting to honor and enjoy all of the peaceful outdoor aspects of the site.  We expect everything to be left as found and respected.  Be considerate of the other campers and please no loud music or rowdiness. We have a quiet time between 10 pm and 7 am.

Please let us know if there is anything you need to make your stay more comfortable or enjoyable.  You can purchase wood from various local locations. You may also collect dead and down wood found in the nearby woods for campfires and kindling. 

IMPORTANT! We have bedding for two people who are staying in the canvas tent.  If you have extra people beyond two, you must bring your own bedding.  Also, because this is an outdoor camping experience, just want to remind you to bring necessary equipment to camp.

Tentrr Signature Site - Bear Creek Mountain Glamping

Hellbender Hollar is situated on the bank of White Oak Creek, a minute walk under the rhododendrons to the N. Toe River to which you have private access. These pristine waters host a breeding population of Hellbenders, as well as trophy-sized Brown and native Brook trout. Your senses will be overwhelmed with the refreshing, Earthy-coniferous smell of the forest and the sound of the bubbling creek right by your tent and fire pit. Imagine falling into a restorative sleep to the music of the rushing waters.  Wake up refreshed and stroll down to the private bank to take a dip, cast in a line or launch kayaks on the river. Among the extras we offer is a Finnish-style sauna experience (perfect for relaxing after a day of hiking). Other than our home (which you can make out through the dense understory) there really isn't much of any one else around. But you may see otters, beavers and Bald Eagles among other wildlife.  We're also the perfect jumping-off point for exploring all that the North Carolina High Country has to offer.

We have four friendly dogs who enjoy the woods. Well-behaved canines (UTD on vaccines) are welcome and we have food and water bowls at the campsite. There are laying hens and a feral cat colony (all neutered) on our property and lots of wildlife, so this might not be the best place for a dog with high prey drive. The campsite is also well-appointed: aside from many amenities listed elsewhere, we also provide a seasoned Dutch oven (with single-use liners), skewers for roasting hotdogs or marshmallows and two army-style cots.

We provide all the firewood you need: please don't bring your own as you could bring in pests that would harm our forest. 
No need to carry-out your trash: leave it bundled in the covered galvanized trash can on your site and we will carry it out for you (along with the dirty dishes and bed linens). 
The campsite is right on the bank of White Oak Creek with a high bank, and we have kept the site as natural as possible (there are roots, leaf litter and branches) so it may not be suitable for very small children who aren't completely steady on their feet. 
Hellbenders (Cryptobranchus alleganiensis, the largest salamander native to North America) are a bellwether species and endangered. If you catch one, it must be returned carefully to the river and reported to NC fish & wildlife. We're proud of how pristine our waters are and appreciate your also doing your part to protect and preserve the wildlife. 
Cell phone service is patchy. Towers are owned by CarolinaWest. Verizon works most of the time. If you need WiFi, you can come up to the house to connect. Or enjoy unplugging.

Tentrr Signature Site - Hellbender Hollar Campsite

Use Greener Acres campsite as your jumping-off point for fun nearby activities or relax on our 40 acre mountainside property and watch for meteor showers in the clear night sky! Within 5 minutes, you can be at Roan Mountain State Park or drive 5-10 minutes to hike the Appalachian Trail. Head up to Carvers Gap just below Roan Mountain High Knob where you can hop out and enjoy a short walk to a scenic view of both the TN and NC mountains or visit the famous Rhododendron Gardens in season. Campsite also boasts energizing, private hike up to Heaton Ridge.

Want to spend the day kayaking or canoeing? Head to Wilbur Lake, about a 30 minute drive away from our campsite. Exploring Laurel Falls is only a 20 minute drive away. Blue Ridge Parkway, Blowing Rock, and Grandfather Mountain in N.C. are about 30-45 minutes away. The Smokey Mountains, Gatlinburg, and Dollywood are about a 2 hour drive through amazing mountain views. The annual Rhododendron Festival takes place minutes away. Bristol Motor Speedway is about an hour away, an easy drive with little traffic.

Supplies can be found at the state park camp store or in town at Redi-Mart or Dollar General. Water is available down by barn via spring-fed spigot. Our John Deere Gator is available for the duration of your stay. Please arrive before sundown so we can meet you the first time you stay to show you the way and make sure you are comfortable driving Gator. We will have you follow us up to the campsite and from there you can come and go and just leave the Gator by your car near the barn when you are out and about and when checking out.

A small Bluetti power charging station will be available in the tent (for light charging of cell phones, other) which can be recharged by the barn if used heavily. A full-size grill with one side burner and propane tank has been added to the site along with pots, a frying pan and utensils is also included in the site. Another small propane tank is provided for the radiator in the tent. A 10x10 canopy tent covers the picnic table area next to the cooking area.

Public bathroom with shower and toilet are now available by barn. 

Note: You may hear our lovely blue tick dog, Dolly, or Duke, our boxer-coon mix occasionally. There are also bees making their delicious local honey in a nearby hives on the lower side on the property beyond the barn.

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! 

Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that___s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. 

Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. 

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property. 

If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper___s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your reservation confirmation on Airbnb. Your CampKeeper is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf, and they are unable to waive any cancellation fees (if applicable). You will need to connect to the wifi "Greener Acres Guest", no password is needed.  

Please keep the Gator on the trail for safety purposes. 

The minimum cleaning fee is $50 and will be charged for leaving a campsite a mess.

Tentrr Signature Site - Greener Acres Roan Mountain View

The Fox Den Campsite is nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Enjoy the beauty of rural North Carolina right from your canvas tent. This campsite is located on the grounds of Fox Grape Farm which is a 10 acre farm home to three Great Pyrenees dogs and 15+ myotonic goats, commonly known as fainting goats. These animals muscles stiffen when they are startled causing them to fall over, or faint. Also, you will most likely see deer in the evening time in the fields and at the edge of the woods. This campsite offers a bath house with a sink and a joolca shower that has a hot water heater powered by solar. The water is fed by 55 gallon barrels. The main tent has a queen size bed in it and there is room for 2 sleeping bags in the floor. Linens are included for the main tent. We also offer a pop up tent that will sleep up to six people. We have a blow up mattress and manual hand pump. Please note, this tent requires you to set it up and take down. You will need to bring linens for pop up tent.



During the winter months enjoy Zip N Slip Snow tubing park, Wolf Ridge Tubing as well as Wolf Ridge Ski Resort all of which are located one exit away. Mars Hill University is located one exit away as well along with coffee shops and restaurants.



We are located next to Burnsville which has shops, galleries, and restaurants. Burnsville is also home of Mount Mitchell, which is the highest summit in eastern USA. We are 20 minutes away from Asheville, which includes numerous one of a kind restaurants, Grove Park Inn and the Biltmore Estate. We are 5 miles away from Navitat Canopy Adventures which offers zip lining tours.



We are also 20 minutes away from French Broad Adventures which offers white water rafting, zip lining, canyoneering, and climbing walls. Buckhorn stables, which offers horseback riding is 20 minutes away as well.
