"My grandson and I stayed there in June for 4 days in a 34ft travel trailer in a pull thru long enough not to have to unhook."
"Data T-mobile 5G : lacking ATT: not so hot Verizon: great Visible: pretty good Cricket: ok for voice
Great campground. Plenty of space. Limited monthly residents. Remote but close to town."

"This is a lovely park about 30 minutes south of Colorado Springs. We camped here for 5 nights in a back in spot with full hookups, site 51."
"This was hands down the nicest privately owned rv park/campground we have ever stayed at! The bathroom suites have recently been remodeled and they are so nice! Best shower of our 10 day road trip."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Royal Gorge RV Resort. The new owners were in the process of updating the bathhouse which will look beautiful from what I could see! The sites were level and well-kept."
"We had a great tent spot up on the hill with a great view of the valley behind. So it was a quiet tent spot to ourself, but 30 seconds down the hill foe access to the amazing restroom and showers!"

"There are sites for every type of camper: tent, trailer, RV, glamping and cabins. This is a somewhat small but well maintained private campground with lots of simple amenities."
"The internet and wifi are a bit weak. This only mattered as we are working our way to our destination. The lake and national forest are nearby. The mountains tower over us."
$44 - $51 / night
"Very well run Clean bath and laundry room. Large camp spots with Large shading trees. Excellent WiFi."
"Easy spot over the border in Colorado. We were there as a jump off to head further West from North Texas area and made it well before dark to hook up. Nice clean park with all the amenities."
$40 - $599 / night
"We have an Outlaw toy hauler so we’re so lucky to get a back-in spot overlooking the river. Slept with the back open and fell asleep to the river sounds. Just heavenly!"
"Pull though and back ins. Tent spots and cabins. 30 50 amp. Water and some spots with sewers. Nice office some supplies, showers, laundry. Spot by the river for fishing and or sitting."
Have spent summer 2021 here. A few blocks from all the casinos (they all run shuttles).
Great staff, owners on site daily. There is a food truck (Doc's) with GREAT food, permanently on site. Laundry on site, Shower & bathrooms.
The Cripple Creek Burros (free range about town) are here often. NOTE: the burros like our hummingbird feeders!
Open year round (limited rv sites open through winter)
Hotel on property was once the Cripple Creek Hospital and is "period restored."
I've spent seven summers in Colorado in my rv, Hospitality House and RV Park has been one of the best summers we've had.
32' 5th wheel, 50 amp. Reasonable long term rate.
Convenient location to Cripple Creek CO. Mountain views. Situated on meadow hillside. Hiking trails, full hookups, fire rings with grills, picnic tables. Level sites with many pull thrus. Helpful owners. Sparkling bathrooms. Individual showers. Laundry rooms. Hummingbirds everywhere.
We have visited this park several times, in the summer, spring and fall. The campground provides a nice visitors center, two small lakes (one non-wake), a sand beach, paved and unpaved bike trails, fishing, a kids fishing pond, trails, and electric or no-hook-up camping. The campground is divided into three loops with each loop containing flush toilets and shower facilities. A tent-only campground is situated closer to the highway, while the three loops are far from the road and provide ample star-gazing experiences. Favorite spots include 102 (has a great view of the Spanish Peaks), and site 84 (private pull-through with junipers and other short trees to block the road/other campers). I have attended several ranger programs here and hiked on all trails. Playing on the beach and picnicking is enhanced by the water stations to wash off the sand, benches, picnic tables, and shade trees. Kayaking on the no-wake lake is peaceful and fishing is abundant. Bike riding is simple and mostly flat. A fully paved trail circles the lake and is accessible by the campgrounds. A public, 9-hole golf course sits directly next to the park. The course is inexpensive and fun for an afternoon or morning. If you've exhausted all your options at the park itself, head one hour away to the Great Sand Dunes National Park to "surf" on the dunes and learn about this beautiful area. This park truly has a little of everything and while it is one of the oldest state parks in Colorado, it is well-maintained and enjoyable year-round.
This was a delightful experience for us. There are sites for every type of camper: tent, trailer, RV, glamping and cabins. This is a somewhat small but well maintained private campground with lots of simple amenities. All is the wooded back-in sites have full hook-ups (30A) and there are pull-thru sites (Ithink they are still 30A). The center wooded area is perfect for tents. A small dog park gave our girls the chance to run free for a little. There is a shower house with bathrooms that are well maintained. Trash is kept tidy and didn’t smell even on the 97 degree day. Very easy to access but no road noise (at least not at our site).
We have a 26’ trailer and stayed in site 18. It was near the end of the row and relatively quiet. We only wish we had a longer power cable. (Our next purchase!) Our port is at the back and the outlet was way up front. To reach, we had to set up near the front of the site which limited our parking. Just pointing that out for others who might be ill prepared too.
We were too far away to take advantage of WiFi which is fine, we just wandered up near the office to check our texts once daily. It might be more accessible if you are located closer to the office. No cell service for Verizon. Personally, I was happy to be unplugged for a couple of days!
Although we had a fire ban in effect, we were able to rent a propane fire pit from the office. Be super cautious and check fire restrictions for Custer County. (http://oem.custercountygov.com/firecon.htm)
Aspen Acres has a lot more staff than I expected and they patrolled frequently. Very helpful and friendly.
5 minutes from Bishops Castle and 10 minutes from Lake Isabel ($7 day use fee). Easy drive up from I-25 but fairly steep in spots if that is problematic.
We will stay again!
Maiden voyage with new toy hauler: many full service & large lots, LOTS of family activities (Royal Gorge, Dinosaur Museum, White Water Rafting, UTV Tours, Zip Lines, mini golf, pool, WiFi & large slide on site) & nearby Texas Creek trails for ATV’s. Quiet. Friendly! Helpful. Most are pull through lots. Great place to start for us!
One of few places to camp close to Great Sand Dunes NP in winter months. Electric sites with semi-covered picnic table and fire pits. I think toliet were closed for the season but didn’t try. Colorado hunting/fishing license required for sites
We stayed here the first week o f November 2020. Not all sites were open and the park was not crowded at all. The bathrooms were open and the weather was beautiful. The sites are all pull through and private. We had lots of space behind us to stretch out in. A picnic table was also placed in a space where shade would be provided on a concrete slab. Electric and water at the site and a dump station at the exit.
YES YES YES!! I loved this site it was close to everything I wanted to do and had the remote feeling I was looking for. I was able to visit rainbow Falls ( Graffiti Falls) in Manitou and Seven Falls in Colorado Springs from this site with no problem in the same day.
Sites were simple but had two different options with and without connections. When I was there it was considered winter rates which were $18 for no connections or $28 for full connections.
They do not require a reservation for this campsite and during the winter months are not full at all. I was there during the week and basically had the place to myself . But from what I was told they are very busy during prime months so it is suggested to get a site in advance especially for weekend stay.
This facility is very nice with several really interesting features including conference rooms and an amphitheater which you can rent.
One thing I wasn't expecting was pay showers so when I arrived I forgot to ask about that and had to make sure I had some cash when I returned from my adventures for those. I almost arrived to late for showers to be functioning, during cold weather months well into spring they are cut off for obvious concerns in freezing.
This site was around 20 minutes from Manitou Springs where I saw the Graffiti Falls and only about 10 minutes from Seven Falls. It was located in an area with quick access to Colorado Springs and the many amenities it has to offer in way of shopping and food without being right in the middle of the city.
I would recommend this to anyone who likes boondock style camping but can't find a spot due to the more strict rules in Colorado Springs, it is inexpensive and gives you a place to also have some really great amenities.
TIPS:
Mosca was located inside the San Juan Wildlife Refuge, close to Sand Dunes National Park. Loop A has power, loop B was closed for the season, all covered picnic tables to protect from prevailing wind and sunlight in the summer, fire rings, basketball court and toilets with handicap accessibility available. Loop C was open. Dumpsters and dump station available. 2 bars of T-Mobile with LTE
