Easy access near town, sites are scattered and somewhat uneven

Campground has two access roads just north of Big Pine CA. The campground entrance is approximately 1 mile west of Highway 395. Take Baker Creek Road for a straight shot to the entrance and pay station kiosk. Most sites are located on opposite sides of A small creek that splits above the…

Great weekend getaway spot

Let me start off by saying there was a fairly big issue with 2 of the 3 spots we reserved. The paved lots were so far from level that we didn't have enough leveling blocks. I am confident that these unlevel spots , G80 and G81, are the exception and not the norm.

With that bit out of the way,…

  • Even with this stack of blocks, we were down about 4 inches in the front.
  • Beautiful surroundings!

Quiet, Calm and Restful

We spent the last weekend of September here at this campground. It was so far the most calm and quiet place we have ever been. The staff are friendly and they maintain the place really well. Our campsite is just close to the lake and the lake itself is clean and very calm. We will surely plan on…

Quick stay

We found this campground available after a day in Yosemite. 30min from the Park Entrance. Clean bathrooms but no showers that I saw or were open. We got in at dusk and left early morning.

Upper Pines Oasis

Great campground, nestled beneath the giant granite cliffs. For people with mobility issues, this site is a good walk away from the inner valley trails, fine for anyone else who is up for walking distances, because that is why you came to Yosemite!

FYI: No soap or hand drying items in bathrooms…

Quiet site , lots to see

Great drive in site as well as renting it and having an RV or trailer . The showers are across the way at upper pines as well as dump station and water station for RV . There bathrooms and area to wash dishes . Bear boxes are pretty big for each site .

Close to Yosemite

We stayed here so we could shuttle to Yosemite. The lodge next door is a pick up spot for shuttles into the park. They have a bar/restaurant and a store which is convenient. The park was nice & shaded, with fire pits at each site. We enjoyed our stay- it was quiet being the off-season. The…

Full of families and close drive to trails

We arrived Fourth of July weekend and the drive down to the campground is absolutely stunning! We stayed at site 120 which was very spacious and partially shaded. The river was a lot lower than I have seen the past few times I have been here 4 years ago. Therefore there was a lot of people playing…

Nice lil spot

Be careful which site you choose. Some are close to the road and we couldn't find a map online. We were in site 11 and it was a winner!! On the lake and close to the bathrooms, which by the way were the most clean I've ever seen. Beautiful lake to fish, swim, and hike around. Would go again!!

Incredible views

It’s worth it to grab a fishing license up the road at Ernie’s. It was much windier than we anticipated, so definitely stale your tent down. We woke to a neighbors tent in the trees! Showers were closed because of covid, so check the site for those details. Make sure you grab a bite at the Whoa…
