Private Paradise

My favorite spot to camp because the spots are secluded from one another with trees and brush. This campground is well maintained.

Great water access, bugs can be a problem

We spent two nights at E G Simmons County Park in Ruskin, Florida. It is first come, first served, no reservations but a quick call will let you know if they have sites available. Many sites are along the water with a small access point in the campsite. The saltwater access is to an exceptionally…

One of our favorites so far

Such a great place to camp with the family. Water front sites so we could take 10 steps out the camper and be in the water with the kayak. The park also has some of the best natural beaches in FL. The store is great and employees were super friendly. Only drawbacks was dust from roadways as it was…

Peace time at Peace River

Canoe Outpost Peace River has different length of trips you can do. My wife and I have done the 12 mile twice. It was relaxing and the service they have to take your gear to campsite is just amazing. Highly recommend!

Lovely Relaxed Atmosphere

Check in is a breeze. Make sure to have your registration. I prefer loop 1 because of my bigger rig. Host are super friendly & helpful. There's a few piers, trails, & a playground. It's $18 for disabilities or seniors

Nasty Host / Cool Park

Always have an issue with ppl working here. Cheyenne is beyond disrespectful we've decided to leave after our week stay. We've also made the complaint to the manager.

The park is beautiful. Have to pay additional for the spring.

Convenient to Interstate 75

I mainly choose this campground because it was close to my son’s home in Sarasota. The people in the office were very nice. The park is kept clean. I am in the pull thru sites which are a little tight and can be challenging to park on in big rigs. Roads are narrow with lots of turns. If you have a…

Beautiful Spot - INVASIVE ANIMALS

Beautiful spot with plenty of activities. Easy to set up, most sites relatively private. Bath room facilities are relatively clean but not great - 6/10. You can have a fire but fire pits aren’t provided.

The real problem is the rats and raccoons. The trash here is not secured and the place is…

Good for biking

The only things to do at the campground are biking and hose back riding. The campsites are spread out. Campfires were permitted. No sewer connections.

Beautiful Campground

I absolutely loved the MacDill FamCamp. It’s right by the beach and marina. There’s a small dog beach and two dog parks. Laundry facilities are centrally located. Cable is included. I recommend bringing a Verizon hotspot or stopping at spectrum and getting a WiFi plan. cellular service is not…

Quiet, No Frills, Full Hook-Ups

55+ mobile home park. They have a few spots available.

We stayed for just under a week and enjoyed the quiet and friendly park.

As we walked the property, residents were friendly.

We didn't really use any of the facilities, but overall a great visit.

Crowded, but nice staff and lots to do.

We pulled up late at night and in the middle of a bad rain storm.

Staff was wonderful, helpful, and nice. Had a minor electrical issue, but they fixed it almost immediately when I told them about it.

Because they are so nice and helpful, they bring in the crowds. It was hot, so the pool was…
