Best RV Parks & Resorts near Cuyahoga Falls, OH

Several RV parks operate near Cuyahoga Falls with varying hookup options. Woodside Lake Park in Streetsboro offers seasonal camping from April to October with full hookup RV sites including 50-amp electrical service, though the gravel pads require careful leveling. "Sites are close but shady and large enough for trailer and our truck," noted one RV camper who visited Roundup Lake RV Resort. Roundup Lake in Mantua provides water, sewer and electric hookups with pull-through sites accommodating larger motorhomes until October 31st. Countryside Campground in Mogadore features 30-amp electrical service with water and sewer connections, though it does not accommodate all big rigs on its more compact pads.

Full hookup availability varies significantly throughout the region, with most parks closing for winter between late October and early May. Seasonal pricing ranges from moderate to premium depending on amenities and proximity to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Dump stations are available at most locations, though water quality concerns were mentioned in reviews at some properties. "Very few full hookups. Rest of the sites only have 15-20 amp service. The lots are not even close to level. You will need a lot of blocks to get close to level," reported a visitor about Punderson State Park. Cell service is generally reliable throughout the area, with most parks accepting pets with standard restrictions. Several campgrounds enforce strict 5 mph speed limits on interior roads, important when navigating larger motorhomes through tighter camping areas.

    Thompson/Grand River Valley KOA Holiday

    Happy Camping

Relax, breath, and camp. Perfect spot.

This Campground is quiet, full of fun, for families or older people. Beautiful area.
Many pull through lots, with patios. 50. 30. Full hookup, (sewer and Electric) back in, pull through, tent sites, cabins, teepees. Swimming pool, private bathrooms and showers. Fishing lake, swimming lake, trails. Children play areas. Basketball, bad mitten/volleyball, Dog wash, dog parks (2), private fenced dog sites. (2)- pull through site. Golf cart rentals, and seasonal sites that are being updated, but all are decorated nicely, and kept up.
KOA is revamping some of this campground. Work in progress, but awesome stay.

    Amish Country Campsites

    Amish campsite

Very small campgrounds literally next to if not part of a corn field extremely cramped back if our camper was 2ft from the camper behind us and 15 ft from the campers left to right. When we left we had to knock on camper doors to ask folks to move their cars so we could pull out of out parking spot. The other campers were very nice lots of local folks they were fun to talk to. The camp site did have clean showers. Hot water. And. Clean restroom facilities. The dump station isn’t the best it is on a hill so dumping ones waste tanks completely could be a challenge The owners were polite but short The sites aren’t the best the electric is only 30 amp. And very dated they did have water hookups at each site. I didn’t take any pictures as there wasn’t anything to see at the campground other than campers packed in like sardines It is close to town and the shops. Everything closed at 5:00 including gas stations As they say any port in a storm. So as a last resort I guess it’s is okay. Just don’t plan to leave after 5:00 pm unless you have a full tank of gas. No ada camp sites. They are pet friendly

    Atwood Lake Park Campground

    Incredible!

The Atwood Lake Campground is a true gem in a beautiful area of eastern Ohio! We’ve visited the Atwood region many times in the past but have never camped - but after this visit we’ll be back for sure. The campground is relatively new, with the campground area being completely revamped beginning in 2017. There are two overnight camping areas with seasonal sites in a separate section; we stayed in “Camp H” which is the newest area. There is a huge bathhouse with two sets of men’s and women’s restrooms and shower facilities along with a very nice laundry area. Adjoining the bathhouse area is a beautiful pavilion and children’s playground - all of which overlooks Atwood Lake. The campsites are nicely spaced though if you’re in the inner loop as we were or even some of the outer ring sites you’ll be looking right into your neighbor’s site. All sites are FHU on level concrete pads and include a metal picnic table and fire ring. If needed there are two very well equipped dump stations if you prefer to use them instead of the sewer connection at your site. Many sites are on cul de sacs directly on the lake with docks and fishing areas adjacent to the campsites. Lots of hiking trails, paved bike paths, a swimming beach and restaurant are in a nearby area. We loved the campground and will return soon!

    Timber Ridge Campgrounds

    Great Experience

We stayed at Timber Ridge for a month and found this to be a very nice campground. Stores are very level, full hookups, fishing pond, amazing indoor swimming pool. Staff was extremely nice. Many if the campers are long term but have several overnight doors as well.

We stayed in a 29ft Travel Trailer, but sites could handle the largest of rigs.

    Outstanding site in great campground

Stayed on a premium patio site and loved it. The campground and staff were awesome. Level site, great hook ups, awesome WiFi and cable. Clean facilities, 3 lakes (one with a fishing pier), 2 dog parks, and super friendly staff. 30 min to Cleveland. Walmart, gas stations and restaurants within 5 miles. Just off Ohio Turnpike, but can't hear it. Definitely recommend this KOA

    West Branch State Park Campground

    Love the Lake!

This state park has a lot to offer with the highlight being a large 2,650-lake that appeals to fishermen, boaters, and swimmers. The park is over 5,000 acres and not only has camping but hiking, volleyball, fishing, playgrounds, picnicking, hunting, horseback riding, and more.

The campground is divided into three loops with nearly 200 sites. Campsites include those with full hook-up (50 amp), electric only (50 amp), and some with no electric. This campground is suitable for everything from large RVs to tents. Sites and roads are paved and each site has a picnic table and fire pit. In loops where there is no water directly at the site, water spigots are scattered throughout. The restroom/bathhouses in our loop were really nice, modern, clean, and had laundry facilities which is a real plus at a state park campground. Campsites can be reserved online up to six months in advance. Since we were here in April, the campground was practically empty and getting a site was no problem. But, if you want one of the 29 full hook-up sites in the summer, you better book early.

We really enjoyed the hiking trails and being able to leave our campsite and be right on the trails. There are approximately 12 miles of hiking trails and an additional 20 miles that are open to horses and snowmobiles. (Be aware that hunting is permitted in certain areas.)

The park is about 15 miles from Cuyahoga Valley National Park which is a fantastic place to explore with a lot going on for the whole family! If you are interested in football, the National Football Hall of Fame is just down the road in Canton. The town of Hudson has a pretty, historic downtown with a fun old soda fountain.

We would definitely stay at this campground again. It was a perfect place to stay while visiting family in the nearby town of Hudson. Loved having a paved site with full hook-ups especially since there was a lot of rain while we were there. The lake was perfect for kayaking and had we been able to stay longer we would have spent more time on the water.

    Great stop for one night

Great campground on the smaller side, so not too much traffic driving around. Our site was gravel and fairly unlevel. Did our best to level it out but still have water collecting to the left. We lucked out and got a pull through last minute.

Water pressure was low. ATT cell coverage was full. Lots of shade so couldn’t use our Starlink internet but the campground internet was great. Even had video camera meetings on it while working in the morning.

Worth noting we were having some rig problems (slide out stuck in) and after calling four local places not one of them returned our calls. Only stayed the one night because we need to move on to get this fixed.

    Big Arbs Campground

    Lots of Hills

The whole campground is on a hill. Most if not all seasonal sites. The area we stayed was mostly the party crowd and didnt seem to respect quiet time. There is a long list of rules most do not follow. And ownership takes no responsibility. We had to ask several times for a picnic table and fire ring.

    Punderson State Park Campground

    Excellent Park & Campground!

We have just returned from our first stay at Punderson and have no complaints! Sites are smallish, but clean, mostly level and well kept, as is the camping area in general. There are NO pull-through sites I am aware of. Had a picnic with nearby family at one of the pavilions… again, neat and clean and well taken care of. Very quiet at night, which is something we look for. Firewood for sale on site was a bit pricey, but that’s to be expected. Only complaint was lack of strong WIFI, but we have our own uplink. Will definitely return!

Guide to Cuyahoga Falls

Cuyahoga Falls campgrounds operate in a region with elevations between 700-1200 feet above sea level, creating varied terrain for campers throughout Northeastern Ohio. Most RV parks in this area maintain gravel pads rather than concrete, requiring leveling blocks at virtually all locations. Winter temperatures frequently drop below freezing from November through March, affecting campground seasonal operations.

What to do

Fishing opportunities: At Kool Lakes Family RV Park, the fishing lake attracts families with children. "Our kids age 4 and 8 fished from sun up Saturday to about noon and then sporadically after that throughout the day. That night we hunted large bull frogs," reports one visitor who stayed at lakeside site A24.

Amish shopping experiences: Located near Berlin, Ohio campgrounds provide access to authentic Amish businesses. A visitor to Scenic Hills RV Park notes, "Centrally located in Berlin, OH. Office staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about local attractions and dining." Many campgrounds are within 5-15 miles of cheese factories, bakeries, and craft shops.

Water recreation: Several parks feature swimming lakes with inflatables. At Woodside Lake Park, one camper mentions, "The swimming pond has inflatables and boat rentals. There's good fishing, and typically lots of activities." Visitors can rent paddle boats, kayaks, and other water equipment directly from campground offices.

What campers like

Clean bathroom facilities: Berlin RV Park & Campground receives consistent praise for facility maintenance. "SPOTLESS bathrooms and I mean SPOTLESS," states one reviewer, adding details about additional amenities like "Sand Volleyball, basketball court, tetherball, corn hole area and playground."

Spacious tent sites: While most parks cater to RVs, tent campers find good options too. At Countryside Campground, a visitor noted, "The 9 tent sites are very large and spacious. It is mostly an established RV Park." These sites include fire rings and picnic tables.

Winter camping options: Evergreen Park RV Resort remains open year-round, unique among Cuyahoga Falls area campgrounds. "We camped here the second weekend in December and had the park mostly to ourselves. There were only 3 other campers there," writes one winter visitor who appreciated the indoor amenities during cold weather.

What you should know

Water quality concerns: Water systems vary dramatically between parks. One camper at Woodside Lake Park reported significant problems: "Iron & sulfur laden well water that is provided in at least half the park. I spent hundreds of dollars trying to filter and clean up the water to no avail." Consider bringing extra filters or bottled water.

Campsite spacing variations: Sites at Chestnut Ridge Park and Campground offer more room than many competitors. "It does not feel crowded, sites were grassy and all utilities worked well," notes one reviewer. Most parks place RVs 15-25 feet apart, creating varying privacy levels.

Reservation timing: Summer weekends book 3-6 months in advance at most parks. Holiday weekends often require reservations up to one year ahead, particularly for lakefront or full-hookup sites. Many campgrounds convert to first-come availability after October 1st due to decreased demand.
