    Fireside Resort at Jackson Hole

    Location, Location, Location

Mixed feelings about this park. The sites are tight. Sites without water hookups are directed to use spigots located in other sites. Agree with others that the RV area could use some upgrades and better upkeep. Bathrooms were outdated. We liked that it was out of the city and close to Teton Village with an adjacent restaurant and access to the multiuse path. Can be noisy into the evening if there is an event at the adjacent restaurant.

    Great location and friendly staff

We stayed here for a few days - I had a conference in Teton Village and this was the perfect location. Easy to get to the conference hotel every morning for the breakfast sessions, and easy to get into Grand Teton National park in the afternoons.

Water and sewer hookup, and good WiFi if you need to work. Only problem was the tree branches blocked my satellite!

    Star Valley Ranch RV Park

Near location attractions like Crystal Lake

Nice dog park for big and small dogs. At this campground, you are a little close to neighbors but they stagger the trailers so it works. Nice trees for shade. The restrooms were as clean but they were older facilities. No road noise.

Colter Bay Tent Village at Colter Bay Village — Grand Teton National Park

    Enormous campground

I guess all things are grand in Grand Teton NP, this campground is enormous! 350 sItes! This was a spontaneous trip into the park, at the entrance it shows which campgrounds inside the park still have sites available. The ranger suggested Colter Bay as his favorite with availability. It was an hour and half drive from the southern most entrance be Teton Village. I arrived at the queue line to get a site just after 8 pm. I was able to snag the second to last site available! It was an RV site, but had a nice tent pad as well. Generators are required to be off at 8 pm so I didn’t experience what it was like with all the generators running in this area. The sites are roomy for being so many. There are bear boxes for food storage, fire pit with grill, and a picnic table available at each site. Each loop has 1-2 restroom facilities available that have flush toilets and a wash area available.
Outside the campground there is a full service restaurant and grocery store. The pay showers and laundry are right next to the market, less than a half mile from camp. There is also a gas station where you enter the Colter Bay Area.

Activities galore! I had my mountain bike with me and had planned on biking some of the many trails but they are foot traffic only. You can bike in the park on paved trails. They discourage trail running because it could aggravate a bear if encountered. They have boat rentals at the marina I was going to rent a kayak for a quick morning paddle, but they have a 2 hour minimum and I didn’t want to pay $50 for 1 hour use.

Colter Bay Tent Village at Colter Bay Village — Grand Teton National Park

good spot on north side of Jackson Lake

You can’t really go wrong in the Tetons, bc...it’s the Tetons. We base-camped here for 4 nights to explore GTNP. only regret is that it made for some long drives down to the southern areas of the park/Jackson/Teton Village. If we did it over, might’ve split with some nights in Gros Ventre or even Granite Creek, but CB was good for us. it’s a busy mini-town with tons of activity, people, and tour buses during the day. But we benefited from the showers and laundry. plus, you can usually find a quiet place somewhere on the shore of Jackson Lake.

the CG Is huge but empties out every day by 10am (it filled up only a couple of the nights we were there). our spot was a little more spacious, which the kids enjoyed. most sites weren’t much to look at, but walk a few feet and you’ll see Mt Moran over thr trees, which makes up for it.

Only complaint was that we were told when arriving we couldnt take a particular site that was open bc it was being held for someone. i told the guard i thought all sites were FCFS with no reservations? we took the site across from that one, and nobody ever came for the site we wanted.

Having big bear boxes at every site was really appreciated. Grants Village in Yellowstone had one box half that size that was shared by 5-6 sites—nope!

    Fireside Buffalo Valley

    Great location; but overpriced!

It's hard to beat the location with the entrance to the Grand Teton NP being so close, but it is overpriced for the condition of the park and the amenities. The park accommodates a lot of people; however there is no trash pick up so you have to walk to the dumpster by the office when needed(we didn't mind the walk, but we have stayed at places half this much and they at least had a trash pick up); the laundry room was not very clean and had a small amount of functioning dryers for the size of the park. Only 5 of the 9 dryers were able to be used. The others had "Out of Order" signs on them. Had to wait for a dryer because of this maintenance issue. Nearest grocery was Albertsons in Jackson(35 mins away) so I would suggest planning ahead.

WIFI& CELL SERVICE: Wifi worked shockingly well for how busy their park was. I give it a 4 out of 5. AT&T cell service- 3 out of 4 bars.

SITE: Gravel in the entire park. Level. We were second to last in our row which reduced in dust as cars went by. Along with it not being very windy, this enabled us to have our windows open the majority of the time to let the fresh mountain air in- that was awesome! The mosquitos were pretty bad in the evenings, but were hard to find during the day. Looked out into surrounding pastures with the backdrop of the Tetons and horses across the street.

NEARBY SITES: Suggestions: Thai Me Up- great restaurant in Jackson; Moo's Ice Cream- delicious in Jackson; the 35 mile bike look from Jackson--> Moran--> Teton Village--> back to Jackson- it was the best and we even biked right past a grizzly taking a swim! We rented bikes from Hoback Bike Rentals in Jackson

    Wolf Den RV Park

    Small, very clean campground

Meticulously cared for family owned and run campground with log cabins. Many pros to this campground... Nice wide sites, most pull through, clean showers and laundry room. The people who run it are super friendly and helpful. Great liquor store and great food truck attached to the grounds. great hook ups, reception and even better WiFi. Only cons are that it is just off Hwy 89, but you don't hear road noise at night. No dog park and is over an hour to Grand Teton and Jackson Hole. We did find great hiking only a few minutes from the campground. We would definitely recommend this place. The owners are constantly out doing improvements, which impressed us a great deal

    Sugar City RV Park

    Sugar City RV

Very nice "state of the art" RV Park. Clean showers, nice clothes wash facilities, dog friendly with fenced run area, cat approved by "Liza", just in her trailer trash tabby space. Great access to Tetons and Yellowstone, good shopping overall in Sugar City and nearby Rexburg. But ! It's not boondocking or cheap, so we'll live with it for our Yellowstone and Teton visit
