Port Of Kimberling Resort & Campground

    Beautiful campground

Lake views, a spacious site, wildlife, and trees. The price wasn't too bad, but a bit more than we typically like to spend.

Beaver Dam Dive Shop and Resort

    Great optiion

Great campground with good staff. Some of the parking spots can be hard to pull into is you are in a mega sized rig amd dont know how to drive your set up. Its home for lots of scuba divers. Get to know them! Everyone is super friendly. Chickens ranging free on the property. Fresh eggs for sale. If you are the person who wants perfectly flat pads and want the Koa campground mega camper vibe this is not your spot. If you want to have a great campground with incredible sunset views stop on by. I recommend the concrete slab across from the dive shop. Grab your favorite drink from the dive shop. And make great memories! And get to know your fellow travelers.

Horseshoe Bend Rec Area & Campground

    Great for kids

I was in site 61, which was awful. Right in the middle of screaming kids in the lake on 1 side, screaming kids on the playground on the other side. The site was so tight my mini Van barely fit. No place to sit at the fire pit at all. The bath house toilet wouldn't flush and was full of shit. I left and parked at the local cracker barrel! So dissapointing!

    Rocky Branch Campground

Camp host was impossible to locate

Camp host was impossible to locate to get a parking pass. We looked for an hour and a half. The next morning she arrived angry we didn’t “put in more effort” very rude.

    Pine Hollow 1045 Dispersed Camping

    Beautiful remote primitive campsite

Excellent little campsite great for a couple tents at most we camped using a rooftop tent and it was a great spot. Very quite very clean unlike some other sites in the area. There is a second site just down the little pull off but it’s not level so would be a last resort. Don’t recommend bringing anything to large down the road camper van would be fine but would be difficult with a full size rig or towing anything much larger than a pop up. Enjoy!!

    Great location for Table Rock

Nice and clean. Close to water slide and Silver Dollar City. The sites are small and difficult to back in though.

    Cape Fair

    Very nice place

This is a very nice place. The sites are fairly close together but staggered so it is much better. Electric and water in the sites. Bathrooms and showers are located close by and are very clean. There are sites closer to the lake but I chose one at a higher elevation as there were flood warnings out last night as it rained a lot over this entire area of Missouri. Nice clean picnic tables and the fire rings are the good style that you do not need tons of wood to be able to cook. Some have the grill grate so high up that even at the lowest setting you still need a lot of wood to build a fire large enough to reach that high.

Guide to Rogers

Camping sites near Rogers, Arkansas span from lakefront Corps of Engineers parks to mountain bike-accessible locations. The region sits in the Ozark Highlands, with elevations ranging from 1,100 to 1,400 feet, creating a landscape of rolling hills surrounding Beaver Lake. Winter temperatures can drop below freezing from December through February, requiring proper insulation for cold-weather camping.

What to do

Fishing access: Prairie Creek Campground connects directly to Beaver Lake with good boat launch facilities. "Beautiful setting on the shores of Beaver Lake, just 10 miles outside Rogers AR. Nice amenities, modern campsites, well maintained and staffed," notes Carl B. about Prairie Creek.

Mountain biking: The Campground at Coler offers immediate trail access. "Beautiful facilities, quite camping in the heart of Coler Mountain Bike Park. Minutes away from downtown Bentonville, feels like it is miles away from the rest of the world," reports Lauren about The Campground at Coler.

Hiking trails: The 5-mile trail at Lost Bridge provides both exercise and history. "There is a 5-mile trail that runs through the park. Pretty hard to follow in spots but one side of it runs along the lake and is beautiful. There are also some historical aspects to the trail that are interesting," shares Doug G. about Lost Bridge North.

What campers like

Lake views: Many campsites at Horseshoe Bend offer water views. "Found this gem tucked away in Northwest Arkansas. Corps of Engineers Campground. Very well-maintained. Gorgeous lake with lots of lakefront sites. Several bathhouses," reports Mary D. about Horseshoe Bend.

Tent camping separation: Some campgrounds separate tents from RVs. "What I like about this campground is that the tent sites are separate from the RV area, and RV's don't have to go through the tents to get to their area," notes Annie C. about Blowing Springs.

Fall colors: The region transforms in autumn with vibrant foliage. "Fall colors are fantastic. COE campground on Beaver Lake. Quiet and relaxing for a change," shares Luckybreak R. about Prairie Creek Campground.

What you should know

Site leveling challenges: Many campgrounds have uneven sites. "Be prepared with as many leveling blocks as you can bring if you have a trailer. All spots seemed to have unlevel pads," warns Mandi R. about Beaver Lake Prairie Creek Campground.

Bathroom facilities vary: Quality and access to bathrooms can differ considerably. "The bathrooms could use some updating and the campground seems better built for Camper Trailers and RVs than it does for tents," reports Matt S. about Prairie Creek.

Electric-only hookups: Most lakeside spots offer electric without water connections. "No water hookups. You fill your camper before you come," explains Mary D. about Horseshoe Bend Rec Area.

Tips for camping with families

Playground access: Some campgrounds offer dedicated play areas. "Swimming area was very spacious. Nice playground for kids. Sites are in several smaller groups so it would be great for camping with friends and family," shares Mary D. about Horseshoe Bend.

Swimming spots: Rocky beaches require proper footwear. "Swim beach is okay. Make sure to pack water shoes. There isn't sand and it is very rocky," advises Doug G. about Lost Bridge North.

Wildlife viewing: Many sites offer opportunities to see animals. "Plenty of wildlife to watch. Many deer to watch," notes Susan C. about War Eagle Campground.

Tips from RVers

Extension cord needs: Some electric hookups are awkwardly positioned. "The electric at our site was way in front of the campter, about the distance of the front, right bumper of our truck. We had to go by a $50 extension cord to even hook up," warns Heidi S. about War Eagle Campground.

Dump station locations: Know where to empty tanks. "No sewer hook ups. There is however a dump station on site. The bathrooms are also just average," reports Mike B. about Prairie Creek.

Seasonal options: Year-round RV camping is available at select sites. "Been here three times. I do business in NWA. It's nicer and cleaner than the other parks. You pay a bit more but they also have weekly and monthly options," explains TJ W. about The Creeks Golf & RV Resort.
