GuideMy husband evacuated here during hurricane season for a couple of days and I drove up to meet him. We love every KOA we stay in, but this was felt very “homey” - the dog park was a plus and their laundry facilities were very affordable!
GuideWe stayed here for one night on our cross country trip. It was clean, well maintained, nice layout and landscaping, great dog park, and friendly service. We had a level pull through with full service with no need to disconnect. Walmart right down the street for replenishing the goods. Great stop over.
LegendWe came here for a quick over night stay. Right off interstate by gas stations and food. We were in a pull through spot, which was level, but barely long enough for our truck and 30 ft camper. Full hookups (bring extra long electric cord!), picnic table, showers, cable, dog park, and extra parking area noted. No fires allowed. With Good Sam our spot was 34.00 which was quite reasonable.
TravelerDid an extended stay here, 3 months while working in the area. The staff is great and very helpful and friendly. The dog park is nice if you have them. Park is well maintained. There are only 2 reasons I couldn’t give them more than 3 stars, 1) on monthly rate they charge for electric which I get but it continued to go up even though outside temps continued to drop so no need for my A/C units. 2) During the last 4 nights of my stay there were multiple times I heard multiple gun fire in the area.
Lots of in and out traffic. I would recommend if your passing through the area and need to stop for a night or two but not long term.
GuideThe facilities were great. Clean and well kept. The site that we stayed at (#34) was too close to the main road and the noise from the cars was so loud, which led to an awful nights sleep. Also there was a cat (seemed like a camp cat) that roamed around all night and that freaked out my dog. The lake itself was fantastic and otherworldly. Absolutely beautiful in early November. Definitely gonna visit again but will not camp here.
ScoutBest camp ground. Very kid friendly and pet friendly. Most of the spots have some of the best views you have ever seen. Wonderful playground for the kids.
