Great state park

We car camped with our three kids for a few nights. It was like most state parks, so not super private or remote - but it was a good state park. The tend sites are wooded and private. Showers were cold. We walked down to the beach to clam for dinner, which was a neat experience for the kids.

Remote, yet close to the city

We went here for our test run of our RV. Nice quiet area in great forest. Lots of hiking around, if you can find the loop. Electrical only. No water or sewer at the site.

Pardon Me???

We have been recreating for over 60 years on this lake and none of us ever knew that this was a private Christian campsite that requires you to abide by the scriptures THEY chose. It is one thing to market yourself as a Christian camp, and another to expect other Christians to abide by THEIR…

Very nice smaller park

RV sites 1, 2, 4, 9, and 11 will be easier to back in to. The other full hook up sites are 90° approaches. Very nice park for playground and a very nice venue building. A lot of picnic tables in the open and in the shade of trees.
Small rocky beach only accessable when the is not to…

Nice campground with clam and oyster beds.

Right on the river on one side of the freeway, and hood canal on the other. Has some road noise for sure. Good hiking.

Cozy Spot

Cute campground very close to Seattle and Bellevue right on the lake. Beautiful beach area, basketball courts, playground, and volleyball right at the site. Spots are a little tight. Looks like they cater mostly to day use and corporate events during season. But they do take great care of the…

Nice campground in the woods

I've stayed here many times over the years. I love how quiet and woodsy it is here. Lots of fun spots along the river to enjoy. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked.

Opens only on May 27

We were looking forward to a quiet and simple night camping in our little rented self-contained camper van on the last day of a 12-day road trip. We arrived at the end of the road to find the campground closed, so we ended up abandoning our final night and driving home. The campground is pretty,…

Dosewallips State Park, Brinnon, WA - favorite on the Hood Canal

Plenty of FHU sites and loads of camping sites. There are 11 cabins and 3 Platform Tents - combined with RV and tent sites - all of which must be reserved online. Restrooms and Outhouses are numerous and dispersed throughout. Pay Showers ($.50 token) are in central Restrooms. Only 1 shower per…

Healing Retreat Now Open to the Public

This is not a typical camping area. It is a private, non-profit, healing retreat focusing on wellness. It started out as a place for people recovering from cancer and their loved ones and healthcare providers. It recently opened to the public while still maintaining a focus on health and…

Beautiful, clean camping near the city

This is a great campground with 30 amp hookups in certain loops. No city water hookup, but just filled our fresh water tank. There is a sewer dump outside the campground. Very clean bathrooms and showers.

Nice place

Beautiful spot, though tightly packed and crowded/noisy. We stayed in spot 59 on a Saturday night. It was rainy and the fire pit area had plenty of puddles. Lots of folks came in later in the evening with multiple cars and sat out talking; plenty of them packed up and left before 8 am. We walked…

Not really a campground

This area is right next to a very busy I-5 interstate freeway. I have NEVER considered it a camping spot, more like a truck stop or something else. It is just a bare spot to park for the night at most.

Beautiful Getaway Close to Seattle

Loved Kanaskat Palmer. Stayed in spot 13 - each site seems to have a trail connecting to the outer trail that runs along the river. Big entertainment for three boys who explored the woods and played on the rocks and in the eddy pools at the public river take-out. Bathrooms are super nice - each is…
