This park is nice. Right on the water and has plenty of boat launch areas. Can get busy with traffic in the mornings and evenings with all the boats getting launched and pulled out.
It’s a popular area but there is plenty of room. The road in can be a pretty ruff so take your time.
Very nice campground. TONS of space and great group sites. Awesome views of the mountains to the NE. Tons of hiking trails and within 30 min drive of major shopping/grocery stores. Big Bear is about an hour away with and awesome drive up the mountain. We hike and off road with our jeep a lot and this was a great base for heading off to do either.
Great place to stay for visiting Tucson and surrounding area. We stayed for a week while visiting Saguaro NP. Cheap with full hook ups. Busy location as they hold rodeos and horse events regularly.
Stayed there for our visit to Joshua Tree. Very nice campground. Tighter spots but enough to be comfortable at your site. The surrounding areas are very nice.
We needed a place to stay for two nights on same day notice. Called them up and they said they could accommodate us. The park itself is very clean with spacious lots. Lots of permanent residents it looks like but they keep the place clean. The roads getting there are tight if your rig is bigger than 35 feet. All in all, a good place to stay.
Nice campground. Very secluded but with great views of lake Lanier. Sites are pretty small with not a lot of room but they do ok. Could be bigger but the land doesn’t really allow it. Sites are all paved and the have pull through and back in
This park is very new and super clean. The sites are all paved fairly large and level with most having great views of Lake Lanier. Some better views than others. Bathrooms and showers are always clean. There is plenty of room to have a good time with friends and family and has lake access as well. Margaritaville is only 5 minutes away and has a huge water park for the kids.
Loved staying at this campground. It came recommended by friends that live in Jacksonville. I would highly recommend staying here if your looking to come to Jacksonville. It’s less than a mile walk to the beach and has tons of other hiking/running and biking trails. The campground is quite and pretty private. The sites are great and they have a variety of lot sizes. They also keep the place very clean.
