Full Hook ups, Groomed Spots, Pull Through

Was a little surprised that when we pulled in the sign said RV campground and mobile home park, but the two are in separate parts so it wasn't weird.

Very friendly front office. The host saw us pull after hours and came and met us to help out.

Perfect overnight stop for a quick on and…

Great site off the beaten path

This site was very scenic and secluded, with trees between the sites making them much more private. Great hiking nearby, and only a couple other people there on a weekend in June. Great option if other sites are booked. $10 cash.

Nice campground, small sites

We enjoyed Medora Campground! The sites were quite small but we spent the majority of our time in town, in the National park, or at the musical. There was construction, to expand the campground, while we were there so that was loud and noisy. Bathrooms and showers were clean.

Riverfront camping with Bison

Beautiful spot on Little Missouri River. Medora is cool little town and Maah Daah Hey trail is epic single track for bikes. Unfortunately no off-road biking in National Park so use Sully Creek State Park trailhead. Bison regularly pass through campground on way to river.

Scoria Pit Boondocking for the Win

This is a terrific spot for any size rig. Ample room to turn around and well-maintained gravel roads to get to the site. It can be extremely windy though, so beware (60 mph gusts when we visited).

Mesa views on Little Mo at Medora

A perfect campground for equestrian campers or those visiting Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Just 3-4 miles from Medora ND and park entrance. Open views, good trails, great birding. The sites have electric, accessible water and dump site. Showers snd vault toilets kept very clean.

Where the buffalo roam

Camped late April for 5 days, so it was offseason one pit toilet open one water spigot open in the campground.  There are two loops, the south look which is tenting and smaller sized trailer sites but it was not yet open while we were there,  The North Loop is mainly pull through sites and can…

Stayed 1 night

Place had everything I needed, including a shower. Website states they are coin showers but mine was free so unsure if they just updated to free showers. Primitive sites are $17/night but you also have to pay the $7 state park fee. All sites had a fire ring and picnic table and had distance between…

Cool, clean & convenient

Campgrounds in Teddy were closed due to Covid so had to find an alternative. This did the trick nicely. Much of the campground seems geared toward the horse crowd, but the small non horse tent loop was nicely set in a wooded area by a creek. Neat views of the bluffs all around.

We pulled in at 830 pm and immediately noticed the few campers that were parked had no lights on. We could barely see where our spot was as There was no check in, you just go right to your spot. I typically like to check in and meet the people who run it to get a good layout and understand the…

Good park

Great location right outside the park. Utilities all worked well. Beautiful walk down to the Little Missouri River. Train tracks nearby but they're not allowed to blow their horn through town, so all you hear is the low rumble as they go by, no big deal. Cons: sites are very close together, but…
