It’s a great campsite, clean bathrooms, great scenery, easy-going camp host and overall I do it again for us
We pulled in at 11pm and back on road by 7 am so we didn’t get to experience most of campground
So review is based on just a quick overnight stop
Site was not level (gravel Pull through) so required leveling
Overall it was easy to quick pull in and sleep for night
Pool looked clean as we passed on our way out
We did not use bathrooms or showers
Lots of full time or sesasonal campers
The staff on phone when I called for late check in were very kind
We stopped here for one night on our trip from Texas to Iowa - very nice campground! It’s well kept, clean, and nice facilities. The site wasn’t very level, but other than that, it was great.
The renovations they just did to this campground are fantastic and really surprising to find in a state park. Most of the campsites were paved to an extent, but where we stayed they all had large concrete slabs that covered the picnic area as well as the landing site for the RV. It was very nice. They have planted new trees, so eventually it will have plenty of shade. The bathrooms were also clean. The sites were spread out and we had plenty of room to ourselves. The park as a whole was very nice and well maintained, as was the town. I would definitely stay here again!
We stayed at this campground overnight while we were traveling west. The site was easy to access and very quite.
We stayed at this campground for 1 night while we were heading to Nevada, the campground was nice and quite. We pulled in later in the afternoon so we did not have any opportunity to check out the amenities.
The park was excellent. Lots of sites but well planned out . Laundry room, restrooms with showers. Tucked away, very private. All concrete slabs.
This park has two entrances. One leads to to 2 fishing areas, one with a pier and a toilet (we didn't check out). It also leads to a gold course. The other entrance has disc golf scattered throughout and a campsite at the end of the road. It has a gravel pad, trash can, fire pit, and bbq pit. The trash was not full which we did appreciate but the firepit had trash in it and there was a lot of debris on the ground, like broken glass, fishing line/rusty hooks, small litter. Also was a bit busier than we expected, especiallysince it was a Monday evening/night.. We had some disc golf players park near us to do the course, maybe it starts here at the site, idk. One older gentleman stopped by to fish. One truck with a kayak in the back pulled up but then turned around and a couple of cars just turned around at the end of the road. We went fishing for a little bit. My husband caught a couple of small fish and also got some lures untangled from a tree so win!! It says no swimming here, unfortunately, because when we're visiting it's crazy hot. We didn't see any signs about camping at all, but looking it up online, there are apparently 3 camp sites here operated on a first come first serve basis with no formal registration required. So, free is awesome! Lots of trees! No bathroom on this side of the lake as we've seen.
This is a GREAT RV PARK! The new owners have done GREAT work to bring it back!

Lake recreation opportunities: Crow's Creek Campground offers direct water access with multiple activities. "We could walk right down a grassy hill to the trail along the lake. We had lots of grassy space around us to set up and play yard games. Trails and roads within the campsite are paved, so it's great for bikes and scooters," according to Julie B.
Historical attractions: While camping at Watkins Mill State Park, visitors can explore local history. "If you like history, take a tour of the woolen mill part. Very cool," recommends Josh P. The park features historical sites just a short drive from the campground.

Hookup positioning: Pay attention to utility placement when selecting sites. "The utilities were located mid-to-rear on the site, and we had no trouble reaching them," notes a Blue Springs Lake camper, but this varies between campgrounds.
Access challenges: Some camping areas have navigation challenges. When exiting Blue Springs Lake Campground, "If you have a big rig, you'll want to stay to the left side of the dump station for a wider right turn out of the park," advises an experienced RVer.
