Gorgeous lake, so quiet and peaceful. Campsites are well marked, paved roads and sites. Lots of pull thrus with views of the lake. We were only going to stay a night but made it two instead, wished we could have stayed longer! Great trails and fishing. Would definitely come back!
Let’s start that COVID sucks, a lot is closed due to the CVD but it’s also a holiday week I will add as we celebrate the New Year. During the week it is quiet, and pretty empty. Pet friendly, decent space between spots, all 30/50A cable sewer water hookups.
Have camped here primitively on a quiet small peninsular and loved it, stayed away from the beaches but they look clean and well kept. Super friendly staff, nice tent site, cleared and well away from gen pop.. loved it and can’t wait to get my roof top tent to enjoy it further as a close to home getaway !!
We slept great here in our tent. Some things to consider: lots of trash left around the area, there was a fire still burning unattended when we arrived, car/truck/tractor/boat traffic is noisy at all hours of the day and night, no water for drinking unless you can dip and filter from the creek nearby, the mosquitoes here were insane!
We recently stayed at this RV park and were severely disappointed.
The good: Close to everything. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable of area. Level sites. Reasonable price.
The bad: Nasty bathrooms with no soap or paper ( this is our experience) Super small showers that need updating. A neighborhood dog that decided to bark literally for 5 minutes every 10-15 min from sunset until sunrise.
I would probably not stay here again. I think the management needs to take a little time to upkeep and update the bathrooms/showers.
One of the most beautiful camp sites in LA. The geography here is not like anywhere else I have seen in Louisiana very nice and the owner is super accommodating.
It's a peaceful place to camp. Just make sure you bring all your supplies you think you migt need because there isn't any store for miles.
This is one of the busiest RV campgrounds in South Louisiana. Be sure that you have reservations well in advance. There's a pool with a bar, game room, playground and lake. Small store on site, as well as laundry facilities. Downside is people love to party and be loud. Kids galore, so be careful of them riding golf carts every where! Campsites are pretty level, and concrete. Picnic tables and metal covered areas in the sites around the lake. No shade.
This is one of the nicer ones. We have been 3 summers and have always enjoyed it. Movie theater, small game room, tiki bar, lots of activities and play areas for the kids, and the pools are nice. Fishing in the ponds is fun but don’t expect too much as they are very small. Weekends are very crowded and drinks are expensive but it’s always a great time.
Perfect for families! Many trails for hiking and places to bike. Also fishing galore! The site we had was #12 , beautiful the first day, then the rain came! Our picnic table was under water! Amenities include a playground, basketball court, bath house (which wasn't open due to the Covid virus), water and electricity. 2 dump stations.
