Open & not very busy in late October

Passing through ND in late October and needed a place to stay and this campground worked out well. The folks were accommodating. They don’t take credit cards though. The campground was clean and RV sites graveled and level. The water was turned off due to the recent freezing weather. The associated bar and grill were filled with locals. Bison herd and western novelist Louis L’Amour birthplace near by.

Shaded and quiet

Stayed a night here on a Wednesday and there were only 5 other people. Host said it was going to be full over the weekend. It was very quiet for us. Lots of shade trees. It is not technically “lakeside” but about a half mile walk across the highway to get to the lake. It is well kept. Playground was nice and our kiddos loved it. Would stay here again!

It’s a great place to stop

Perfect little in town camping.

Beautiful large park ringed with camping

We stopped here on the drive through the northern states. Every city park is different and this one is great. There is a really big picnic area. All around the outside edge are campsites. There is water and electric(for higher amp plugs). The restroom is simple but it has a shower- so unexpected!

A high school baseball team was stranded here for a bit. Their bus overheated. At least the town put together a wonderful place to relax while they wait for another ride.

For only $15 the nights stay was perfect. It is a bit warm today but some shade helps.

Note: Sunday evening is lawn mowing day. We bunched up our camp and they came as close as they could. It’s nice to see this so well maintained.

Nice, quiet, clean and cheap

Stopped at this campground on our way across the state.  It was a great place to be for the night.  It was just far enough away from the I-94 and the railroad tracks that we got a quiet night sleep.  Bathrooms were clean, lots of picnic tables although they are in the park, not right next to the campsite.  Hookups available and a great playground for the kids.  Only $15 for the night which includes water and electric.

Great spot for an overnight stay or more.

Nice big pull thru spots. Close to I 94, but the traffic noise isn’t too bad.

Nice well kept campground

It was raining when we arrived so access road muddy! They add added some sand on areas and we had 4 wheel drive! Owner very friendly, stayed an extra day to rest on our across country trip to West Yellowstone!

Super Clean with an Older Crowd

Maticulatly cared for campground, safe, friendly, a nice place to rest, small but pretty walking trail that the kids can bike. Mosquitoes in August.

Jamestown reservoir campground

We spent 43 days here last summer. Well kept campground. Hosts are the nicest people you will meet and extremely helpful. You will have to change sites every 14 days if you are going to be staying a long time. Book early as it is a popular area. Full bathroom with showers. Hosts keep it clean but unfortunately some people are pigs.
