It was an ok state park. I guess i'm not really a lake person.. Not that I don't enjoy fishing. I just rather much salt water fish. I wasn't impressed with my camping spot. One tree for shade, no pavilion,. The picnic table pad concrete was broke and possed a tripping hazzard. The pad where you park, your camper, should be redone. Pretty much all the camping spots are the same. I've been to some state parks that are excellent. And then I've been to some that are like this mediocre. The plus things for it is. I have T-Mobile cell service. I have 5G network here. I was able to make and receive calls to my wife as well as text messaging. The television signal was excellent. You can either aim towards Kileen, Texas, or Austin, Texas, and get a few channels. The lake is a big playground for kids. There are volleyball court shocker games on the back porch of the store. Longhorn caverns, which is another state park, is just down the road 12 miles. I'm also including pictures of Longhorn cavern. You can't camp there, but it's right down the road. They have a picnic area there. It's expensive to see the caverns. $25 for an adult.
