ScoutWent there to stay during the Northwest Fiber event, June 5-8, 2025. Stayed in RV-2 campground area because we thought this would be convenient to the event.
First, there are lousy amenities, as in basically none except a porta-potty. No functional dump station. Biggest issues are:
The toilet / shower building is a hike from the campground and is LOCKED during the night and even during the day on random days. On a Sunday afternoon at 2 PM it was locked. This is stupid because you need a code to get in so it's always locked, yet the facility personnel lock it with a deadbolt so NOBODY can get in, even with a code.
We stayed Thursday - Monday and for 12 hours on Saturday and on Sunday there were car races going on 150 yards away with a bunch of Trump supporting yahoos roaring around in souped up very noisy cars all day long. My sound meter read 100 Db at my campsite for 12 hours straight. Dust, noise and smell of burning oil and gasoline were annoying.
Porta-potty, the only option for relieving oneself when the shower and toilet building was locked (which was most of the time) was filthy and disgusting.
In summary, a major waste of money and a crap camping experience. Would not stay here again.
ScoutVery close to Bremerton, Silverdale, Kitsap county. Has about 5 tent spots with picnic tables and fire pit. Had a bathroom but no other amenities- drinking water, shower, firewood/ice for sale. Can be noisy due to dirt bike traffic. Escape the city and enjoy the outdoors while recluse to home and comforts.

Oh! Lots of bugs everywhere so be warned 🫣 The spots near the woods have more trash around them.
You can hear the roaring river! We didn’t try going down there, but there are some hiking trails that might get you to the water.
There are several toilets around. No trash cans, pack out. Fairly close to the park.
This is an airstrip, the planes are quiet so you don’t really hear them coming in. But hurry up and get a show if you hear them for take off!! Pretty cool!!
RangerThe drive up to this road is half paved and unpaved , not too bumpy. Big area for camp- dry camping. There was already a fire ring made, we opted out of having a fire. There’s a trail that seems to go back but just a dead end. We did have someone pull in, but just a local checking out if the spot was available. lots of mosquitoes around.
GuideWe came here a year or two ago and decided to return. Great place as always! We stayed in spot 8 with our 20’ camper. Electric and water only. Plenty of vegetation to separate campers. There’s TV antenna reception as well, although reception with Verizon isn’t too great. Nice views of the water if you walk there, and an easy place to launch kayaks (which we brought). Will definitely return again!

ScoutAbsolutely amazing spots. Very spread out. Big rig spots for sure but road is very potholey. Go slow. Find a spot. Fire rings. Plenty of wood laying around and if there is no fire ban it’s even better. Hope you get lucky like I did. There is a pay slash donation and worth every penny. Somewhere around 5$ a day or if you’re strapped for cash just cross your fingers.

ScoutReally beautiful little camping spot. Whimsical river access. No drinking water access I could find and the directions said to get water from the near by trail head pump but that pump is broken so bring water or a filter.
