Best RV Parks & Resorts near Lebanon, MO

CAMPER SUMMARY PRESENTED BYFord

Rustic Trails RV Park outside Phillipsburg offers full hookup RV sites with both 50-amp service and water connections throughout the year. The park features gravel roads and somewhat uneven sites that may require leveling blocks. "The pull through sites were large and easy to set up. Lots of trees for shade. The highway noise was loud but earplugs worked," noted one visitor. Fishing Tales Resort in Lebanon provides full-service sites with water and sewer connections, while Lamplight Lane RV Resort near Waynesville accommodates big rigs with water and electric hookups. Most parks in the region maintain 30-50 foot pull-through sites suitable for larger motorhomes.

Seasonal considerations affect campground availability between March and November, particularly at Osage Beach RV Park which closes during winter months. RV dump stations are available at most locations, though proximity to Interstate 44 means highway noise affects several parks. Cell service is generally reliable throughout the area with most visitors reporting full LTE coverage on major carriers. Many locations allow pets but maintain specific dog-walking areas. The campground roads vary in quality—some parks feature well-maintained gravel while others have narrower access routes requiring careful navigation for longer rigs. Several parks offer on-site amenities including swimming pools, camp stores stocking basic supplies, and propane fill services.

Lake of the Ozarks State Park Campground

Pretty camping area, lake was filthy and smelly

This was a pretty campsite with lots of trees and simple deer trails throughout. Sites are well spread out. The lake itself was filthy and smelly. Lots of trash and rotting fish on the shorelines. The campground website said they had WiFi throughout the campsite, however it was only available at the front office. No cell service. We had planned to stay for a week to school and work remotely, but had to cut our time here short because of no connectivity. If we hadn’t had the need for WiFi, this would have been a fine campground to stay at, as it is centrally located to many sightseeing locations.

Sties were level, kid and pet friendly, quiet campground, 30/50 amp electricity, no water hookups, firewood avail for fire pits, also had nice picnic tables. Inexpensive.

    Fishermans Paradise

    Off the beaten path

For starters the RV park is about 1/4 down a 1 lane gravel road so if you’re pulling a big rig you better hope you don’t meet another vehicle. All the 50 amp full hookup sites seem to be in use by permanent residents. The 30 amp sites are not on level ground. No water or sewer connections for the 30 amp sites. The road also gets a little steep and winding to the 30 amp sites. Nice small lakes make for a nice view once you get into the valley.

    Damsite

    Good fishing and great views

Very peaceful campground. It has a peninsula with some nice, shady sites but also another very wooded area on a bluff. The backside of the peninsula has zero shade (sites 26-40). All sites have good picnic tables and fire rings. Sites near the dump station can be very aromatic. No swim beach but you can access the water straight from the rocky shore. A lot of people tie their boats to shore below their campsite. There is a gas station/trading post right outside the entrance. And a tasty little restaurant with all kinds of sandwiches and ice cream treats. Beautiful sunrises and the sun sets over the dam. I really like this campground. Family friendly and everyone seems to have a dog:) but people do a good job of picking up after them.

    Haven Hollow RV Park

    Wonderful place to stay!

This place is much more like private property (with the bonus of full hookups), than an “RV park”. Everything about this place is A+. Roomy, level, and clean lots. Organized & friendly owners. Great lot amenities (fire pits, picnic tables with umbrellas, well maintained hookups). Beautiful views in very direction (open fields, tree lines, greenery, pond, clear views of sky). Very well maintained & marked grass walking trails throughout the property. Easy to find. Not too far interstate. Easy to back in site. This place was perfect for us & our dogs & our large 36’ fifth wheel while we explored and traveled Route 66.

Doolittle Acres RV Park and Campground

    Nice area

Good area only a mile off the highway so it made a great night stopping point. Had great access for our starlink. They have a little dog park, kids park, and it was all clean and well maintained. Easy access and some nice pull through spots. Water, sewer, and electric hook ups. Fire pit and picnic table at site. Since it’s close the highway it was a little loud with traffic. 57$ a night for premium spots, 42$ a night for non premium

    B Berry Farms & Co.

    Peaceful sleeping

Driving through Missouri needed a quiet place to stay. We stayed at Honey Berry Hideout, it has metal fire ring and grill. The owners were very friendly , informed us amenities , they have coffee pot , small stove to use in a barn in walking distance, bathrooms and showers for small fees. Family friendly with large area for kids to play.

    Laurie RV Park

    Nothing fancy

We stayed here for 3 weeks, full hookups, all large pull through sites, (don’t stay in site 16)… (see photo) clubhouse and shower house is kinda nasty but we don’t need it, 6-8 trailers live there year round, no staff on site, WiFi was sketchy but if you are just looking for a place to stay and explore the Ozarks it works.

    Damsite

    Another amazing COE campground

Another wonderful Corps of Engineers campground on Pomme De Terre Lake. There are basic campsites and campsites with full hookups. The campsites are spacious and overlook the lake. This is such a beautiful, well maintained campground. Every campsite is level and has a picnic table and fire ring. During the off season ( Oct 1 - Nov.30 & March 14th - Apr 14 ) all campsites ( electric and primitive ) are only $10. ( limited amenities) From Jan 5th - March 14th campsites are free at Damsite Park. However, there is no electric or water available at that time.
Please check the Pomme De Terre USACE website for changes and regular season rates. 50% off all rates with America the beautiful/senior access pass at all Corps of Engineers campgrounds.
I highly recommend this campground. 4g LTE and great cell signal.

Guide to Lebanon

Campgrounds near Lebanon, Missouri generally operate throughout spring and fall with some offering year-round accessibility. The region sits in the Ozark Highlands at approximately 1,200-1,400 feet elevation with moderate summers and cool winters. Seasonal thunderstorms occur frequently between May and September, affecting campground road conditions particularly at locations with gravel access routes.

What to do

Fishing opportunities: 8-acre stocked lake at Cross Creek RV Park provides on-site fishing without leaving the campground. "We tent camped on the island for 2 nights. It was awesome, you can fish right off the bank of your own private island within minutes of waking up," reports one camper. The park includes boat rentals and paddle boats for water recreation.

Laura Ingalls Wilder historic site: Located directly across from Laura Ingalls Wilder RV Park in Mansfield, approximately 45 minutes from Lebanon. "Just across the street from Laura ingles wilder museum and home," notes a visitor, making this a convenient base for literary history enthusiasts.

Local craft brewery visits: Some campgrounds offer transportation to nearby breweries. "Friendly staff who will shuttle you to the local craft brewery up the road. We walked to the brewery and stayed here again on our return route," mentions a guest at Rustic Trails RV Park.

What campers like

Private wooded sites: Campgrounds with natural screening between sites receive positive mentions. At Majestic Oaks RV Park & Campground, campers appreciate the natural setting: "Great campground if you need full hook-ups. All the bells and whistles. Clean bathroom, laundry, pool, playground, dog run, hiking trails and firewood that you can actually burn."

Well-maintained facilities: Clean bathrooms consistently appear in positive reviews. "The bathrooms, showers and laundry were immaculate. A true gem," notes a camper at RV Express 66. Another adds, "Although this is adjacent to the Interstate exit, it was excellent and we'd stay there again. The cement pads, clean picnic table and immaculate bathrooms, with separate private showers, were welcome after a long travel day."

Lake views: Some rv parks Lebanon, Missouri and surrounding areas offer scenic water views. "Camp is clean, and very quiet. Best part of this park is you can see the lake from many of the campsites, and the pool. The pool area sits on top of a bluff overlooking the lake," reports a visitor to Riveria Villas & RV Resort.

What you should know

Road conditions vary significantly: Access roads to some campgrounds present challenges. "The road to get in and out of this place is absolutely ridiculous. You can try to go 1mph to avoid potholes or washed out area just to hit the next pothole and washed out area," warns a visitor to Cross Creek RV Park. Other campgrounds feature better maintained but still unpaved roads.

Site leveling requirements: Many campgrounds in the area have uneven sites. "The sites are a bit tricky to navigate and the sites are very unleveled. The staff is difficult to get ahold of and is not around a lot," notes a camper about one location.

Reservation requirements: Some rv parks near Lebanon, Missouri have minimum stay requirements. "The campground itself can only be booked through the campsite and there is a 3 night minimum stay," reports a guest at Riveria Villas & RV Resort.

Highway noise considerations: Proximity to interstate highways affects noise levels at several locations. Cooks RV Motor Park receives comments about this: "Although this is adjacent to the Interstate exit (and therefore more noisy for a Sportsmobile tent camper), it was excellent and we'd stay there again."

Tips for camping with families

Look for campgrounds with dedicated play areas: Several parks offer children's activities. "The kids love the mini golf, shuffleboard, and basketball. Huge private lake great for fishing and watching duck families swim by and come up to you on the grass!" shares a family visiting Cross Creek RV Park.

Consider Halloween events: Seasonal activities provide additional entertainment. "The events around halloween are always so fun for kids and adults alike. They truly put so much work into making it the best experience for their guests," notes a visitor to Majestic Oaks RV Park.

Check for family-friendly bathroom facilities: Lamplight Lane RV Resort receives positive comments about cleanliness. "The campground was a bit small, but very nice and clean. We fit our 42' fifth wheel there though, so most would be fine! The owners & camp hosts were absolutely great!"

Tips from RVers

Call ahead for site size verification: Some campgrounds have limited space despite advertising big rig access. "Convenient to Waynesville and St. Robert. Owners are very helpful and informative," shares an RVer at Lamplight Lane RV Resort.

Check for uneven sites: Many RV parks require leveling equipment. "Gravel roads and sites that aren't very level. It has WiFi, but you have to be close to the main office to utilize it," reports one camper.

Confirm WiFi availability for remote work needs: Some campgrounds offer reliable internet connections. "This was a very nice, clean campground in the city of Osage Beach. We needed a campsite to be able to work and school remotely from and this fit the bill with excellent WiFi that had boosters all throughout the campground," shares an RVer.
