Best RV Parks & Resorts near Vantage, WA

Several RV parks near Vantage provide access to the Columbia River basin and surrounding attractions. Ginkgo Petrified Forest State Park Campground offers spacious RV sites with privacy between them and views of the lake. Sage Hills Golf Club & RV Resort features pull-through sites with 50-amp service, full hookups, and minimum 50-foot lengths to accommodate larger vehicles. The resort includes amenities specifically designed for big rig access, with grassy areas between sites and sunset views. Smokiam RV Resort provides water and electric hookups, though sites are positioned close together. "All RV sites are big rig friendly, minimum 50 feet, and all are pull-throughs with full hookups including 50/30 amp service, and price includes electric," noted one visitor about Sage Hills.

Advance reservations are strongly recommended during summer months when Columbia River recreation draws crowds to limited RV spaces. Most parks in the region maintain year-round operations, though seasonal closures affect some facilities between October and April. Cell service varies significantly throughout the area, with stronger signals near larger towns and spotty coverage in canyon areas. Dump stations are available at select locations including Potholes State Park, which features token-operated showers and fish cleaning stations for anglers. Sites at Wanapum State Park provide lake views but lack dog park facilities. Weather conditions can change rapidly, with summer temperatures frequently exceeding 90 degrees. Propane refills are limited to larger facilities, requiring planning for extended stays.

Squaw Rock RV Resort and Campground

Good base camp for doing Outdoors Activities

I wanted to fish for a few days without having to drive to somewhere else to fish. We chose Squaw Rock for its amenities and its river access. Our rating is based on how well it met our desires. We felt Squaw Rocks location was good for making day trips. We'd stay here again. This is a mixture of cabins and RV sites. The cabins are nice and nicely laid out on the property. The RV sites back in onto the Naches River, unless you decide to drive into the site and face the river like we did. We ran our water and electricity under the coach to the service point. Our site was very close to level. The sites are very close together and you share the site utilities. It can get tight. Not all sites have sewer hookups. The common grounds are well-kept. The pool was clean and checked/serviced each day. The staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. We found others staying here easy to meet and/or chat with. Know what you are getting! Single utility service serves two sites. The water spigot has a Y splitter to share a single water connection.- Power has one 30 Amp and one 50 Amp socket. The first rig arriving gets to choose which one they want to use.- There is NO Park RV Dump station. You're in a valley with NO cell service. Wi-Fi in the park is non-existent. There's a weak signal near the office. We camped at Squaw Rock Resort in a Motorhome.

Sage Hills Golf Club & RV Resort

    Perfect Weekend Getaway

With gas prices out of control this was a perfect weekend getaway right off highway 17. Immaculately kept RV sites and 20 yards from teeing off. Full hookups, propane refill and a pool. Clubhouse serves food and does have full service bar during golfing hours. (9-5). One hour from tri cities and 15 minutes from Moses Lake or the potholes.

    Circle H RV Ranch

    Disappointing

Moon travel guide said this was scenic rating of 8 out of 10. Yeah right!! This is mostly full time RVers. It’s right by a highway so there’s highway noise all night. The other side stares into an RV sales lot - ugly. Site 32’s hookups we’re broken - electricity wired wrong on both 30 & 50 amp(glad we caught it before plugging in!), water hookup wouldn’t flow. Will never stay here again, definitely not worth $57/night.

    Mardon Resort

    Convenient but Crowded

This was our first visit to an RV “resort” and it wasn’t horrible. MarDon has lots of nice amenities but boy is it crowded. If you don’t mind crowds and like the convenience of resort camping MarDon is a good choice.

(Disclaimer: I prefer boondocking and getting as far away from people as possible, so read this review with that in mind.)

MarDon Resort sits on Potholes Reservoir about 16 miles southwest of Moses Lake. The reservoir is massive and offers excellent fishing and water sports. Central Washington gets dry and hot in the summer so come prepared.

The Resort has been around since the 1970s and offers a lot of amenities: full hookup sites, tent sites, monthly rates, marina, restaurant & bar, swimming beach, mini golf, boat & golf cart rentals and more.

    Wenatchee Confluence State Park Campground

    Super nice campground

Even though 99% of the time we boondock, we’ve stayed at this campground twice now. Once in the summer months and now in November. This last stay was FCFS. There isn’t any water hookups any longer for winter but there are many sights that have electric and dump hookups that are still operational. The camp itself is very well maintained. They are all drive through spots with a a picnic table on a concrete pad connected to a small gravel area that has a fire ring. A lot of open grassy area and the sites are definitely spaced far enough apart you don’t feel you’re on top of each other. Even in November, there’s groundskeepers maintaining the sites, leaf blowing, etc. would not hesitate to stay here again!

    Douglas Creek

    Hidden Suprise

Arrived around 2pm to the Douglas Creek Trailhead. The 8 miles of road H to get to Douglas Creek Rec area is gravel, primitive -no signs. Hiked the canyon for ~3miles. Lots of groundhogs and birds. Campsites are roughly half mile from the parking lot for hiking. The gravel road here is much narrower, and has more aggressive rocks/stones. Between the parking lot and campsites several large puddles/ponds took over the road. Campsites have pull throughs for RV’s. I chose the third site I saw, steep downhill to the fire pit, but close walk to the creek. The grounds are minimal, no services (no toilets, picnic tables, hookups, trash bins etc). Had no cell service. Weather was in the upper 60’s, no clouds. Perfect getaway.
