Beach access: Cabins near water features provide multiple recreation options. "A great eat location to call home while exploring the area. Nice views at camp. Clean restrooms and showers! We spent a lot of time in Telluride, Ouray, and Silverton so we did not take advantage of the park. However, there was access to kayak, paddle board, and boat rentals," writes Lance H. about Dakota Terraces Campground.
Space between sites: Family cabin camping benefits from adequate spacing. "The spacing of the sites is ample and most of the sites have covered picnic tables. Inside the park there are some nice hikes around the Reservoir. The fishing from the shore and a boat was better than most of the places we have camped," notes Kathi V.

Off-season advantages: Ouray Riverside Resort provides cabin options when RV sites become more available. "We were only here for one night but would definitely stay here again! They have a large facility with RV sites, look liked some small cabins to rent, restaurant, laundry mat and probably some other things we didn't get a chance to see," shares Drew R.
Town access: RVers appreciate cabin options with walking distance to amenities. "This park is at the end of the town but within walking distance of almost everything. I found it to be expensive. The restroom facilities are very nice. New and modern. It was full hook up," notes wayne H. about Red Mountain RV Park.
Site selection tips: Many cabin facilities require advance planning. "There are three places to stay in this park, the Dakota Loops, the Elk Ridge Terraces, and Pa Co Chu Puk down the road. The last of the three has zero climb, and likely most useful for very large RV's," advises Daniel K.
