Hot Springs RV parks accommodate camping across various terrain and price points. Treasure Isle RV Park on Lake Hamilton provides full hookup sites with concrete pads suitable for larger motorhomes. J and J RV Park offers level pull-through spaces with 50-amp electric service and sewer connections approximately 10 miles from downtown Hot Springs. Cloud Nine RV Park, situated on elevated terrain, maintains spacious sites with aggregate pads and full hookups. Leisure Landing RV Park near Lake Hamilton features back-in sites with 30/50-amp service, though spacing between RVs can be tight. Be sure to back in centered, others are complaining about hitting their slide outs."

Several parks require advanced reservations, particularly during fall and spring when Hot Springs National Park visitation peaks. Most established RV sites within 15 miles of downtown include cable TV connections and at least moderate Wi-Fi capability, though signal strength varies significantly between properties. Cell coverage is generally strong for Verizon and AT&T networks throughout the area. Catherine's Landing

    Very Nice, Lots of Amenities

Catherine’s Landing is a great RV park with lots of amenities and things happening. This park is an RVC Outdoor Destination property which is known for their “resort” amenities. The park is set on 400 acres with one mile bordering Lake Catherine and about eight or nine miles from downtown Hot Springs.

All roads, sites and patios are paved and this is definitely a big rig-friendly park. Every site has water, 50/30 amp, sewer, cable, and wifi. Fire pits and picnic tables accompany all sites. There are a variety of sites ranging from waterfront back-in, pull-thrus, or interior back-in. Waterfront sites have a nice view of the lake from the back of the site and access for fishing. The park also has yurts and cottages (some of which are pet-friendly). Adjacent to the yurts is a nice, large covered picnic area with grills, a dish washing station.

Lots and lots of amenities here. Hiking trails, swimming pool, fitness center, lounge, playground, dog park, zip-line, boat rental, boat launch, store, and disc golf. Some amenities (boat rentals and zip-line) are an extra charge.

Hot Springs is a nice little town nestled in the Ouachita Mountains with interesting history and natural beauty. We found plenty to do from hiking the National Park to learning about the bathhouse history to discovering the gangster influence. We spent four nights and could have stayed longer with all that the town offers. Most people come here to bathe in the soothing warm mineral waters but there is also a horse racetrack, science museum, off road track, water/theme park, alligator farm, and a few museums. Hot Springs National Park has miles and miles of great hiking trails and a great place to spend an afternoon. The town of Hot Springs is very dog-friendly and we found many places that would allow them in and on the patio for lunch.

    Pros:

    • Very nice, clean, well-manicured
    • Lots of amenities
    •  Paved level sites with paved patios
    • The dog park was a decent size for running and mingling with other dogs
    • The hiking trail(about 3 miles) was a big plus and got used a lot.

    Cons:

    • Price. We booked late and didn’t have too many sites to choose from we had to pay for a waterfront site

Petit Jean State Park — Petit Jean State Park

    Fantastic State Park

Camped here on May 1, 2025. This is one of my favorite state parks in the USA. Lots to do here. Fantastic hiking trails - rated from easy to difficult. Since I live only 45 minutes from this park, I normally come here for the day for hiking. This time, I got around to trying out the park's campground. This popular campround is divided into 4 areas - A through D. There are a total of 125 campsites, including 26 pull-through sites. Thirty-five of the sites are Class AAA sites which have 50 amp electrical, water, and sewer hookups. There are 90 Class B sites offering 30 amp electrical and water hookups. All sites are reservable. Tent and hammock camping is possible depending on the sites. I camped at site 103 in Area D. The staff at the office helped me pick this site for my campervan. The site had water and 30amp service. The restroom/shower house was clean and well maintained. The campsite itself was dated but clean. The site was large and had trees around it offering a little bit of privacy. The pull-thru drieway was close to the campground road. The site included a picnic table, tent pad, lantern pole, metal fire ring, and grill. Solar charging and Starlink connectivity may not be possible at this site; Area C has an open sky above it. There was some road noise from vehicles driving on Petit Jean Mountain Road which is behind the site. Received good AT&T 5G cell service, but little to no T-Mobile 2G service.  Areas C and D are in the woods. Most of the sites in these areas are on the small size but should easily accomodate a truck camper and smaller. Not all sites are level. Areas A and B can accomodate large rigs and towables.

    Leisure Landing RV Park

    Don't Bother

Gravel parking lot with painted stripes, a patch of grass growing under the picnic table, and full hookups. Be sure to back in centered, others are complaining about hitting their slide outs. Watch your step. One of the long-term residents isn't picking up their dog waste. The nicest spot in the whole place is the little fenced-in dog spot overlooking the canal that makes its way out to the lake you can't see from here.

    Downtown Riverside RV Park

    Unique RV Experience

At first entrance it appears as if you are entering a large parking lot. There is a large pavilion to picnic and pet area by the water. Each site requires a 50 amp but the office will offer one for purchase if you need a 50 to 30 amp connections. The center lot is for pull through sites the other site areas non-pull through by water and fence. The fence area is close to the bridge but could be limited with views since it is far away from the water and Class A frequent area.

    Two things I love:

    1. The unique downtown riverside views
    2. The ease of getting to this RV park even though it is downtown Little Rock.

    Hot Springs National Park KOA

    Pleasant

Stayed 2 nights in a basic one room cabin. Had a double bed and bunk bed. Heat /air and cable tv. They advertise WiFi but we didn’t get good reception even though our cabin was very near the office/pool/bathroom. Clean and well kept. Porch swing, fire ring and water at the site. Friendly staff. Clean facilities. Pool is small. Dog play area and kids playground. Good location for exploring hot springs area.

Gulpha Gorge Campground — Hot Springs National Park

    Beautiful, clean, great location

Beautiful, clean, great location. Camped here in Feb 2020, right on the river. Full hookups, mostly back-in but some pull throughs. Paved, level. Tent sites, too. Clean bathrooms, little camp store. Close to town. Would camp again.

    Hot Springs National Park KOA

    Clean with a dog park

D26 Back-in full hook-ups, fire ring & picnic table. 2 nights - Memorial Day weekend. Good spot, close to bath rooms/shower house/cafe. Pretty level - just 1 leveling block was all we needed for our pop-up. Lots of amenities- cafe, fishing pond, small general store, playground and off leash dog area. Staff was very friendly. Escorted you to your spot and helped us back in. Shower house was always clean. Loved the dog park! We are just starting to travel with our 2 boxers and was so nice to have an area for them to run a bit. Cons - spots are very close, no privacy. Each spot has a very bright “porch” light that is on until Midnight

    Cloud Nine RV Park

Great WiFi, Rec room, and comfort station

This is a nice place with a combination of pull through and back-in spots. Our site (and I’m assuming others) is level with well-packed aggregate. The sites are fairly spacious for this type of layout.

The park is located 10-12 miles outside of Hot Springs. Even though it’s along a highway, it’s quite a ways up a hill and through the woods. We had no issues with road noise at night.

If you want a built-in grill or fire pit, then you’re not going to be happy because they don’t have them. I saw a lot of folks had their own small grills. I also saw a full-size black stone griddle at the rec room, but did not ask if it was available for everyone to use.

    Downtown Riverside RV Park

Parking lot but close to downtown.

Talk about great location in a great town. We usually do not like camping in cities this big but wanted to come here to visit the William J. Clinton Presidential Library. And what a great location this park is to downtown Little Rock and the library. There is a pedestrian bridge that takes you over the Arkansas River to downtown and all the attractions; as well as, some great restaurants and a vibrant downtown.

This campground is essentially a parking lot.  There is no shade and our air conditioners ran non-stop since we were there in July.  There is a grassy area in front along the river that is a common area for you to enjoy the night sky. The riverfront is beautiful at night with the downtown lit up at night. Sites include 50 amp electric, water and sewer. There is also a dump station and WiFi. Some of the riverfront sites have been upgrades to concrete pads and some sites are pull-thru sites. The restrooms were clean and washers and dryers are on-site. The park takes any kind of RV from pop-up to Class A but does not accept tents. The price we paid was definitely reasonable at$22/night(with tax) but they also offer numerous discounts.

Downtown Little Rock is a great town with plenty to do, see, and eat. The great things about this park are that it is convenient to the interstate and a great price. For the location, you would expect to pay a lot more. We loved walking to town at night and enjoying the restaurants and breweries that bring the downtown to life. The weekly farmers market was a highlight and the Presidential Library is not to be missed.

Guide to Hot Springs

Hot Springs RV parks feature varied landscapes, from hillside properties to lakefront facilities. Most campgrounds within a 12-mile radius of downtown require navigation through winding roads at elevations between 600-1200 feet. Winter temperatures typically range from 30-60°F while summer sees consistent 85-95°F days, influencing water usage restrictions at some locations.

What to do

Crystal mining opportunities: At Crystal Ridge RV Park, visitors can search for quartz crystals at the adjacent Ron Coleman Mining operation. "For $20 you can go spend the day diggin through dirt and finding crystals. I don't think everyone has the luck we had but we came after a rain and cleaned up. Hundred bucks in gems," notes a camper who discovered crystals around their campsite fire pit.

Lake activities: Youngs Lakeshore RV Resort offers direct lake access where campers can fish or launch boats. Its location provides convenient access to both water recreation and downtown attractions. "Close to Oaklawn Horse Track," mentions one visitor, highlighting the proximity to Hot Springs entertainment venues.

River floating: Near Caddo River Access RV Park, visitors can rent canoes or kayaks for river trips. "The float is also so much fun and accessible for all ages! There's so much to see and the water actually moves instead of you having to paddle the whole way," explains a reviewer who appreciated the easy river access.

What campers like

Quiet water features: Campers at J and J RV Park frequently mention the tranquil creek that runs through the property. "The creek is nice and you can hear the water flowing over the rocks at night, the proverbial babbling brook," writes one guest who enjoyed the natural sound.

Clean facilities: Multiple RV sites near Hot Springs, Arkansas receive praise for their bathroom facilities. "The bathhouse reminded me of a dayspa! The campsites are very small and tight. People and staff are friendly. They have a dogpark!" notes a Leisure Landing visitor, emphasizing unexpected amenities.

Helpful management: Cloud Nine RV Park earns consistent praise for staff assistance and campground cleanliness. "The manager does a great job of keeping the park up and keeping the restroom and laundry room spotless," writes a camper who also mentioned enjoying the clubhouse's porch rockers for reading.

What you should know

Site spacing considerations: Several Hot Springs area RV accommodations feature compact layouts. "Sites are very level but some were kind of cramped. Wifi and cable were adequate and it was relatively quiet for the time we spent here," explains a Treasure Isle visitor who stayed for a week.

Highway noise factors: Campgrounds located near main roads may experience traffic sounds. At Caddo River Access, one camper notes, "Be warned that the campsite is right off a highway bridge so a decent amount of traffic through at all times. Stores located close by."

Seasonal pest awareness: Some camping facilities experience seasonal insect activity. "The Oakworms were crazy. That's not rain you hear falling from the trees! Stay under the awning," advises a Crystal Ridge visitor about a seasonal phenomenon affecting tree-covered campsites.

Tips for camping with families

Water recreation access: Leisure Landing RV Park includes family-friendly facilities near water. "We loved our weekend stay at this park. There are a lot of long term people and a few that seem to rotate. The bathrooms were fantastic and so was the laundry room. There's a little boat dock and good sized dog park too."

Budget-friendly options: Sites with lower nightly rates often provide unexpected value. At Crystal Ridge RV Park, a camper reported, "$12 a night, full hookup potential AND you are walking distance to the mine!!! For $20 you can go spend the day diggin through dirt and finding crystals."

Activity variety: Families appreciate campgrounds with multiple recreation options. "If you are planning to kayak, canoe or tube, then you may not mind how busy the campgrounds are," notes a Caddo River visitor, suggesting water activities compensate for campground density.

Tips from RVers

Road access considerations: When driving larger RVs to Hot Springs Arkansas Finish Line RV Park, campers note the convenient location. "Everything is awesome. Sites are in pristine condition. Managers are so friendly and helpful. Located in Hot Spring proper. Easy access to everything," reports a visitor who appreciated the central positioning.

Technical connections: Cell service varies significantly between camping locations. At J and J RV Park, one extended-stay camper observed, "There is no dog park, but plenty of space to walk your fur children. We enjoyed the full hook ups. Nice big pull thru sites. The Wi-Fi is nonexistent."

Leveling requirements: RVers should prepare for varied pad construction at Hot Springs campsites. "The sites are level. Be careful on the road in. It's a little bumpy but it evident they do try to maintain it. It also has two turns that you want to take wide," advises a Cloud Nine visitor regarding access challenges.
