TravelerI don't usually put much stock in reviews about other campers, as you never know who will be there, but as other reviews have mentioned there were a ton of happy noisy kids around, couple of unleashed dogs. It looks like there are 4-5 stunningly beautiful sites in each of the three loops and everything else is jammed in. We were at the end of the middle loop and could clearly see into four neighboring sites. Bathrooms were fine, nothing special but clean. Long waits in the morning- two shower stalls and lots of teenagers. The park has a nice grassy area on the water that's dog-friendly, and a separate little no-dog swimming and paddle boat area. Trails were pretty enough if basic, Park also provided a guide to nearby hiking. Overall a good stop near Bennington but I don't know that I'd make it a destination. This whole region appears to depend on MA and NY tourism, lots of expensive vehicles/campers and price inflation at surrounding stores. Firewood was 30% more per bundle than we're used to, though there were downed trees everywhere.
ScoutNot a good experience. Had a site with a sewer hookup. It was broken. They wouldn’t refund us the difference. The reservation guy gave us an unfriendly response and was blaming everyone but themselves. Won’t return
ScoutThe owners were very nice and accommodating. We had a late night arrival due to multiple delays during the day and they made it very easy to get in and set up. It is a really cute little campground with a pond and surrounded by small mountains/hills covered in trees. We had a full hookup site and everything worked well. Would definitely stay there again if I’m in the area.
TravelerExtremely well kept, spacious sites grounds are for the nature lover. Trails, ponds, boating. From gorgeous tent sites to a class A pull-through, this place has it all. We stayed a week in July Sun- Friday. Only wish they had fish in the ponds.
TravelerThis campground is fairly small with a lot of diversity in campsite size, privacy, and levelness. Our site was right next to another with little in between and our neighbors had a big rig and ran the generator long chunks of the day. The day use area is very nice with grass, shade and beach and swim area though it is a bit too far to walk especially with littles so be ready to drive over there. Rangers provided programming for kids and families on the weekends. Great for kayaking or Stand up paddling.

TravelerI loved this campground especially my site! I stayed at the Basswood lean to site. Private and well kept sites, clean bathrooms, friendly service, gorgeous Mountain View, gave me the real feel of camping outdoors. Quiet, relaxing and peaceful. Will come again!
RangerSpacious sites, hiking trails, biking trails, nice beach and grounds. Fishing, kayak, canoe, paddle boat and paddle board rentals. Theres a nature center with all kinds of information and activities. A large playground. Volleyball and horseshoe pits. Definitely will be returning! Also, bathrooms were always clean and well maintained. Park staff very friendly!
