TENT CAMPING NOT CURRENTLY OPEN DURING COVID COVID19 UPDATE: We are open with social distance measures in place. We have our boat launch open, as well as RV Sites and Cabins. We will have public restrooms open during limited hours during the day. Public showers, clubhouse, and laundry room will be closed. If you reserve an RV Site, you will have to be "self contained" and use the restroom facilities in your own RV. Our cabins have a full bathroom inside them already, obviously you can use those without any issues. We will NOT have tent camping open at this time. The boat launch will be open. Safety is our first priority, so anybody using the RV Park in any capacity must heed to social distancing requirements as outlined by the CDC, DOH, and Northeast Tri County Health District. Thank you and stay safe.

    Enjoyable Stay

We followed the map from the post confirmation email we received from the Fairgrounds that included the gate code as well. We realized we hadn't recieved the email with the gate code, so about an hour out, we emailed to ask about the gate code. We got an immediate reply, which was nice. Once we got in the campground (CG) area, we had the choice of the closely spaced pull throughs A-1 through A-8 or the B back-in area that consists of 35 sites spread out over several rows. We decided on site B-29 with water and electric(50/30/20) that had one of the two nice-sized picnic tables in the CG plus two trees for some shade. Since the back-in sites are in a large grass/dirt field, you can pull around and make them pull throughs. You have to figure out how you are going to angle in the sites and hook up to the water and electric, as the utilties for each site aren't exactly intuitive. The power worked well and we got about 50 psi on the water. We got 4 bars on Verizon and since there are not a lot of trees, a clear shot for Starlink. This CG is bare bones, but we enjoyed that there were only about four campers while we were there on a Friday- Monday in July. There are plenty of little dumpsters and a dump station up near the north part/entrance. There’s a restroom building towards the CG entrance but it’s just a men’s and women’s two stall bathroom. There’s no shower facility in the CG. We enjoyed our three day stay.

    Nice but busy

Pretty nice and quiet place just north of town. I stayed here 2 out of the 3 nights we're allowed to stay in a 30 day period. The Campground Hosts are nice people. The campground is very nicely setup and clean.

The weekend can get pretty busy during the summer, first come fist served bases. Will stay again in the future if need be. 🤠

It's $11.50 for a day pass or $40 for the season.

    Not much to do...

Well, it was a beautiful area , with great scenery but if you have kids under 10 yrs old there is absolutely nothing for them to do. I mean NOTHING. We won't go back. We never saw a single staff member or volunteer in 3 days.

    Homey

It is peaceful, not very busy. Nice trees around. Owners seem a little haphazard, nice people but it’s maybe a little bit janky here. If it wasn’t so expensive I’d stay awhile.

    Infested with bees

This campground has way, way too many bees. They are a nuisance can't relax without having to worry about a bee flying in your face. Worst campground in this state for bees. Never going to this campground again.

    Good stay

Arrived early in the afternoon and got the last spot, looked to be a lot of people staying longer term; but still was quiet and there are lots of places to walk with pets/explore around camp.

    Amazing night here!

We were on the last night of a long cross country road trip and looking for a place to stay on line. We were actually headed to another place, but followed signs to this place and I’m so glad we did! The camp host came out and greeted us warmly, despite being nearly midnight. She picked out the perfect spot for us and walked us there. I’m glad she did, because all spots are all grass and it’s a little difficult to tell where one stops and another starts. The campground has tent and RV sites, and is on the edge of Sprague Lake. Large, well manicures trees offer dappled sunlight, and an amazing front seat to birds! place is spotless. The woman was even raking goose poop. The woman in charge runs a tight ship, but the result is a quiet, clean, grassy oasis with bald eagles nesting next door. Two slight drawbacks, there are train tracks on the other side of the lake. It’s noticeable, but not deafening. Also, it was a bit pricey with a per person charge, a tax, then a 5% fee to pay with a credit card… but better than any alternative we had.

    Spacious sites

A lot of places to camp here all equipped with fire rings. We had a 30ft RV and drove in on the nice gravel road. We took the very last camping spot closest to the lake and it had a good amount of shade on all sides. It was big enough to fit two campers if camping with friends. The spot was very spacious and felt private. It was clean with only a couple specks of trash that we found.

We walked down to the lake and it looked great for paddle boarding or small boats/rafts but not for swimming. There is a lot of seaweed and it’s murky.

The area/sites are really dusty in July. Lots of dirt but the road is gravel. Sites are pretty well spread out.

We took a little hike and saw a buck with a big rack on it, other deer, and a coyote. Great spot for back country hiking.

    Nice spot with wildflowers

Easy access off of I90. Mostly quiet overnight stay as we heard some people from another site and the road was trafficked with people looking for sites. Train noise as well. A fire pit was available. But there was some broken glass and shell casings at our site

Wonderful Spokane campsite in a gorgeous state park!

I love camping at Bowl and Pitcher at least once a year. It's a well kept campground in a gorgeous state park with great hiking and walking trails! I strongly suggest campsite 24 for tent campers, it is the one I always get when I camp here. It is large, nicely shaded, and more private than a lot of the other campsites at the campground.

    Spring Canyon Campground

    Good park, subpar campsites

I could see this spot being great for group sites. But the campsites were hard, small, and lacked privacy. Also, being in the upper loop, the Park Ranger made us extinguish our small tabletop smores solo stove. Not a big deal for us, but put a damper on our evening.

The beach and park were great! Lots of amenities—showers, sand beach, docks, volleyball, seating, grills, etc. However, the volleyball court sand was incredibly shallow and hard. Avoid diving to the ground while playing.

The Park Ranger let us know we could have a fire on the beach—which was the saving grace of the trip.

    Amazing view but windy site

We were lucky and got a last minute ADA site. This site was amazingly clean and with its own private gazebo and concrete slab. The 4 newly upgraded bathrooms each have a flush toilet, sink, and accessible shower. The site has an incredible view of Long Lake but it’s a bit windy too. Please note this campground does not have a RV dump station. To access the water it’s best to drive from your campsite. The boat launch and swim area is nice with lots of individual gazebos and picnic tables. The swim area doesn’t appear to be toddler friendly as it isn’t a gradual incline into the water. There is a single ramp for access however. The restrooms here are 2 vault toilets. We would probably visit this location again.

    Quiet refuge

Only about 45 min north of Spokane- quiet spot on the lake and nicely maintained campground.

I had planned to stay at Bowl and Pitcher but gates were locked when I arrived around dusk. Rolled in here and there were plenty of spots open (weeknight) all first come first serve for $27.

    Early May Camping

This camping spot is conveniently located off a well groomed gravel road just a mile or so from the main paved road. It’s the first campsite we came to as we drove into Lake Roosevelt. There were a couple other campers, but it wasn’t crowded at all. The only downfall is the sites are really close to one another. But the lake and beach are huge and there’s plenty of room for your dogs to play. There’s Fire pits and picnic tables for each designated camp site. Sometimes even a little firewood. We pulled our pop-up camper into site 7 which was perfect. Then we fished and enjoyed the evening under the stars.

    Nice Little Campground

I occasionally go down here for fishing. Nice little campground. Easy access to the water. The waterfall really flows in the spring, but slows as summer sets in. Fishing was decent. The boat launch is only available during high water. When Grand Coulee starts letting the water down in Lake Roosevelt the Hawk Creek boat launch gets closed. Don’t worry there are a few other boat launches within a short drive (10-15 minutes).

    Great Campground

We loved this campground. The grounds were well maintained, and bathrooms were clean. There was a good amount of space between sites, which was great. Most spots were very nice, and many were right next to the water. My guess is that it's a busy park during peak season, but our shoulder season timing was perfect for peace and quiet. There are a couple of good hikes nearby, and I hiked the Steamboat Rock hike. The first 1/3 of the hike was more moderate with steep trails and scree, but it gets easier once you're past that.

    Absolutely beautiful, and cold!

We spent Thanksgiving weekend camping this year. The campground was partially open but very empty. The bathroom was open and warm, which was lovely. We hung out, hiked, fished, and enjoyed the deer, pheasant and wild turkeys wandering the grounds.
