    Beautiful and peaceful RV resort

It’s definitely comfortable and functional: full hook-up available! Lots of trees, right by the river and you can hear the birds chirping everywhere. It’s still an RV resort so there are RV’s everywhere. Laundry available. Wifi speed could be better. Staff is so helpful!

My wife and I stayed here for about 2 weeks place is pretty nice for an RV hookup spot full hookups water sewer 30 amp power. The management that runs the hotel side of it is extremely nice and reasonable I couldn't be happier with this place close to two gas stations the flying j and the TA.

    Great clubhouse

Really nice RV resort near Interstate. Pull throughs or back in on paved level sites. Picnic table. FHU. Sites typically close with grass area seperating. No shade or privacy. Narrow interior roads. Nice bathhouses with private shower/toilets. Wifi and cable. Great play area. Bikes available including kid sized. Paved 80 mile bike trail along Jordan River. Giant chessboard. Nice pool area. Amazing clubhouse with pool table, foosball, large TV, comfy chairs, guest kitchen area. Complimentary coffee, tea and fresh made cookies. Friendly, helpful employees!

    A nice KOA

The setup is generally the same at a lot of KOA. This well kept KOA has lots of amenities, but sites have zero privacy. Parking spots are paved. It does appear to have a few long term tenants.

    Springville / Provo KOA Holiday

    Too intimate, keep traveling!

The facilities are average, with separate rooms for showers and toilets. However, there are many long-term residents with not enough space for regular camping. Some of these long term residents have multiple cars and end up blocking you in. We really just wanted a good spot to fill up on water and possibly stay for a night or two. Later we found out across the road is a Denny’s/Flying J/Truck stop where we could fill up with water.

Pros: Washer and dryers, small pool, close to Provo Cons: Road noise, train noise, small spaces, long term neighbors.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

    Spruces - Big Cottonwood

A great camping spot within 30 minutes from salt lake!

These camp grounds have reserved sites and walk in sites. No RV hookups, but drinking water and flushing toilets. Lots of hikes you can do, with an easy family friendly one a quarter of a mile down the road. (Donut falls) it's really beautiful and serene here. There's enough space between camp sites that your neighbors aren't a bother.

    Perfect overnight stay for us

We are a 40 foot with a tow. We only stayed here over night as we were passing through. Place was clean, friendly staff, spacious sites, ours had nice grass, dog friendly. Big beautiful dog run area with a waterfall. This would be a great long term or a it’s a very easy on off expressway stop. High recommend

No called Sun Outdoors Salt Lake City

Big urban park, concrete sites, minimal grass, a lot of long term folks. WiFi was ok bathhouses we’re new and clean and should have been adequate for the size of the park but a number we’re constantly locked, I assume to minimize cleaning costs. Maintenance is now what I would expect from a top notch park.

    Ken's Lake Campground

Great BLM campground, near water, convenient base camp!

Kens Lake is a hidden gem of the Moab Valley. It's a great spot to camp and is close to town and great biking, hiking, park-touring. Kens lake is actually a reservoir...it has a gravel bottom and the shores / beaches are gravel as well. It's a nice spot to cool off during the heat of the day. Not a lot of shade, no lawns, but it does have a great hiking trail that meanders around the hillside and across a stream. Kens lake is big-rig friendly. My parents parked their toy hauler 5th wheel at a spot in the Kens Lake campground and it was a bargain compared to the RV resorts, with much more character too!

    Salt Lake City KOA

    Easy and convenient

It’s off season for being in this RV park but it was perfect for a quick stop over. The check in was quick and easy. The staff was very helpful and answered all of our questions. The facilities were clean. The hook ups worked great even in the snow. We weren’t bothered by the train noises as other reviews stated. This place was close to a lot of down town spots. The KOA has night time security and the bathrooms all have codes to get in, which is nice. Would definitely recommend.

    Older but well maintained

Located in semi industrial area. Check in was easy and fast. RV spots closed to each other with shard. Gravel, level lots barely long enough for 44 foot motorhome with tow vehicle parking on side of motorhome. Good hookups.

Safe and clean RV park in North SLC

Convenient location right off the highway with full hook ups and nice paved sites. Dog areas, playground, games, and a pool. Easy access to the Jordan River Trail for running, biking, or sunset walks. You’ll need to drive to get to restaurants, grocery stores, and ~20 min drive to downtown but overall not a bad spot to camp out for a few days.

    Beautiful camping in the mountains

You’ll love it. Campground is in a beautiful setting. You’ll love sitting around your campfire watching the deer scamper in the mountains. RV camping is a must for me and full hookups are available. The price is very reasonable and anything you could ever need is easily accessible in Tooele right outside the gate.

    Lakeside RV Campground

It' Not Lakeside... and it's Very Average

First of all, the lake isn't anywhere close to this campground. It's a half mile up the road, so don't think you're going to get lake views.

Secondly at $54 a night, I would have expected a lot more than I got. It's just your average, run of the mill campground with a lot of long term trailers, everything is gravel, except for the places where it's muddy. The sites were so close together, that I had to go back and request a different site. My slides would have been a foot from the next door neighbor.

The bathrooms were clean, but very dark and dated. Good thing I'm not overweight, or I would never have fit in the showers.

Finally, if you are an aviation fan, you'll love it. It sits at the end of the runway for Provo airport, a regional airport with plenty of jets (Yes, JETS. Think Delta, Southwest, American) that pass right overhead a mere 1000 feet up. Thunderous, trailer shaking fun!

All in all, it was tolerable for a couple night stay. Probably would not be back. If it was 30 bucks a night, it would have been more reasonable.

The Provo river trail is nearby, one shining spot in an otherwise awesomely mediocre stay.

    Lakeside RV Campground

    Quiet, fun and friendly

Stopped her for the night on our return to SLC. Family staff was pleasant and helpful.
Full hook-up site was surprisingly spacious with green space in-between and trees for shade. Facilities are clean and comfortable and camp store is well stocked. We were able to walk to Utah Lake via the state park and even found an interesting collection of old gas station signs, pumps and other road-memorabilia along the way!
Really enjoyed our brief stay! On line reservation request requires a credit card #, but return call was very quick and helpful and no charge was placed until check-in.

    Full amenities, clean, friendly

I was an off season guest at this RV park in February. I was very impressed by the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the park including the restroom and campsites, and the amenities; market, water, electricity and Wi-Fi.

This is not the campsite you go to to be alone in nature, as there are many large RVs here that appear to be home to permanent residents. That said, it is walking distance to a state park and recreational lake and there is a beautiful running/walking trail along the river directly behind the RV park. The campground also has a pool that obviously was not open during my stay. There is also a playground and pavilion for gatherings. I suspect this is a very popular campground in the summer.

I had work to do the night of my stay and the following morning and I was dazzled by the speed and reliability of the wifi.

This campground has a quirky charm and was perfect for my one night stay on my road trip across country.

Lots of trees for shade and lots of bugs.

This is a fun place to stay when you want to go someplace close. There are lots of trees for the summer months and lots of shade. There are a couple good beaches. This is Utah's biggest fresh water lake. There are lots, and lot of bug so bring bug spray.

Awesome mountain views. Good fishing in the Provo river or lake fishing. You can build a fire and get firewood from camp host. There is full hook ups and also spots for a tent. Most spots have a pavilion and nice tables. Great bathrooms with running water. I can't remember which spot we stayed at but they are were really nice.

    Canyon View RV Park

    $25 a night!

Canyon View RV Park is a long parking lot with 15-20 water and electric hookups and dump station. The sites (back in) are on one side, car (tows) are parked on the other. Most of them have a grassy area behind the RV. A short walk behind the campground and down a treed path is a park. The fee is $25 per night, paid thru a self check in (pictured).

All in all, I thought pricing was a little steep. It’s an option for the area but wouldn’t be my first option.

Good stop that is city adjacent

PROS: Easy to get to... Room for RV's (set up like an RV park with clover leaf parking on pads) Bathrooms Picnic tables Close to reservoir

    Pretty view

Make sure to follow the instructions to get to the RV park or else you'll end up driving your rig through a tiny parking lot to turn around. The golf course and mountain range is very nice. However, the spots are not level, and the water pressure is high. Make sure you have a water regulator. There aren't any showers or restrooms for the campers.

Great Salt Lake State Park Campground

    Decent spot off the highway

This is a pretty cool spot right next to the Great Salt Lake making for some nice views (sunset and sunrise were killer). The water was a little low and it made for kind of a stinky campsite. Just be aware that can be a possibility. There were only two primitive campsites with most of the other activity being rv parking. All in all, decent spot for a cross country trip, but maybe not a destination.

RV Park and Campground $25 per site

RV Park and campground with playground, small pool, gift shop, laundry room,  showers, restrooms, some fire pits, some picnic tables, animals allowed. Camp roads are gravel, lots are small for tents. Each lot is about the size of a single car garage. We could put up two 4 man tents on each  lot. Close to town, but the location of the camp is behind the Temple Hill so you are secluded from the road. Friendly staff. Tightly packed, you can hear a crying baby throught the entire campground.
