Another camper explains, "They really enjoyed the glow wagon ride. Root beer floats Saturday night were great!"
Concrete pads at sites: Multiple campgrounds offer level, paved camping spots. At Hidden Ridge, "All sites include a concrete pad, fire ring and full hook-up. 120/150 amp," while one camper appreciates that "All sites are good size sites with a cement pad and very green grass."

Site flooding concerns: Some campgrounds experience drainage issues during heavy rain. At Yankee Springs Gun Lake, "flooding was a problem last time I was there. We got 2-4" of rain overnight," reports Jacob K. Similarly, at Tri-Ponds, a camper noted "last year it rained all weekend and our site was super muddy!"
Limited nearby services: Some campgrounds are situated away from conveniences. One reviewer of Hidden Ridge mentioned "there isn't much close the the campground at all. Like the closest gas station is 15 miles. Not really any fast food restaurants either."
