    Wanderlust Crossings RV Park

    Absolutely stunning

We picked this place because of its convenience to route 40 and what a suprise. The grounds are stunning! Each space had cement slabs that are level which made our night stop so easy. The grass is thick and meticulously cared for. The dog park even has lush grass! We had an amazing stay.

    Big Bend Park

    Very Nice

On the west side of the lake. The campground is open to the public and considered private. Gated with well-maintained roads, old-growth trees, landscaping, ample sized back-in sites with asphalt, covered picnic tables with prep area, and grills. Some tent sites with water. Each r.v. site has a spigot and shore power. Some are 50 amp and others are 30 all with 15. Each site has a view of the lake. Playground and public toilets. Boat ramp. Convenience store at corner. Very nice, we will be back.

    Classic

Large, well-kept campground. A and B sections. We stayed in A section which is newer due to tornado damage. Cement pads, covered picnic tables, drive-thru, and back-up sites. 50, 30, 15 amp shore power, water spigot. Dumpsters are easy to get to, dump station on site. Playground. Bathrooms with showers. Boat ramp.

    Lake El Reno RV Park

    Easy - off season

We arrived after dark and left early. It was super easy to pay at the drop box at the office on the west lot.

We didn’t get to see much but needed electric overnight, so we took a chance in finding a spot and there were many during our off-season visit. We parked in the E/W spots, east lot 1-20. There were 6 other RV’s.

This was my best nights sleep for days. Highway noise could be heard outside but didn’t bother us overnight.

Roman Nose State Park — Roman Nose State Resort Park

    Invisible wonderland

The map said it was there, but we couldn't see it. That's because it's in a canyon. Gorgeous valley with abundant forest with R.V. and tent spaces and cabins to rent. Fishing, hiking, paddleboard, and a pool. The lake isn't for swimming, just fishing. Restaurant lakeside. There is a lodge, but I haven't been there. Many brooks and small waterfalls along the trails. Go, you'll love it.

    Big Bend Park

    Free in the winter

A wonderful campground that is free in the winter with no amenities available at that time. I spent about a week here at the beginning of February and didn't see anyone else the entire time. Very safe and love the covered picnic tables. Highly recommended
