GuideIncredible site with insane views of the Tetons. You are pretty close to neighbors, but the views makes it all worth it. We arrived around 2PM on our first day and all sites were full, we came back around 8 the next morning and found one site available for us to take.
GuideNice and quiet. The views of the valley are nice, but you can’t see the Tetons from any of the sites, so if that’s important to you, look elsewhere. Nice area, but we were pretty inundated with Mosquitoes for the night which was not fun at all.
TravelerI got there late on a Friday at the end of September and got one of the last spots way up at the top of the hill. Definitely a busy place so plan ahead. The views were gorgeous, if you’re on the front side of the mountain you have a stunning view of the Tetons. I was on the back side and the view was great back there too. I drove a low clearance sedan and the road was passable for me but barely. I’m sure it depends on weather and time of year. Took me a solid twenty-ish minutes just to drive from the base of the mountain to my site. Highly recommend.
TravelerWe went at the end of June, so I should have expected some bugs but man it was rough. If you go further up the forest service road there’s free dispersed camping which is what we were planning on. We got to one of the dispersed sites and couldn’t even be outside for a minute without being swarmed by mosquitoes. We ended up going back down to the campground which was still buggy but much more bearable. There were a handful of sites still open on a Thursday evening which we were grateful for.

TravelerFound this spot after finding another nearby spot was full but this one has more spaces available with a nicer gravel road and better access to get to the Tetons first thing in the morning. This spot does get crowded but stayed 3 nights with no issues, easy to find a spot if your car camping.
