Clean and well managed
We decided to stay a night to explore Springfield. They had sites available, full hook ups and plenty of amenities.
Stockton Lake in Missouri provides a variety of camping experiences with multiple campground options managed by both the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Missouri State Parks. The area features established sites like Hawker Point, Orleans Trail, and Crabtree Cove where campers find a mix of tent sites, RV hookups, and cabin accommodations. Most campgrounds maintain direct access to the lake's clear blue waters, making them popular for boating and fishing activities. The surrounding landscape offers a combination of wooded areas with partial shade and open lakefront sites with views across the water.
Road conditions throughout the Stockton Lake area remain generally accessible for most vehicles, though some of the more remote campgrounds may have rougher access roads. Campgrounds typically operate year-round with peak season running from May through September when amenities like water stations are fully operational. "The campground is setup in 2 loops, non electric and electric, so if you're a tent camper you're not surrounded by noisy air conditioners running," notes one camper about Crabtree Cove. Many campgrounds offer reduced rates during off-season months, though visitors should note that water systems are often winterized after October. Reservations are strongly recommended during summer months when sites frequently reach capacity, especially on weekends.
Lakefront sites consistently receive the highest ratings from visitors due to their proximity to swimming and boating access points. The Corps of Engineers campgrounds like Hawker Point offer more privacy between sites compared to the state park locations, with mature trees creating natural separation. Several visitors highlight the water quality as exceptionally clear, making Stockton Lake particularly attractive for water activities. Sites in the C loop at Hawker Point are noted for offering the best combination of lake access and privacy, with one camper describing their experience as "completely private" with "our own private cove." Bathroom and shower facilities vary considerably between campgrounds, with some requiring drives to reach shower houses while others maintain modern facilities within walking distance of most sites.

Quite well kept site bathroom clean and tidy
We stayed for a week in campground A. It was the cleanest campground I have ever been to. Dorothy takes great pride in that place and it shows. The restrooms were VERY clean and the showers were great! The area was so quiet and peaceful like camping should be. I will definitely be coming back. Keep up the great work Dorothy! If it weren't for you and taking care of that place I wouldn't want to come back. See you again!
This place is absolutely incredible. The owners are so kind and hospitable and helpful and accommodating. This place also is absolutely stunningly beautiful. The serene nature, the amenities that the owners have worked hard to put in there, the animals, the kid-friendly atmosphere with the animals and other features, the campsites, the features, and the store.....this whole place is an absolute jewel to the region and the owners are so great! They really have worked hard on this place and still work hard and it shows! The property is growing too! Nearby Caplinger Mills and the nearby Stockton Lake are great! This whole experience was wonderful from the booking, the adjustments I asked for that they helped us with, and the actual camping time. The shower/restrooms are impeccably clean and are so beautiful and well maintained and designed. I'm telling you......every bit of this place is 10 out of 10 out of 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great restaurant awesome Marina, convenient parking and access for all the hook ups.
We loved this quiet, beautiful, relaxing campground. Set on the banks of the Sac River in the trees, it is the perfect get-away from city life.
Hubby and I just got a new camper and wanted to test it out close to home. This campground was one of the few that had 50 amp electric and water hookups with a dump station near a lake on short notice. Camp sites are close together but don't feel crowded. Nice level sites with lots of added patio areas on most. Very close to the lake. The cove is all a no wake area with a beach and plenty of space to kayak or paddle board. Definitely adding this to our lists of favorites!
I have a pull behind trailer. Big lots that pull through.
I would not recommend Camp Mi Casa based on my experience. When I originally chose this park, the website clearly advertised the monthly rate as $500 plus electric. After I arrived, however, I was told the price was $700 per month. There was no written lease or rental agreement explaining the difference. I paid the $700 for the first month. The following month I was charged another $700. Then I received a bill for $738 with no itemization explaining the additional $38. When I questioned the difference between the advertised $500 rate and the $700 I was being charged, management refused to correct the website price. I was also told that what I was paying was a “subscription” rather than rent, which I found very strange. For comparison, I eventually moved to another RV park. They charge $450 per month plus electric, exactly as advertised, and I received a clear receipt showing what I paid and what the deposit was for. My issue isn't simply that Camp Mi Casa charges $700. A business can charge whatever it wants. My problem is advertising one price and then charging a different price after the customer arrives, without a written agreement or clear itemized billing. I would strongly recommend getting the exact monthly price, all fees, and the terms in writing before committing to a stay at Camp Mi Casa. My experience was enough that I chose to take my business elsewhere.
