    SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Several RV parks surround Linn Creek, Missouri, offering full hookups, lakeside access, and big-rig-friendly sites for motorhome travelers exploring the Lake of the Ozarks region. Osage Beach RV Park provides full hookups with both 30 and 50 amp service, operating seasonally from March 27 to November 1. The park features level concrete pads suitable for larger rigs. Nearby, Majestic Oaks RV Park & Campground offers 80 sites with year-round availability and complete hookups for big rigs. Coconuts RV Resort stands out with 208 sites equipped with water, sewer, and electrical connections. Scallywag's RV Park includes boat-in access options alongside traditional RV sites with full hookups. "We were really packed in here but they had so many amenities it was crazy. Cable, WiFi, pool, etc. Close to the Lake of the Ozark hot spots made it very convenient," noted one visitor about Majestic Oaks.

Summer months bring heavy traffic to Lake of the Ozarks RV campgrounds, making advance reservations essential, particularly for weekend stays. Most parks in the area maintain clean shower facilities and dump stations, though availability varies by location. Cell service is generally reliable throughout the region, with most travelers reporting 3-4 bars on major carriers. Pet-friendly policies are standard across most RV parks, though some impose breed or size restrictions. Propane refill services can be found at select locations including Osage Beach RV Park. Lake Ozark RV Park & Campground operates from March through October with a camp store selling essential supplies. Cross Creek RV Park in nearby Eldon lacks an on-site dump station but compensates with full hookup sites that eliminate this need for most RVers.

Lake of the Ozarks State Park Campground

Pretty camping area, lake was filthy and smelly

This was a pretty campsite with lots of trees and simple deer trails throughout. Sites are well spread out. The lake itself was filthy and smelly. Lots of trash and rotting fish on the shorelines. The campground website said they had WiFi throughout the campsite, however it was only available at the front office. No cell service. We had planned to stay for a week to school and work remotely, but had to cut our time here short because of no connectivity. If we hadn’t had the need for WiFi, this would have been a fine campground to stay at, as it is centrally located to many sightseeing locations.

Sties were level, kid and pet friendly, quiet campground, 30/50 amp electricity, no water hookups, firewood avail for fire pits, also had nice picnic tables. Inexpensive.

      Damsite

      Good fishing and great views

Very peaceful campground. It has a peninsula with some nice, shady sites but also another very wooded area on a bluff. The backside of the peninsula has zero shade (sites 26-40). All sites have good picnic tables and fire rings. Sites near the dump station can be very aromatic. No swim beach but you can access the water straight from the rocky shore. A lot of people tie their boats to shore below their campsite. There is a gas station/trading post right outside the entrance. And a tasty little restaurant with all kinds of sandwiches and ice cream treats. Beautiful sunrises and the sun sets over the dam. I really like this campground. Family friendly and everyone seems to have a dog:) but people do a good job of picking up after them.

      Osage Campground Retreat

      Full hookups but sketchy

Clean grounds, close to a conservation boat ramp and again full hookups. That’s about where it ends.

Most sites appear to be year-round Occupied. Fifth wheels with buried to sewer lines And people riding their lawn mowers outside their campers.

All things being equal it seems like more of a trailer park with a few camping vacancies.

      Turkey Creek RV Park

      Nice Campground! Nice and Quiet!

Turkey Creek was a very nice campground for our month long stay.  The park is well maintained and clean.  It is very quiet!  There is a train track nearby, but we only heard it a few times during our stay.

Amenities included full hook up, laundry room, bathrooms, showers and a fenced dog park where you 4 legged friends can enjoy some off-leash time.  We had 4 bars with AT&T and waffled between 1-3 bars with Verizon.

The location is great for visiting local attractions such as Branson Landing, Silver Dollar City and Top of the Rock.

Really appreciate the park manager, she was friendly and brought an overpayment to our attention and quickly issued a refund.

      Great experience overall!

Doolittle Acres RV Park and Campground

      Nice area

Good area only a mile off the highway so it made a great night stopping point. Had great access for our starlink. They have a little dog park, kids park, and it was all clean and well maintained. Easy access and some nice pull through spots. Water, sewer, and electric hook ups. Fire pit and picnic table at site. Since it’s close the highway it was a little loud with traffic. 57$ a night for premium spots, 42$ a night for non premium

      Paddy Creek Recreation Area

      Backwoods Tent Camping

This is a USFS campground that is perfect if you want a secluded spot to disconnect for awhile. No water, electricity, or cell service, but the views are amazing and Paddy Creek is beautiful. Campground requires a six mile drive on somewhat rough gravel roads and and a paved creek crossing if you are are coming from the Licking, MO side of the forest.

There are about two dozen campsites, each with a narrow and short concrete pad to back a vehicle into. A small popup camper or travel trailer may fit, but anything medium or larger is not going to work. All sites have good shade from tall trees and include a picnic table and fire ring. The single vault toilet was clean and stocked.

Cost is $15 a night and is paid for in the iron ranger nearby. The campground appears to close in late fall and open again in the spring at different dates each year, so be sure to check the USFS website before planning a trip.

      Laurie RV Park

      Nothing fancy

We stayed here for 3 weeks, full hookups, all large pull through sites, (don’t stay in site 16)… (see photo) clubhouse and shower house is kinda nasty but we don’t need it, 6-8 trailers live there year round, no staff on site, WiFi was sketchy but if you are just looking for a place to stay and explore the Ozarks it works.

    Guide to Linn Creek

RV parks near Linn Creek, Missouri position travelers within minutes of Lake of the Ozarks, with most campgrounds concentrated along the shoreline at elevations between 600-700 feet. The region experiences humid summers with temperatures regularly exceeding 90°F from June through August, when campgrounds operate at peak capacity. While lakeside campgrounds remain popular for boating access, several inland options provide quieter alternatives with shuttle services to water recreation.

    What to do

Fishing on private lakes: Cross Creek RV Park features an 8-acre stocked lake with boat rentals for exclusive fishing. "We tent camped on the island for 2 nights. It was awesome, you can fish right off the bank of your own private island within minutes of waking up," notes Barrett C., who appreciated the island's restroom facilities for families with young children.

Water recreation access: Riveria Villas & RV Resort offers direct lake visibility from multiple campsites and pool areas. "The pool area sits on top of a bluff overlooking the lake. It's absolutely beautiful. The pool area also has a very nice cabana, firepit, and bathrooms," reports TJ G., who found the lakeside views impressive.

Miniature golf and family activities: Several campgrounds maintain on-site recreation. "Kids love the mini golf, shuffleboard, and basketball. Huge private lake great for fishing and watching duck families swim by and come up to you on the grass!" explains Keidra P. about Cross Creek RV Park, which occupies 70 acres with multiple activity options.

    What campers like

Clean facilities: Many campers highlight well-maintained amenities. "The restrooms and showers were very clean and well kept. The staff was always very friendly and welcoming. They guided us to our spot, helped us back in, delivered firewood and ice right to our site," writes David E. about Osage Beach RV Park.

Helpful staff: Service quality stands out at multiple locations. "We pulled in and right away we were greeted with huge smiles and lead to a requested propane fill and our site! While we were getting set up they brought the ice and wood we requested, again with a smile!" shares Sadie H. about Majestic Oaks RV Park & Campground.

Strategic location: Proximity to attractions proves valuable. "This was a very nice, clean campground in the city of Osage Beach. We needed a campsite to be able to work and school remotely from and this fit the bill with excellent WiFi that had boosters all throughout the campground," explains Melissa H., who appreciated Osage Beach RV Park's central location for working remotely.

    What you should know

Connection quality varies: Most campgrounds offer WiFi, but reliability differs. "WiFi is spotty, but my site was at the back of the campground," notes TJ G. about Lake Ozarks RV Resort, while adding that the property was still under construction during summer 2023.

Site spacing considerations: Some campgrounds position RVs closer than others. "The reason I took a star off was that the sites were closer together than I like," Shannon G. mentions about Osage Beach RV Park, though the abundance of amenities compensated for tighter spacing.

Seasonal operation: Most Lake of the Ozarks campgrounds operate from March/April through October/November, with Cross Creek RV Park running April 15 to November 1 and Osage Beach RV Park from March 27 to November 1. Majestic Oaks remains open year-round for off-season camping needs.

    Tips for camping with families

Secure island camping: For families seeking unique experiences, Cross Creek offers island tent camping. "Not as secluded as the other survivor tent site but really fantastic place. Had a restroom on the island, big plus for a family with 5 little ones," explains Barrett C.

Safety considerations: Some campgrounds have limited lighting and supervision. "Only issue was the kids being allowed on golf carts all day and late into the night flying all over both directions. Kids on bikes all night with no lights on bikes or grounds. It's a free for all," warns Fred R. about Coconuts RV Resort.

Family-friendly programming: Several RV parks organize seasonal activities. "The events around halloween are always so fun for kids and adults alike. They truly put so much work into making it the best experience for their guests," mentions Hattie about Majestic Oaks RV Park & Campground.

    Tips from RVers

Boat access options: Some campgrounds offer direct water access for boat owners. "Campsites are available with access to a covered or uncovered boat slip that is about a 5 min walk down hill. There's a waterside restaurant called Captain Ron's at the bottom of the hill (same 5 min walk) that is family friendly," reports david about Scallywag's RV Park.

Full hookups standard: Most Lake of the Ozarks RV parks provide complete utility connections. "Nice, full hookup gravel sites close to everything on the east side of Lake of the Ozarks," notes Ryan P. about Osage Beach RV Park.

Access challenges: The region's terrain affects campground approaches. "Access to camping ground was little difficult. It was gravel road but it was very steep hill (very common in this area)," explains Martin J. about Cross Creek RV Park, reflecting the hilly terrain around many Lake of the Ozarks campgrounds.
