Myrtle Beach state park

We love camping here, its clean, quiet except for days and weekends people coming in for birthday parties, reunions but its really not bad they don't come into the actual rv, tent, camping area..we've been there 3 times now and its our go to quick vacation spot..we did however make reservations…

Usually Crowded- dont go during bike rally!

Nice park with good bald eagle viewing. Some seasons there will be drum circles under the full moon. It is usually very packed and noisy. A lot of day use traffic will travel into the camping area, keep stuff locked up. You can easily vet into town due to the close proximity but the short trip can…

nice park, crowded but close to beach

I really liked the park. it was clean and bathrooms were clean.

campground is close to beach, which is the big draw. there are a lot of activities in the area that makes the park attractive to visit.

on the downside it is crowded and the sites are close together.

there were no issues…

Crowded but great location

We had a tent site here for the weekend and were overrun with our neighbors children. No one was governing the curfews or the maximum allowed per campsite. There was literally a family of almost 50 people in two tent sites next to us. And they were there with the people on the other side of us.…

Perfect family vacation

Short-stay is a beautiful camp right on Lake Moultrie a short distance from Charleston, SC. They have descent wifi and an pretty well stocked camp store, but the main attraction is huge Lake Moultrie. Great for fishing, swimming, camping, RV, and much more. There is a swimming beach and the camp…

Sweet & Sour Camping Adventure in Myrtle Beach State Park

Every camping adventure has a mix of upsides and downsides and I would describe my experience here at Myrtle Beach State Park as being a case of these two extremities.

On the one hand, for camping purists who are looking to truly 'get away from it all' and find a nice stretch of hidden oasis…

Had a great time at hideaway

Hideaway is a good small camp ground. We stayed there for a month will I worked out of town. They have a small beach front that leads into the river. They also have a few socks to go sit at and enjoy the water. The pool is nice and they have a decent playground. They also have activities going on,…

Always A Good Time

We have been camping at this SP for several years now and we always enjoy it.

Access to the beach, camp store, and grocery all within a short golf cart ride. It’s also convenient to all local attractions. Many dislike being next door to the airport but we enjoy watching the planes and our 1 year…

Horrible staff

The staff (manager Kim) thinks she owned the place. She makes up rules when she pleases. Doesn’t allow dog fences because she doesn’t want to deal with them if a storm comes. This is a military owned campground, but she runs it like it’s hers. I won’t stay there again because Kim is not a nice…
