Turkey Sink Camping Area — Guadalupe River State Park

Great spot to soak up the Texas Hill Country

This park is located just north of San Antonio. I’d heard great things about it and am thrilled that I finally got here.

The campsites are spacious. Each loop has a bath house and it looks like all the RV sites have power and water. A central dump station is located near the exit.

This loop has a trail that leads you down to the river. But you ca also drive down to a large parking lot. It wasn’t busy in Feb

    Landa RV Park & Campground

    Great Weekend Getaway

A quaint RV resort right off of Walnut street near the heart of New Braunfels, TX with lots of amenities on-site. The pool is open year-round & heated to 90 degrees in the winter time. We are new to RV living & this was a perfect place to try out our new travel trailer. I think site 19 was a great place to be, because nobody was on one side of us & it was right across from the pool & camp store. We will definitely return to this resort in the summertime.

    San Antonio Alamo KOA

    Everything you need!

This place is amazing! We are only a 10 minute drive from the Riverwalk and the Alamo. About a 15 to 20 minute drive from the missions. Roads are paved lots have nice room! Some lots have a concrete patio that has picnic table swing grill and fire pit. There’s lots to do for families. Nice spacious playground for kids a swimming pool a fishing pond activities in the hole. Which tonight they’re having a Super Bowl party at. There is a small café, a dog park and many other activities like bike rentals. This place has a lot of things to offer in. This will definitely be a place we return!

    San Marcos River Resort

    Very chill spot

We stayed here for 2 months during the holiday season and we really enjoyed our stay here! Hot tubs great, large dog park, love the old school play ground our spot was right on the river. Every single one of the staff members have been so nice and kind. We've become friends with a few and have to say we will miss this place when we hit the road again. (That's how u know its a good campsite haha) They do quite a few activities at the club house to bring community together, would definitely recommend this lovely campground

The Old El Camino Motorcourt & RV Resort

    Nice Campground

    Very clean and great staff.

My complaints, 1. Road noise, 2. Lack of planned activities to engage the community, 3. Pool isn’t heated, and 4. Fitness room is mediocre but ok.

With that, I would still stay again, just shorter span.

    Lackland AFB FamCamp

    Not public access

The Growdon Gate was closed, so could not enter that way. GPS took me to the Military Dr. Gate in attempt to get to the coordinates. The officer at the gate made it clear the campground is only for people with military ID or veteran status.

    Palmetto State Park Campground

Great for a quick night out

We scheduled a single-night trip in late November to work the bugs out a new camping trailer. We stayed in campsite 24 which backs up to the little lake. It has running water but not electricity.

They had just finished renovating the showers on this side of the park. Instead of a shared bathroom each for men and women there are two "family" bathrooms with door locks. It's nicer overall, but you end up waiting more than you used to.

Like nearly all the state parks, this one is well-maintained. The camp host was quick to stop by and introduce himself as we were setting up camp.

Even in November the county in which Palmetto SP in was still under a burn ban. We were allowed to use a propane fire pit though.

For history buffs, this park is one of the CCC-built parks in Texas.

All the trails are relatively flat. Other campers were nice. You're 10 minutes away from a Buccee's.
