Camp at OHV Trailhead

Nice open spot with some shade. Quiet and close to town. May get busy during day with riders. A good parking spot.

A spot.

Long term campers and trash. Some interesting folks for sure. Prob harmless but camp at own risk.

One free spot across from lake

One spot with its own driveway. A nice flat and private spot. A legit pack in pack out spot. Too bad there is trash everywhere and a big puddle on one side. If you have a rake and shovel then may be a good one day or 14 day spot after a few hours of TLC. Nice trails for walking.

Camp across from Horse Trailhead

Coordinates 45.230277,-123.777780. Across street from Horse Trailhead about half way up Mt Hebo. A good flat spot with nice trails around. Too much trash and glass left at the site though.

Not ideal spot for car parking

Its a big lot area with a view of the river close to the dam. Theres a day use area and resort campground down the road which I asked the hosts there about the dispersed camping and they gave me an attitude saying that because its a state site that the sheriff may come check to ask me to leave. I told that that made no sense as its on usa owned land but they insisted not to park there. I believe they were just jealous because almost noone was at their campground. The day use area is small and watch for the tire strips. The parking area up the hill (at these coordinates) is a bit trashy but its a good spot for walk or bike.

Not ideal spot and challenging road

Diamond Milld rd is a tight logging rd with a kinda steep danger zone cliff on this edge. If you get to spot (the coordinates on dyrt arent exact but close) you will see basically the only part of the rd with a pull aside areai prob for two vans or cars. Its a nice view but kinda creepy if alone IMO. The dispersed camping for this St Forest applies to tenters mainly being 1 mile away from a paid campground. But for just car and van camp youd have to chance it at day area or drive way in to the forest down a rd.

Fee Area but close to other Siuslaw areas

This is a fee area. Have to look really hard this far north in Siuslaw to find a Frst Rd. Just go to Mt Hebo or back to Tili St Forest. Other that most of this north shore OR coast is tough. If anyone has coordinates for their spot Im sure its a valuable share but maybe a keepee.

Good spot not in mountain area

A good spot closer to main rd so seems to be a few degrees difference in temp so got to about low 40s instead of 30s at night. Need to go down road a half mile or so for an open flat spot but with an RV may need to take the first big open spot on the left not too far from main road. There may be other campers there. A good parking spot. Not much else there. If driving from north then need to take a turn around or u-turn to get to the road.

Road closed due to fire warning

Went to top of paulinas peak and the small fires looked to be over 30 miles away. At least there is a public laundry and shower coin operated.

Not a good spot for camping

Got restrictions here, although its good if you want to bike or atv. Theres toilets and picknick table with fire pit, but no water source. Requires a permit to park and no camping outside of parking lot.

Good parking spot close to town

A quiet dry cold night. A vault toilet and some space to spread out.

Parking on Snake River

Cool spot near boat ramp area, with covered benches and trash bins, right on the Snake River. No else there but a pretty kittie cat. I had a good view all night right from across river of the legendary Lizard Butte.

Sufficient forest spot for car

With car or tent ideally need to go way back about 44.0309672, -121.3956555 or further. With van can park with dozen or so other folks near entrance.

Parking spot for a night for me

Coordinates get to entrance with signs, lots of rocks on this sandy rd. Kinda a wastelandish area for offroading and target practice. A good spot for app like Regrid, as half the pond on NW side is state property. Theres some creepy private property sign but that prob means no boating. Prob better to get here from other side from Bend Rd like at 44.085493,-121.126358 if you have a bike or want to hike in. Some cool rock features to climb. Mainly seems like a place for partying.

Awesome Oregon desert

Cool spot, check similar reviews from folks on the Badlands Rock location page.

Cool sandy area with many spots

A good open area with lots of nice smelling juniper. Theres parking at the few trailheads or off the road. The best spot, with some nice features such as lava rocks, is the 3rd right from the main road. Some folks may be particular about their "spot". No toilet, trash nor water but good trails. About 20 mins into town. Didnt see any snakes but was checking just in case. Prob best for RV or car camping. High desert gets to 40s at night this time of year.

The few of Free camping near Boise

Nice spot, got to drive up the road past the usa fee area campground. Its a bit up a hill and not on the valley floor so phone service is there like one bar. No tables but some make shift fire pits at free spots. Kinda a rocky road but not a bunch of holes. Supposedly there have been mountain lion sightings in this area. Some intense utah/idaho drivers so just be cool. A less dry quiet spot, beautiful sounds of bugs at night prob crickets and no biter bugs like mosquitoes. Could give it 4 stars but I got to sneak in in the usa fee area to use toilet. Usually most hosts are not paying attention or are cool about it if you aint a crazy. Hey just realized Im not one of those lol.

Overnight parking

Park in the back. No issues for me. Amazing sunrise and quiet picturesque morning.

Nice spot rough roads

Nice spot but potentially a flood zone. Vault toilets at entrance. Dispersed camp but sites with fire pits. No benches.
