Great location. Full hook up. Helpful staff. Safe.
Not very nice. We paid extra for a river soy and it wasn’t worth the extra cost. Spots are TIGHT. We had to work so hard to get out trailer in. It’s pretty cramped all around actually- too close to the neighbors and not very many amenities.
Not bad overall, but I think if we return to Colorado Springs, we could find better.
This spot was a classic koa. Well kept with plenty of amenities.
Gravel spots with full hookup.
It is 1 hr from the Grand Canyon. Would return but it wasn’t anything super special.
17 mile loop with open FREE BLM spots. They are easy to get to, easy to spot. Some of bigger than others ( depending on what you need for your rig).
Get there early, that’ll ensure you choose the spot you like best. There are lots of campers throughout the area so you don’t feel too isolated… but you also still feel out and alone with nature.
No fires. Make sure you don’t drive jn when it’s wet. And be careful with huge rigs- there are some steeper inclines on some of the hills. 4 wheel drive helps.
Sunset and sunrises are heavenly! Better than Monument valley because it’s free, it’s quiet, away from everything, AND you can see monument valley from most of the spots! WIN!
Full hookup. Big gravel lots and lots of them. Great location close to downtown Santa Fe and stores for loading up. It was quiet too.
Not very pretty. Not much of an office. No amenities really. WiFi was not very great either.
This rv resort plays up the RESORT aspect. It’s near perfect.
Right off the highway, safe (gated entry), well kept, pretty.
The owners do a great job of contacting you with all the instructions and help you might need before you even arrive. There are bath houses, a pool, and even a playground for kids.
The spots are gravel ( a little unlevel due to the slight hills) but perfectly spaced with full hook up.
We had a quiet, peaceful Stu. Will absolutely come back!
This state park is really pretty, full of lush Spanish moss trees, hiking trails, and historic markers.(although finding out this was a plantation for 150 slaves was unpleasant).
It’s only 45 mins to New Orleans so it’s a great place to stop, drop, and sightsee for the day.
It had full hook ups available. Free WiFi even. The spots are level and concrete… and nicely spaced. There are picnic tables and grills available for use too.
Careful - when it rains, it floods.
This location is everything. Literally across the street from a long stretch of white sandy beach!
Easy enough to check in. We got there late and they had a packet waiting for us at the office. An employee even helped us set up. We had to back in, even in the rain though… bummer.
There are plenty of cool amenities. We had full hookup as well.
Cons: spots are really close together, sandy gravel (was a mess to clean up), and there is a train track with a very active train right next door ( we were woken up in the middle of the night by this).
We had to stay in the area for a few nights and didn’t know what to expect, but when we rolled into the RV park we were so pleasantly surprised. It’s wel maintained, big, and even has a lovely duck pond on the property.
The sites are evenly spaced, gravel, and level. All pull through a with full hook up. The check in was super easy. The location is right off the main road so it’s super accessible. Wish it were a little less noisy, you can hear traffic.
All in all, a nice place.
We really enjoyed our short stay! The campground was affordable, esp when you consider the lovely water views. Each spot is designated clearly, is level, and has its own lake vista. It’s a small place but perfect for a night or two for a peaceful retreat. They have both pull through and back in spots available and check in was a breeze. They even had our names on a reserved sign when we arrived. Oh, and there are a few docks to fish and explore upon! Would definitely return!
