Very Nice

On the west side of the lake. The campground is open to the public and considered private. Gated with well-maintained roads, old-growth trees, landscaping, ample sized back-in sites with asphalt, covered picnic tables with prep area, and grills. Some tent sites with water. Each r.v. site has a spigot and shore power. Some are 50 amp and others are 30 all with 15. Each site has a view of the lake. Playground and public toilets. Boat ramp. Convenience store at corner. Very nice, we will be back.

Free in the winter

A wonderful campground that is free in the winter with no amenities available at that time. I spent about a week here at the beginning of February and didn't see anyone else the entire time. Very safe and love the covered picnic tables. Highly recommended

Big Bend A

We really enjoyed this campsite. Lots of trees and grass. Since sites are on different levels, most everyone has a good view of the lake. Sites are not too close and are at an angle, which makes it more private.

Great campground overlooking the lake

Big Bend is a really nice campground with most sites on or overlooking the water. We were in site A10 which was a nice site overlooking the lake with shade in evening, but sunny most of the day. Most of the sites, except a few on the water, seemed to have shade during part of the day. The picnic tables were all covered. We didn't use the bathhouse because it was so far from our site. The large lake looks like a great place for boating activities. The park has a very nice, challenging disc golf course beside the campground. We were here on a Saturday night in mid- August and the campground was only partially full.

The campsite was right on the lake, with a nice evening breeze and trees to shade from the sun. Camp host is helpful and the site clean.

Great lakeside sites

This is a Army Corps Engineer campground. Well maintained. Great sites. Some lakeside. Many have tons of shade. Site spacing is good. Check in process was a bit annoying. Made reservations and paid online then had to wait in a long line at gate shack for them to hand you paperwork. Old guy on golf cart is not very friendly. Some of the best Walleye and Striper fishing around. Overall a great park
