Grand Canyon-Williams KOA

Stayed a week here to have access to GCNP and the surrounding NM and NPs within 2 hours of Flagstaff. 

The private bathrooms were cleaned daily in the AM and the sites were relatively level.

Great park. Within an hour to the south rim of Grand Canyon. We had a 30 amp back in. Site 21 water and electric only. Some sites were FHU. Some sites had hookups on "wrong" side. Sites are small and close together. We enjoyed our stay here. Clean bathrooms, nice laundry room, great pool and hot tub. Camp was very clean and people friendly. About 6 miles to Williams AZ where there are restaurants and grocery.

We stayed here because it was very reasonably priced for a cabin when we were visiting the Grand Canyon. After a very hot day seeing the Canyon, it was great to return to the pool. There was also a hot tub (age 14+ only). The cabins didn’t have air conditioning but it got pretty cool at night and there was a fan so we slept great. Everyone was friendly. Nice large and clean bathrooms and showers. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to visit!

The campground is exactly what a person would expect from the KOA brand. If you are traveling with a family and it’s your first time tent camping, this will make your experience enjoyable. There is a KOA store but it has business hours. Luckily there is a gas station that is walking distance. Pool and spa were nice. Bathrooms were clean.

The only downside is the noise from the highway. Oh, cell service is not good. You’ll have to rely on their Wi-Fi.

Had all of the amenities. Friendly staff. Flat sites. Clean water. Clean bathrooms. Laundry room. Rec room. Camp store. Coffee, wood, ice and gas all available. Quiet. Beautiful stars at night.

Our drive-thru site was easily accessible but I was surprised to find that the sites do not have sewer lines. You can dump on your way out. Oddly I have cell service at the entrance but not at our site and while the facility does offer WiFi it is pretty much nonfunctioning due to the speeds being so slow. The facility is clean and convenient to our travels, cross country trek (FL to CA) and visiting the Grand Canyon on this two day stop along the way,

Great place for sure to explore the Grand Canyon it’s right at the heart you also can take the train for the little polar express during winter time. KOA have everything in general, great place for family , pool, , playgrounds, full hook ups good size RV parks laundry room showers and everything else they have available here really a great place to come with the family

This spot was a classic koa. Well kept with plenty of amenities.

It is 1 hr from the Grand Canyon. Would return but it wasn’t anything super special.

The camper cabins were a warm and welcome abode after roughing it boondocking for a while. Showers and bathrooms were clean and the cabins were pet friendly.

Great place to stay if you are going to the Grand Canyon for a day. Close enough to town to get supplies. We enjoyed our stay.

Typical KOA, Attentive staff and clean facilities. Sites are large and most are pull-throughs. This facility is much smaller than the Circle Pines KOA located off the 40. Location is great for visiting the Grand Canyon and Williams. Only complaint is it is a bit noisy, the highway leading to the GC runs right by the campground. All hours of the night you can hear large loud trucks and tons of tire noise as vehicles travel the road.

Sites were nice and big. Staff was super nice. The game room is ok with an old pool table and an arcade game but you have to pay for those. Bathrooms were nice. Nice little store and coffee shop. They had different bikes to rent but only until 6pm. Overall a decent RV park.

Stayed in one of the cabins here with kids. Was well maintained, but overall quite dusty. KOAs are nothing if not predictable. Twin Bunk Beds, one queen bed, bare light bulb, front porch. There were RV sites as well.

Great jumping off point to get to Grand Canyon as it is a little bit North out of the town of Williams. Also easy to get to Williams to have dinner, etc...

Bathroom/showers were very unkept and dirty. The Koa is close to the Grand Canyon and Route 66 through Williams.

It was a smaller KOA camp than most. But there were only a few people there in the middle of November, which made it nice for feeling “away” from the world and not having to wait for bathrooms. Any where that’s not inside is great, but it was more of a high desert terrain than woodlands like I was hoping, however that was my error for not looking into it more. They provide a small heater for the cabins, so if you go during the winter season be sure to bring warm clothes and warm blankets! Clean, and friendly facility, nice bathrooms.

The store offered a few things. The shower houses were being renovated. We only stayed one night and it snowed. In May!

We stayed there summer 2017 and had a great time. The store had souvenirs and basic needs.

Bathrooms were clean and pool area was nice. Be careful of your water usage there they need to ship their water in.

This campground is about 45 minutes from Grand Canyon. Their are a few campgrounds closer but they didn’t look good. About 1/2 way to the Grand Canyon there is a gas stop that has souvenirs and camp needs.

This is a perfect stop to do everything you want at the Grand Canyon.

when we booked this we assumed the campground was actually close to the Grand Canyon since it’s in the name but when we got there we realized our mistake. the campground was busy but clean. very few showers but they were private. we only stayed a night because of the driving distance, but appreciated the price and dog friendly privileges

Pretty standard as far as KOAs go. The bathrooms were kinda dirty and they needed to add more showers cause the lines were long. but other than that the staff was great and it was a nice campground.

They have a nice fully furnished store and has a great view of the area.

Overall great experience, couldn't have asked for a better facility after a rim to rim hike! Excellent location and views.

Even though we had been camping on this road trip and had our gear in the car, we elected to stay in one of the camping cabins at the Williams KOA and it was quite a treat. Even in the late summer, it can get cool in the evening, so we were thankful for the extra shelter. After dinner by the campfire ring, we went to bed and awoke the next morning to take the little Williams train into the South Rim where we hiked for a couple of miles with our 4-year-old. She did surprisingly well, and it ended being a great little short stay at the GC.

I only went there once and it was a couple years back, but I had a whole bunch of fun, and lets just say, I cannot wait to go back!

This place is jam packed and probably the farthest you can get away from the Grand Canyon but still be called 'Grand Canyon'. It is a KOA so I wasn't expecting anything amazing but you are like on top of the tent next to yours. If I were you I wouldn't go here but rather check if TenX has any space.

We stayed here after we visited Zion National Park. This was the closest campground to the park that had spots available. It was definitely further than one would imagine considering it is called the Grand Canyon Koa. The facility had lots of amenities, pool, showers, movies, restaurant, etc. However the sites were WAY to close together offering zero privacy and really making you feel cramped. The people were accommodating and the facilities well kept but I will definitely be searching for a more secluded location next time. Great if you have kids and want to have all kinds of this to keep them busy.
