Lake Havasu State Park Campground

Decided to rent a cabin for Christmas with some friends. Check in is not until 4 and they make you pay for day use if you arrive earlier. Mind you, the cabins cost like $150 night. And check out is 10am. At 9:45 they started coming around and reminding us we had to leave. 

I had two friends staying in the cabin and I was in my RV. If I wanted to hook up to the power, it was going to be another $30 a night. I'm set up for off-grid, so did not pay that extra fee.

The cabins themselves are nice enough with a double bed and two bunk beds--but there is really no good place inside to sit. There were two chairs and a window sill--but no table to sit around and eat or play card games. There is a picnic table outside, but it was raining this week. 

You are right on the lake. That was nice. Don't think I'd stay in a cabin again here.

Spacious spots with great views. Boat ramp, rentals, beaches, trails, cabins and a wonderful desert garden.

Clean with cold filtered water and no fee showers.

The campground is amazing Nice large sites. Clean and well.maintained The only real draw back is the number of loud power boats on the lake We tried to get a site here about 2 weeks ago we were really fortunate to find a site open for 2 nights mid week 50 amp with wate. Dog friendly.

I ended up staying 3 nights here. The first in the regular paid campground--$50 a night--yikes for water/electric. 

Then I discovered the overflow parking lot. $25 for dry camping. Much better views and you still have access to the park's amenities--showers, potable water, hiking trails, etc. Plus the vibe is more communal. 

For the overflow sites you need to check in at the gate and you're assigned a site. Some of them are flatter than others. Mine was pretty level. 

A big storm rolled in while I was here and it was fun to watch the lighting across the lake. Lots of bunnies and birds. But you are super close to town. Can hear the road noise and sirens at night. Biking distance from the London Bridge and other Havasu attractions.

Ended up staying in the overflow dry camping area for 2 nights. Was nice area. Little noisy but was ok. Worked out for me.

Nice location to be near town. Lots of gravel but good size spots. Boat launch, garden, cabins and beaches.

Park Management is no longer allowing anyone without a self contained vehicle to use the dump station.

Arrived at Lake Havasu State Park on the evening of 1-6-23 to stay one night. The campground was full but they offered me overflow camping (no hookups) for $25 a night. My site ended up being right on the lake/beach and so beautiful. They have clean restrooms (flush) with showers, potable water and dump stations free for guests and close to parks and many amenities. The Park Staff and volunteers were super friendly and we're genuinely happy to help out or answer questions. Needless to say, I booked 6 more days after my one night was finished (7 day limit). I highly recommend Lake Havasu State Park in Arizona!!

The park is very nicely laid out and the site was great. We got kinda lucky cuz the country was shut down due to the flu from China and there was hardly anyone around. Our first trip there was Dec 2020 and most everything was closed, on our 2nd trip in Oct 2022 the place was very busy with snowbirds & all the camps & cabins were booked. Though we liked our first trip we wouldn't return cuz it's just too popular.

This is our 2nd stay at Lake Havasu State Park. We had site C-2 in the cabin loop with W/E. Recommend weekdays if you like quiet camping. We were there Monday thru Thursday with only a couple days advanced resi and had the cabin loop all to ourselves until the last night. Most weekends are booked. As always the park is immaculate with nice personal combo bathrooms & showers. Clean & level tent sites as well. The park staff had huge smiles and waves at the gate every time we returned from our days adventure. Great welcome!

The bathrooms were clean, the campsite was beautiful, there was a beach that was pet friendly. The employees were super friendly.

This park is nice. Right on the water and has plenty of boat launch areas. Can get busy with traffic in the mornings and evenings with all the boats getting launched and pulled out.

Stayed in the cabin loop, cabin 12 “Gila Monster”. Enjoyed the cabin so much we stayed an additional night. Cabins everything you’d want with amazing few of lake. Warm showers and clean bathrooms. Lake havasu is a great place to visit in winter!

We've stayed here several times for the balloon festival. The restrooms have showers in this part of the park. It is dry camping, but they have a dump. Not all of the spots are level.

I didn't have reservations and the campground was full when I got here. But they have an camping overflow lot. For $25 a day you can park right at the beach. No hook ups but there is a bath and shower house, dump station and potable water available.

Made reservations for one of the sites facing the Lake (#40).  Checked in (by giving last name) with a wonderfully nice and helpful staff member.  50 and 30 Amp service along with water hook up.  Even cement pad with a picnic table to the side.  Since it was 112 degrees the 50 foot walk to the waters edge and a quick dip was the refreshing needed.  Wet Monkey boat rentals is located right at the park.  The London Bridge is about 2 miles South.

This is a great location when visiting Havasu City

Camped here  April 28 and stayed for 2 nights. Was very close to home but wanted to test out the new trailer. It's $30 a night for non beach sites and $40 for beach front. The sites are well separated and there are fire rings, cabana and picnic tables at each site. There is also water and electric at all sites, 30 and 50 amp.  Its was very warm the days we stayed and had the A/C on the whole time. There are flush toilets and showers available. Nice hiking trails around the park. The campground staff are all pleasant and they keep the sites and bathrooms very clean. Its even close enough to town that you can walk to many nice restaurants. The beach's are sandy and you have a nice view of the sunset over the water in the evening. There is a dump station for those with holding tanks. All sites are reservable and there are also air conditioned cabins for rent.

Loved this place.... the spots on the beach are 5.00 more but worth it for the view & privacy! My second night was #16 and it was one of the best sites! Pictures speak louder than words. Water & Electric, excellent cell coverage with AT&T. Dump site at top of the hill. Lots of action on the water to watch. I was here in Feb 2021, 65 to 70 degrees. It can get a bit windy, but the sites are well protected for the most part.

We stayed 3 night in our trailer at Lake Havasu State Park campground. We had a beautiful view of of the lake. My kids loved walking down to the shore and swimming throughput the day. We went in Aug and it was 112 degrees but we had a fantastic time. We can’t wait to go again!

Best place to be.

This park is right on the shores of Lake Havasu. You could walk to town but we bike down to shopping and the bridge. Large sites. Very busy so book early!

No frills - gotta like the outdoors it’s hot hot hot !!! Water sport country bring the boat the family have a great time

Enjoy Lake Havasu by being right on the lakeside. What better way to beat the dry, Arizona desert heat. We tented the weekend we camped. We also had hammocks to lounge in during the day when not in/on the water. Nice facilities and an easy way to enjoy Lake Havasu affordably.

The staff were amazing! Incredibly friendly & filled with information. Although there are few trees around they were hammock friendly for those of us that prefer hammocks over tents. It was extremely hot but that is Arizona in summer so it's a huge beni that the campsites are right on the lake yet still close enough to go get food or coffee or anything else we may have wanted from town. Would definitely recommend Lake Havasu State Park for camping!

I used to visit this state park for Spring Break back in the 90's. Lots of people and lots of fun. Plenty of places to put up a tent and relax or party!
