"The campground is small but all the sites are spread out. A simple vault toilet can be found along with a water hand pump. The loop is also directly connected to a cheeky little waterfall trail," reports Kelvin P.
Dark sky stargazing: Winter and fall provide exceptional night sky viewing at several locations. "Great open sky site, next to the water. High winds, but local beach trail and historic town a short walk away with additional trails. We'll be back for the next New Moon!" explains Rob at Fayette Historic State Park.

What campers like
Secluded tent sites with beach access: Waterfront camping with privacy. At Colwell Lake Campground, "Each site on the lake side of the loop has their own access to a path along the lake and a spot to easily tie off a boat. There are paths off the loop so that campers on the other side can access the lake path and the beach," describes Kinni P.
Clean, modern facilities: Many glamping sites near Nahma feature well-maintained bathrooms. "The bathrooms were clean, and the showers were free (and even had warm water). The beach house was stunning. There were many picnic tables and seating. It seemed like a great place, not only for lunch, but for crafts or even a nap," reports Emily M. from Indian Lake State Park.
Proximity to multiple attractions: Central location for UP exploration. "We love this campground! We spent 7 days with friends. The site that we both had were huge. I loved the fire pit. I cook over the open fire and the size and type of ring was great. It had good ventilation which allows the fire to breath," states Devora D. at Camp Seven Lake.
Flat, spacious glamping sites: Room for equipment and activities. At Pioneer Trail Park & Campground, "We parked in a river spot, and it was such a wonderful location, bathrooms right across a field, nice big playground, room for our motorhome, jeep, and hybrid van to charge! Access to fishing right at our site and disc golf across from our camper!" shares Dana K.
