Best Campgrounds near Woodville, MS

The entry road is not really suited to most RVs The electric box has a wasp nest The concrete slab was partially covered in mud The picnic table area was covered in fire ants everywhere plus a huge ant hill Laundry is out of service The campground has no lawn care and you are basically camping in a mud jungle Mosquitoes were thick Leaves were deep There were two other campers 1 van, 1 motorcycle No on-site rangers or staff We never unhooked and left We will attempt to get our money back

I went to visit Cleat Springs. It is run down, roads are narrow and broken up, there are water moccasins in the lake. Nothing like the beautiful place it was.

Needed a placed to stay in Baton Rouge for a weekend and didn’t want to pay $300 for a hotel so I decided to car camp.

Plenty of spaces open in April, was a perk to be able to see the animals too.

Quiet area, well kept. I only paid $10 per night since I didnt use any hookups.

Would definitely stay again.

It has 2 separate areas, both have electric and water at the sites. $25. Smaller RVs and tents only. Dump site at the entrance. There are trials, large picnic areas, and an older bath house with hot showers. Big pond for fishing and swimming.

There's 2 separated campgrounds. The lower site is less accessible for longer campers. $20 per night includes water, power, gravelled site, fire ring, and day use. Lots of trails and a large pond to fish and swim. Picnic areas and well maintained banks. I read a review that stated free primitive camping, but I found no such location.

You may be scared off by the no trespassing signs but there are camp spots where the benches are at, a few spots in the back. I just parked at nature trail for the night because it was much darker. A full moon crispy early Apr night, so the bugs died down by midnight and slept until about 6am with all windows open. Experience backwooda Baton Rogue which is a unique bayou vibe. Would have done 4 stars if I was a shooter or boater, and its a bit of a few mile drive to get in there, roads are dirt but okay for your sedan.

Lovely campground, large lots, friendly & helpful staff & campers, clean restrooms & showers. There are some nice, private spaces, but staff weren’t placing anyone in them due to storm & tornado warnings! Kept everyone close to the office & restrooms (aka storm shelter). Great walking path by the river. A little less rustic than I like, but right across from Natchez, MS which was my touristy destination

We spent a few days at River View RV Park in January, visiting Natchez and enjoying the view of the Mississippi River. The sites were pretty spacious and many have an unobstructed view of the river. There is even a nice paved trail on top of the levee.

The staff was super helpful with advice for what to see and where to eat. We will definitely return when the weather is warmer.

Percy Quin State Park covers a large area. The park includes an 18-hole golf course, a motel, cabins for rent, both camper and primitive camping. There is an area for day use that includes picnic pavilions, a swimming pool, tennis courts, and hiking trail. The park offers a boat launch, marina and a fish cleaning area. The park is a mixture of older and newer buildings. All appear to be well maintained and clean. If full, the park would be an extremely busy place.
