    SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Campgrounds in the Dale, New York area range from state parks to privately-owned facilities offering multiple accommodation types. Letchworth State Park Campground and Darien Lakes State Park provide established camping environments with amenities for tent, RV, and cabin campers. The region includes several family-oriented properties such as Cherry Hill Campground and Six Flags Darien Lake Campground, both located in Darien Center, approximately 15 miles from Dale. These mixed-use campgrounds accommodate various camping styles with Cherry Hill focusing on tent camping while Darien Lake offers more developed facilities with full hookups.

Operating seasons typically run from May through October across most developed campgrounds in the region, with facilities generally closing during winter months. Many campgrounds require advance reservations, particularly during summer weekends and holiday periods. "We rented a trailer with slide outs for a few days in the middle of the week for a birthday party for our friend's daughter and it was perfect! The trailer was close to the entrance to the park and was clean and hooked up when we got there," noted one visitor about Darien Lake. Road access remains good throughout the camping season, with most facilities accessible via standard vehicles. Cell service is generally reliable throughout the area, though coverage may vary at more remote camping areas within state parks.

The campground provides shuttle service for concert events, making it popular for entertainment-focused camping trips. Campers report varying levels of privacy between campgrounds, with Cherry Hill receiving positive feedback for site separation. One camper shared that "Many sites are separated by hedges, are drive-in sites yet still close to water, restrooms, and shower." Wildlife viewing opportunities exist at several camping areas, with Cherry Hill specifically mentioned for having wildlife feeders that support bird watching. Family-friendly amenities appear consistently across most developed campgrounds, though bathroom cleanliness and site leveling quality received mixed reviews from campers staying at different properties throughout the region.

      Sugar Creek Glen Campground

      Site 71

This was our fourth trip to SCG and it’s always a blast. The water makes this campground such a great visit with kids.

Ankle deep water to play in all day and the waterfall hikes are great.

Restrooms are always very clean and the shower house was good too.

Owners and the general store are great.

      Skyline RV Resort

      Enjoyable location

I was to Skyline in May 2026 - Opening weekend. My site was on Pine, easy in and easy out. You are in a mix of seasonals and weekenders. First off, the check in was easy and quick, the woman at the desk was friendly and upbeat. I arrived to a campsite that was clean, very clean. The lot was grass and had a slight slop to it, the trailer spot was all gravel and level. it rained one day hard real hard and there was no real standing water. There are old trees on the sites all are trimmed up and clear of dead branches. You could get a 13'6" trailer in without worrying about branches. The facilities were in clean and in working order. There was a free chili dinner on Saturday night at the rec hall. They had the hockey playoffs on a big screen and a band also. You are out in the country at this spot, Alden is not too far up the road, you have most stores there for items needed.  Nice place!

      HTR Niagara Campground

      Family friendly!

Plenty of activities to keep yourself busy with. They had mini golf, zip lining, a nice playground, a pool and hot tub. About a 15 min drive to Niagra Falls!

      Lakeside State Park Campground

      Good camp ground

Stayed here for 3 nights. Loop G has basically no tree coverage, so if we come back again, we’re doing a different loop! Nothing to complain about. Clean bathrooms. Camp store has strange hours and has few things in it.

      Shamrock Pines Campground

      Established and welcoming!

These people know what they are doing. We loved that the campground had its own music at the pool instead of dealing with everyone's individual speakers. The bathrooms were very clean and obviously cleaned every morning. The campground is huge and has great places for bikes or electric golf carts! They had great music and the other campers were very nice and respectful people. We stayed here as home base to visit Ellicotville and an Alpaca farm. Both were very close to the camp. I would love to visit again in the fall.

      Hamlin Beach State Park Campground

      Beautiful Park and campground

Our family camps here all the time. This year, we saw so much work put into the park. The camp store is open again, and the park has a working concession stand, too! They put in new benches and gardens and added beautiful walking paths by the water! There was a wonderful fireworks show over the water as well. Such a great campground and park!!
