This is our second year at Shallow Creek. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The grounds, laundry and shower rooms are clean and well kept. Level parking sites with full hook ups, easy access, picnic tables and park-like lighting are the things we appreciate at this RV resort.

This is a newer RV “resort” that is still growing. The pool isn’t open yet but will be very nice when it is. There is a pavilion for large gatherings, a camp store, and laundry on site. The roads and pads are all concrete with full hookups. The park is well maintained, aesthetically pleasing, and everyone is very nice. Give this place a try if you’re nearby.

Although near the highway and the Tyler Pounds Field Regional Airport, this rv park is surprisingly quiet and peaceful. An older park, well maintained with mature trees lining the property. A good portion of long term stay residents with smiles and waves and neat spaces.

The park is located inside town and close to shopping. Bathroom and showers house was added last year. This is a great place for large rv groups and rallys. The rates are $39 daily. Park location is ideal Lake is beautiful many big trees! But roads are terrible, spaces are unlevel, with no uniform length! As usual for Thousand Trails never enough 50amp hookups. There was suppose to be a laundry, no laundry.! There is a propane station, but no one is licensed to operate it! That turned out to be a huge problem. Biggest ice and snow storm in 70yrs temperatures down to -2degrees below freezing for several days several inches of snow. All park water lines froze, rolling blackouts by the state, no propane available anywhere!!! Good thing my unit has a generator or I would have had to stay in my truck! I like to use Thousand Trails but they are not keeping their parks up. Park employees were helpful as they could be with very little resources. They gave me a bottle of propane from one of the cabins which was nice, and I appreciated that. They gave some to other campers, but there werent enough to go around. The park employee felt bad for not being able to help everyone! I will come back again in the summer.

We stayed one night in our RV in this spacious RV resort. My kids had fun fishing and playing on the playground and LOVED that we could rent a golf cart. The pad for the RV was level, with a nice amount of space between sites. Good value for the cost.

This is very popular RV Resort near Terrell, Tx. Do your reservation early or you may not get in! This is convenient to the Dallas/Ft Worth areas as well as Canton first Monday trade days and TX
LegendThe camping area is mostly occupied by long term RV campers. Many of the campers are employed in the nearby areas. Grounds offer water/electric/sewer hookups, there are also toilets available but no showers. The RV grounds are part of the city park which offers a splash pad (seasonal), large playground, pavilion, picnic areas, arboretum, and a short hiking trail (approximately one third of a mile). The RV sites are backed up by the sheriff's office/county jail the courthouse is down the road, and there is a police department across the street. This isn't to suggest that the area is dangerous, its a small town and everything is pretty much right there. Shopping and restaurants are within walking distance.
Lake Fork, a popular fishing lake is within a ten minute drive. Lake Quitman is less than ten minutes, generally this is where water sport activities occur. Pets are welcome.

This is a small RV park right off a main highway a few miles outside of Jacksonville. The first thing you notice is the amazing view! You are able to see for miles. Denny met us when we drove up and helped us settle into our site. Full hookups with a concrete pad, very level. The laundry facility was good and free. Will definitely stay there again if in the area.

Canton I-20 RV Park is fantastic! The spacious, well-maintained sites made setup easy, and the full hookups were a plus. We loved the pool and the friendly staff made us feel right at home. Perfect spot for a comfortable and convenient stay—highly recommend!
LegendWe spent one night at Bluebonnet Ridge last fall on a trip to Phoenix. It appears to be more for long term RVers, but it was convenient to the interstate and a good place to stop before hitting Dallas. The site was level, but muddy, and they were very close together. Water and electric and sewer at all sites. There is a nice store and a pool which was not open when we were there.

We are traveling in a 40 Motorhome towing a car and are coming up on the end of a 7 month tour of the USA gulf and east coast, now heading home to the Austin TX area, We were directed to an immaculate concrete pad site with full hookups. As it was during the week. and it is mid October the park was about 70% empty, expectations are that it will fill up for the weekend only until the winter months when I would expect the snowbirds arrive. I don't understand the negative reviews, and that is the reason I am writing this, my first review ever. The park has a large lounge with a grill/coffee bar/adult beverage bar, a game room, exercise room, and general store, all of which were brand new and beautiful. There is a small lake with lots of floating things for kids to climb on, a children's pool with lots of water features, a lazy river to float around using provided inner tubes, and an adults only pool with a swim up bar. Restroom/shower/laundry facilities were perfect. The staff was very nice. It is getting cooler here in October, so we were the only folks foolish enough to use the pools today. It is a cashless facility so you wear a bracelet and all purchases for food, drink, or whatever are charged to your credit card on file when you check out. We had great included WiFi and streamed most of out television using it, and our ATT phones were 4 to 5 bars. We are "spoiled" RV'ers used to staying at pretty much top of the line, no kidding, real RV Resorts and this place certainly fits the bill. Its not cheap for sure, but it is wonderful. We will be returning this coming summer for a few week stay during our next journey. As it is a new facility, there are not a lot of trees for shade by the pads, but they will come as the resort matures I am sure. I recommend this park to anybody looking for a good experience. As a bonus, it is less than 15 miles from Kilgore, the antique capitol of TX.

Awesome long term spot. Has a concrete RV pad that you can park your camper on or park beside it and use the very long pad as your patio, which is what we did. Management very responsive to needs and any questions you may have. This spot is on a very quiet area with minimal boat traffic. We had one camper behind us and they were super quiet. Super nice. Laundry at the office for reasonable price to use the washers and dryers.

I think we may have been placed in an alternate area available at Canton Marketplace. It was literally a pasture behind the Old Mill Marketplace aside of the "mountain" area of Canton Trade Days. We were so grateful to find a place - showing up for an overnight only on our way elsewhere - in the middle of Trade Days weekend. It was muddy, but it had water and electricity. It appeared to be an area where long-term residents, maybe vendors, stayed. For a weekender in Canton shopping - it's fine. It is definitely not a site intended for enjoyment of the campground itself nor is it scenic in any way.

This is the best Free camping ground that I have been in, travel south for winter and drive about 200 miles every couple days. This park has been the best, stayed here 4 days because so beautiful,has everything, swimming, fishing, bait shop, privacy, shade, sun, electricity if needed, motel room if you want, full hook-up also here, shopping down the road.

I stayed for 4 nights from a Thursday through Monday. The owner is very nice and helped me with choosing a drive thru site. It is well maintained. Mix of long term and short stay resident s. It is near a busy arterial highway so it's not especially quiet. The hookups worked great. I was two spots from the very front of the park. I used Passport America pass for my first 3 nights. I felt safe. It is very pet friendly. Keep dogs on leash and clean up after them. I have 3 black labs. No fenced dog park yet, so I drove them to the city park with tennis courts every morning to run free. I will most likely stay here again. I mostly boondock in the forests, but when I need a place to resupply and take care of business needs, this place is very nice.

Even though closed for Covid, the pool was cleaned daily.
There's a small dog park area.
Doggie bags were provided in multiple places, and ample trash cans in which to drop them.
Sufficient WiFi repeaters throughout the CG
The grass is kept mowed down, good to avoid those Texas stickers getting in your shoelaces.
All but one staff member was really friendly.
Package receiving was well handled and painless.
Each visitor, even short term like us, gets a mailbox. You can go in 24/7 and check it.
There's a "swap area" where people leave magazines, etc. (Near the mailboxes.)
There's a nice little pond you can fish in, catch-and-release only, no license required.
LOTS of room to walk the dog!
There's ample overflow parking and trailer storage space so you don't have to crowd your campsite.
Laundry facility on site, we didn't utilize it since we have a W/D in the rig.
Bulletin board for posting things, we bought our W/D from another person at the campsite!
Park was pretty quiet while we were there. No ruckus or loud people. Folks walked around, talked a bit.

Mr. Mortis, owner/operator, is as nice and down to earth as they come. He obviously cares a great deal about the park and area, as his planting of 50,000 trees in the area will attest. He has created a beautiful park and hiking/biking trails and more. With multiple visits to the park, we look forward to chatting with Mr. Mortis each visit.
