Full Hook ups, Groomed Spots, Pull Through

Was a little surprised that when we pulled in the sign said RV campground and mobile home park, but the two are in separate parts so it wasn't weird.

Very friendly front office. The host saw us pull after hours and came and met us to help out.

Perfect overnight stop for a quick on and…

Great site off the beaten path

This site was very scenic and secluded, with trees between the sites making them much more private. Great hiking nearby, and only a couple other people there on a weekend in June. Great option if other sites are booked. $10 cash.

Scoria Pit Boondocking for the Win

This is a terrific spot for any size rig. Ample room to turn around and well-maintained gravel roads to get to the site. It can be extremely windy though, so beware (60 mph gusts when we visited).

Mesa views on Little Mo at Medora

A perfect campground for equestrian campers or those visiting Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Just 3-4 miles from Medora ND and park entrance. Open views, good trails, great birding. The sites have electric, accessible water and dump site. Showers snd vault toilets kept very clean.

Stayed 1 night

Place had everything I needed, including a shower. Website states they are coin showers but mine was free so unsure if they just updated to free showers. Primitive sites are $17/night but you also have to pay the $7 state park fee. All sites had a fire ring and picnic table and had distance between…

Lovely Campground With a View

Really great campground! Easy to find and navigate. Sites with fire pit, picnic tables, and bathrooms.

Cool, clean & convenient

Campgrounds in Teddy were closed due to Covid so had to find an alternative. This did the trick nicely. Much of the campground seems geared toward the horse crowd, but the small non horse tent loop was nicely set in a wooded area by a creek. Neat views of the bluffs all around.

Good campground

Primitive campsites were secluded and surrounded by the trees. The trees were needed as there was a ton of wind that day. We were close to some of the horse corrals which was an added bonus as we don’t typically see that sort of things. Clean toilet/shower facilities.

Beautiful Views with great access to TRNP and Medora.

We arrived just after a rain. That made things a little messy to get in. There is a large mud pit on one side of the road and tire ruts on the other. Once you get past that, you're pretty golden. There is a loop you can pull into on the left. But, you won't get the views there. We're in a class c…

Scenic and Quiet

We camped here for two nights, the first night was tricky for us to gage exactly where to camp because it we arrived at 3am. We ended up sleeping just outside of the site (haha so close!), but we found it in the morning! A lot of people hike/bike in from the Maah Daah Hey Trial what we initially…

Quiet stay

Campground is huge but feels quite cozy and friendly. Helpful office staff and they take you to your site. Close to everything in town and only 30 minutes from Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Full hookups. Level sites. Laundry and bathhouse were clean and convenient. Would stay again.

Great campground, sites are spaced apart

Great campsites.  Stayed in the non-electric sites (Cedar Campground) that are among the trees.  Secluded, well spaced apart from other sites.  Perfect view of the mountains.    Note-Electric sites (Whitetail Flats) are all out in a large open field.   Also, the back group of sites were all…

Worth the drive for the peace

The campsite is a good 25 min off the highway on a dirt road so don't plan to go back-forth a lot. But it's worth it for the peace and surrounding beauty. That's what you came for right?

We stayed Sat-Mon in late June and it wasn't crowded at all. I think the most we saw were two other camp…

Clean, nice views

Perfect for the horse enthusiast, with corrals available for every site. It was full the day I got there, but stayed for breakfast before the check ins started (I asked first). Right on the MDH Trail, for us MTB peeps.
