lots of spots along river and canyon walls- we rolled in late evening and most spots were filled up. Follow along the road to find spots right up against red rock! close to the road but feels like you’re far away
Literally just outside Zion NP had great views easy access for our Sprinter 2500 and we stayed here 2 nights in peace and happiness!
So we figured out there are two entrances to this campground. We completely missed the campsites that were easy to get to but in my opinion going further up the road was well worth it. It was a bit sketchy going further into the campsite. I was able to do it in my honda civic but i bottomed out a bit so I reccomend a vehicle with higher clearance if you attempt to get up to the more private sites. We were the only ones who were up there and the view of Mt. Carmel was beautiful. We had a 360 degree view from where we camped. There was a few firepits in the area. No toilets or trash so pack in and pack out. Lots of wood to burn in the area. Oh yeah and there's 4g.
A nice little stop over for the night. Going down gravel/dirt road you find a few pull out areas big enough for multiple RVs and a number of smaller spots for tents. Peaceful spot, a few rock fire rings and good cell service (ATT).
Rains may make road questionable and road is close to river. End of BLM land is clearly marked at end of road.
This is BLM land so its free, and no amenities. Pack it in and pack it out. You drive down a gravel road into a ravine. There's a large gravel lot to the left and a bit of a half loop near a river on the right a little further down the road. There is shade here from plenty of trees. Continuing on the road, there are horse corrals on the left and beyond that, a large group site. There were lots of scout tents up there. Beyond this, the road turns sandy and hard to navigate unless you have a 4x4. We turned around here and stayed at the first lot we found. There was a big RV already there and a passenger car. Plenty of space for the three of us and maybe 2 more. Being into the ravine made it a quiet night but a very cold morning. No shade here. This BLM area is close to the east side of Zion and Mt Carmel town. Good restaurant in Mt Carmel.
