"Close to Springfield right off the highway, real close to where we needed. Has everything you could possibly need in a camp grounds."
"Nice park that's close to 1-44, James River Parkway, and unfortunately a railroad crossing. So you will hear a train horn on occasion, but no highway noise. We will come back here and stay again."
"What a wonderful gem just outside of Springfield Missouri. Clean bathrooms, friendly staff, close to lots of attractions in the area."
"The staff was super friendly, and accommodating and when I arrived at around 7pm they were available to show me to my spot, and offered to help me get set up."
$12 - $25 / night
"Our spot had electricity and was all by itself tucked in the back corner which was perfect! We were a cpl min away from the River which made for a beautiful walk!"
"The RV sites are a little small and close to each other, and you can tell some people are long time campers."
"It is right near a few shopping centers but in the back of a trailer park and very quiet. They had good internet access for free."
"Basically just a parking lot behind Lambert's Cafe, but with full hookups for $30. Self serve station for registering makes it easy. Relatively quiet considering it's location."
"Affordable and right on edge of town"
"Busiek isn't to far of the beaten path. It has several trails and camping sites. There is plenty of wildlife available for viewing."
"Absolutely beautiful hiking trails and amazing off grid camping for family. Just make sure to bring the bug spray and tikis bc there are tons of bugs."
$12 - $42 / night
"The campsite was large with an asphalt path and a nice spot for my tent. First weekend in May and the park was pretty much full. My campsite close to the facilities."
"Nice campground with a paved walking/cycling trail from boat docks to the dam. Nice showers, fairly level campsites. Fishing within walking distance."
$15 - $75 / night
"The trails are also maintained. I would not recommend hiking on these trails as ATVs and Bikes go fast on the trails and unless a hiker can hear the off roader coming they may get hurt."
"It is an off-roading park so be aware of the noise."
$7 - $48 / night
"Brendan and Teresa are an adotable young couple who are transforming a large area in the midst of Missouri farm country into a small black- and blueberry farm that includes a small RV camp."
"We rolled in late, close to midnight, and Teresa and Brandon were very accommodating. Set us up with an excellent campsite at the edge of the blueberries."
After reviewing the camp map, I found C1 shown as a pull thru site available for the week we would be staying. Easy peasy. Until 2 days before we are set to show up, I get an email and we have been moved to a back in site. When ask I was told pull thru sites are for are monthly renters. So why did your reservation system allow me to rent for a week? Then they tell me C1 isn't a pull thru site after all, although the map outside the store shows it as pull thru, great then I shouldn't have been moved give me C1. It is already filled. So a site I reserved was given to someone else and I never got an honest answer as to why. During the conversation the staff was rude and condescending. The camp store is not stocked well. The sites are close together and not level at all. The bath house smelled moldy. The worst campground we have ever stayed out.
We were pulling our camper on our way to Nebraska and needed somewhere to stay the night. Tried booking online but were unsuccessful. Called, got a spot. Upon setting up, went to the shower house for a shower (they DO NOT provide linens as another review stated) Shower house was newly remodeled although the water pressure wasn’t all that good. Grounds were nice and well manicured.
Loved the location as we had tickets to the clay cooper theatre and could actually walk to the show each night! The sites were gravel and mostly level. Some sites had shade and each had a picnic table. There was a couple of fenced dog areas. One was in full sun most of the day and was small, but a nice area to allow them off lead to smell and do business. Lots of poop bag stations all over the park. The park was a little difficult to just walk as it has some steep hills. But my dog and I decided to take early morning strolls on the Main Street since we were so close. At 6:30 am there was very little traffic and the weather was nice for a good walk. We loved it. The bath house was clean although small. The pool was very nice and never crowded. The laundry facility was very clean and had several machines. $1.25 to wash and $2 to dry. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful in the office. We plan to be back to Branson and this is our go to campground now!
Pretty great spot! If you’re fortunate enough to be alone, this is a very large space, with a nice picnic table and a few fire pits. Completely surrounded by forest, so plenty of shade. Access road was a little rough, as in your typical dirt road, but posed 0 problems for our little economy car. I’ve had much worse for sure. The area is pretty secluded, with only a few cars driving through all day, so bear spray is absolutely necessary for peace of mind. Practice good bear prevention measures and you’re good to go for a free night stay, or several, happy camping!
This place was awesome. The camp sites are spread out so there's plenty of room. We stayed in the quaint little bunkhouse with an air conditioner and all the amenities that we needed- a little frig, toaster oven, microwave, sink, coffee maker with pods, storage the we could use for our things we brought and the bunk beds that held 5 of us. The owners are great people who take pride in their property. Very attentive and ready to help provide anything we needed. There is so much to do and for all ages. Great family fun activities and very nice layout plus she even brought us freshly baked cookies that I believe to be the best chocolate chip cookie I think I've ever had! I highly recommend this place and I hope to stay there again some day.
If you are looking for a family friendly campground, you would be better served taking your business elsewhere. Tall Pines employees and campers alike are allowed to speed through the park, nearly running people over in the process, but will complain about your children in a heartbeat for playing outside at all. Despite the posted 5mph signs throughout the park, as well as signs we ourselves have provided, they do nothing to ensure safety; no one is at the park to run the office, or provide essential or necessary maintenance. They only come to the park when there is a complaint about children, or the cops have been called. Laura, who lives and works on the grounds, drives through the campground in her black Nissan Titan like she is a Nascar driver, and has almost hit kids and adults doing so. No one tells her to slow down, just to keep the kids out of the way or leave the park if you can't keep the kids under control. As far as pricing goes, Christina will offer a fair price to start, then recant on her decision despite proof of receipt, or how far in advance you pay on said quoted price. While the campground itself is a beautiful place to be, the owners are very lazy. They put more effort into their(Best Western) hotel, where you're more likely to find the staff working and avoiding campground calls, than you are to get anyone's attention inside the office, or to actually run the park. We were treated very poorly by the staff during our short stay here, despite our best efforts to try to work with them to make this a safe place for all. They were unwilling to take any sort of accountability, or give any corrective action to those who were more willing to remain uncooperative. Do not plan on making this a full time home for you and your family. It will only come down to Christina being at your residence for unjustified complaints that they can't prove one way or the other who is at fault
Campground is in fantastic condition. CLEAN bath/shower house. Amazing creek access for kids to swim (knee deep at most). 10 minutes from Branson.
Feels like you’re in the country while being very close to the hustle and bustle of Branson and SDC.
One of the best KOA’s I’ve stayed! They even delivered pizza right to our site. Super easy check in and the most gracious hosts. If you have to stop in Springfield, MO - stay here.
Great stay over the weekend. Debbie and Mike where so hospitable. We booked our return stay before we left.
