Emerald Lake Campground

Beautiful ridgetop campground with large wooded sites and lots of room between sites. Showers were hot but minimal pressure. No hot water at the sinks. No utility sinks. Very nice small lake with a swimming beach. Everything was well maintained with friendly staff. No bugs in September.

Quiet, secluded, great view

Sites 1, 6 and 8 and the best if you're only camping with those at your site as they're the most secluded and private. Sites 2 and 3 are more open, to both each other, and to those en route to the bathrooms.

Bathrooms were very clean. Coin-op shower with hot water is 50 cents for 5 minutes, 75…

Great camping trip

What a wonderful place to feel like you are away from it all. Nice jeep trails and hiking all around. Silver lake is amazing.

Quiet remote and beautiful camping

We stared at Moosalamoo August 29 through September 2 2021 and had a wonderful stay.

The camp host Plylar greeted us as we arrived and gave us complete information about the sites, amenities, bears (not so much bears) and even which pit toilets were the least stinky.

The sites are well…

A no frills but good campground

This is definitely a no frills campground, but it was a good stay for our 4 nights.

  • Easy to access sites, pull through sites (as long as it’s not been pouring rain)

  • Buddy sites mean your neighbors waste isn’t in your camp

  • Good Verizon and T-Mobile service

  • No WIFI!…

Not well managed and caution to larger rigs in the loop

Overall, the park is OK regarding the physical attributes, minus the larger rig issue discussed below. Shower house was clean, sites are relatively spacious and you aren't too close to your neighbor, but the sewer lines were a bit close to you and your picnic table in the loop.  The campground is…

  • Located between sites 8-9, combo of a well placed tree and a relatively tight turn will make it challenging, but not impossible, for larger rigs. Taken from site 11.
  • Different angle between sites 8-9, the combo of a well placed tree and a relatively tight turn will make it challenging, but not impossible, for larger rigs. Taken from site 10.

Vermont state parks never let us down

We just finished six nights at Emerald Lake State Park.  Camping at Vermont State parks is always top notch.  We had a lean-to site and good privacy from the sites around us.  There was plenty of room for our tent and screen tent.  Everyone was respectful and quiet, even on the weekend when it was…

One of our favorites

We have now stayed twice at Ricker Pond and have loved it each time.  We chose a lean-to, which proved to be invaluable at our last stay, as we were hit with t-storms and torrential rains for a period.  The grounds and facilities are very well kept and maintained, and the staff is helpful and…

Good times

Love the park. Easy access to Quechee gorge. Nice staff. Sites are spaced out with plenty of privacy. Immaculate restrooms/showers. Relatively quiet on the weekend.

Very quiet

Only stayed one night. Very small, quiet place. Probably a great spot as a base camp for sightseeing. Tons of mosquitoes because of all the rain. Didn't use the facilities but they looked ok. Host was very nice. They have wifi but he forgot to tell us the password.

Kampersville kids

New favorite campground!

Loved our time here! We had a site right on the river and the view was amazing. The sites are pretty well spaced apart and well kept. The bathrooms were decently clean and the showers did not need quarters (which was a huge plus). Will definitely be coming here again
