Family owned and operated park in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Conveniently located between Austin, San Antonio, Boerne, and New Braunfels, minutes away from the Guadalupe River and Canyon Lake, there is no shortage of things to see and do nearby!
Has some great fishing. If you don’t have time to go to the coast but love fishing for reds this is a nice spot to come to. Camping sites allow for both RV hook ups and tent camping.
the staff are very friendly, always a great time here. You have multiple options on where you can camp you can have rv hook ups and primitive campsites as well all along the river area lots of shade spots as well.
Alamo Fiesta RV Resort has all the things you might be looking for for an overnight stop over. There is a pool, a store, laundry, etc. The staff are friendly and helpful. A large percentage of the trailer spots seem to be occupied by long-term residents, who are friendly enough, but I felt self-conscious as a more prosperous vacationer. My parking spot was closer to Interstate 10, so there was highway noise. Ask if a space farther away from the highway is available when you check in.
This rv resort plays up the RESORT aspect. It’s near perfect.
Right off the highway, safe (gated entry), well kept, pretty.
The owners do a great job of contacting you with all the instructions and help you might need before you even arrive. There are bath houses, a pool, and even a playground for kids.
The spots are gravel ( a little unlevel due to the slight hills) but perfectly spaced with full hook up.
We had a quiet, peaceful Stu. Will absolutely come back!
Located only 9 miles from popular, South Congress and downtown Austin this resort is right off the interstate but nestled in between bushes and trees that offer a sense of privacy. Each site feels spacious and comes with its own picnic table and full hook-ups.
The showers and bathrooms are private and very clean. There are plenty, so there always seems to be at least one available no matter what time of day. The pet area is spacious and clean and has benches. There is a nice laundry room, children’s playground and pool for guests to enjoy as well. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Austin Lone Star RV Resort.
Overall I like this park. It's away from the interstates and expressway, but close enough to run and get supplies whenever you need. It is a bit noisy, but nothing too bad. My only real gripe is that the septic connection at my spot is at the same height as my RV connection - no matter what I do, I can't get it to have a slope. Most sites are better, but the connection at all of them is raised up about 6". The other thing I'm not happy about is the price ($250 a week). It's a bit steep, but it is a gated area (resort is a bit of stretch). There are a lot of long-term/permanent guests here, and they do make the place look unkempt. I still give it 4 stars, but they need to clean it up a bit. I've stayed in real RV resorts, and for the same money, I've seen better.
We loved the quiet and peace of this RV Resort nestled in Texas Hill Country.
The Park: they have a large pool area with cafe and snacks. The property is large and spaces are spread out through out the park. The big draw is the Guadalupe River, Canyon Lake, and the woods and hills.
They have hot shoes, bath houses, laundry.
The sites: Gravel and mostly level, very few sites were unlevel. You’re surrounded by hills so it is nice and quiet. They are full hook up sites. Each site had a fire ring and picnic table. Small deer herds would move through the park each evening. Many of the campers feed them corn and they know the sounds and come running out of the hills.
The campground is near grocery and hardware stores. Within an hour are several bigger towns with more stores.
Cellular: T-Mobile was decent but not great. They do have Campground WiFi that worked faster.
Medina Lake Thousand Trails RV Park is an awesome campground with large sites and lot of nature! There are trees and shade and it is along Medina Lake shores. The lake was dried up during our stay, but it was still beautiful views all around. They have 30 & 50 amp hook-up sites. Not all have sewer connections, but there is a dump station on site. There are tent sites, also. There are lots of amenities such as a huge pool, playgrounds, dog runs, restrooms, laundry, trails, boat launch, community center, games, basketball, pickle ball, mini golf, and so much more! Fun for the whole family. This campground does have a lot of deer around. We really enjoyed this park and the smell of nature here.

Most RV "resorts" we've come across are just parking lots where everyone is stacked on top of each other. We were very surprised at the spacing here. You could fit another RB in between us and the next person. Plus, the trees and bushes make it feel more natural.
Staff greeted us, and took us to our spot even though we arrived several hours before check in. Very easy access to downtown Austin, about a 15 minute drive.
Full hookups. Extremely clean, well maintained and updated. Most spots are pull through, with a few back in spots on one side.
Nice laundromat. AND... they have a propane service where you just put your empty tanks behind your rig, they come pick them up and fill for you and just put it on your tab like having a hotel room. Super cool...
It is right next to I-35, and you can hear the highway noise. But overall, not bad.
Friendly, hospitable customer service with great communication up front and during stay. The RV park is very clean. Free Wifi works great and good speed! Great cell service as well. Convenient trash and recycle cans on site. Our site had Full Hookups with the option of 30 or 50 amp. Shady spot, spacious and very level site which made backing in much easier! Asphalt drive through campground and wide spots. Reservations can be made over email or phone. The cicadas were in the trees and"sang" us to sleep. It's right off the highway and we were 3 spots to the highway. Even then, the road noise was not terrible. The turn into the park is directly off of 281, so a good idea to slow down ahead of time! We will definitely stay here again when we are in town.
I recently stayed at Blazing Star Luxury RV Resort and was thoroughly impressed. The resort itself is beautifully maintained, with Buckshot Roulette spacious, well-maintained RV sites and stunning Texas Hill Country views.
Nice RV resort with river access. Close to the town of sattler. Prices are good. And there is lots of space for the kids to run.
This is an excellent place to stay if you want to check out San Antonio as it is in town and there is a bus stop which the park gives you a schedule for.
This RV park has everything you want and then some. Laundry room was great with lots of machines. There is also a heated pool and hot tub, excellent clean showers, gym and yoga, mini golf, TV/activities room and small store in the office that has a few RV necessities like sewer parts and also some souvenirs. They also have bulk propane they can fill on board tanks.
The lady when checked us in was very nice. The place is expensive though! We had a back in spot with full hook ups $65/night. We came here because it was 1 mile to my friend’s house and were expecting a Passport America discount but they said they do not currently offer that discount. The expense was worth it for convenience of being so close to downtown San Antonio but we only stayed the one night. The park also offers cabins. Good cell reception ATT and Verizon.
We had an amazing stay at Alamo Fiesta RV Resort! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, Retro Bowl College with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
Jake from the Dyrt here! I would love to welcome Canopy Luxury RV Resort to the Dyrt, they have huge open sites to make your arrival and departure easy and stress free. Check them out and make sure to share the pictures you take of the greenbelt on your trip!
Why we booked: We wanted to check out Austin and prefer park campgrounds to RV resorts in general. Having hookups meant we could take our time and stay awhile, especially at the price.
Campground: A well-maintained campground with a mix of nomads, retirees, and families. Just about what you'd expect from a solid state park campground.
Quirks: Late check-in can be a bit tricky. Solar might not always be easy. I've heard the park gets mobbed by day-use in the summer.
Site: 20 in the Big Oak loop was just right for us. Lots of Carolina Wrens! Easy in and out with our 27' travel trailer and F250.
Nearby: Hiking trails, the Lower Falls, and the Onion River are all nearby. It's not super feasible to bike, as you're out a ways from most amenities, but car access to pretty much anything you need.
Value: Unbeatable.
Honestly, the price wasn't too bad. Gated community with concierge service to your site. Most sites had some degree of shade and a decent amount of privacy. The pool and shower facilities are very nice and clean. The 2 dog parks (split into 2 sections each for small and large...so 4 dog parks) really helped keep our dogs entertained. Great rotation of food trucks and activities for kids. 100% recommended for a RV Resort stay.
It is almost exactly what you’d expect and want. A pricey place to stay, but very close to downtown San Antonio with all the amenities and services you would expect to find and a high end RV resort. Laundry, a dog park, free WiFi, large paved roads and well spaced sites. Showers were in great shape and staff were incredibly friendly. If you have the cash and want to be close to downtown, this is the place!
Although we only stayed for a short time, we like this campground and will go back if we're in the area again. The staff is nice and the park is nice and clean. The park seems crowded due to people camping there on a long term basis.
Campground is a great place to stay to explore Borden, The Hill Country and San Antonio. Super quiet, many long term residents. Pool looks extremely clean.
Note.. as of 3/18/21 construction is still happening. Front office will give you the best way to enter park.
This campground(CG)/RV resort has exceptional customer service. We were on a waitlist to add another day to our reservation. They proactively called us back about a month later to let us know they could accommodate another night’s stay. We followed the website instructions to come in so we could take a right turn into the RV Resort, which is a 1/4 mile from the golf course entrance. A very short rig could take a left turn. The gate was down so we called the number listed on the gate and we were let in for a very pleasant check-in. We were assigned pull-through site 406 with FHUs. There’s a slope off the front of the site, so I needed to center the rig on the level part of the cement pad. By doing this I needed 20’ of sewer hose to get from my rear black tank to the sewer. The CG was quiet with no kids running around as this is a 55+ CG. The guest internet was below average for a park this size, but we have Starlink. We got 3 bars on Verizon. Most of the campers here were seasonal with license plates from CO, MN, and WI. Several of the campers we talked to didn’t golf and came here to get away from cold weather. We did not see any overnighters during our four-day stay but this CG is fairly far from the San Antonio area interstates. CG was well-kept with no junky sites. They have a laundry room, but a couple of machines were not working. The sites were decently spaced and very long. Many reviewers called the sites spacious. The sites were not as far apart or as large when compared to many of the State Parks or Corps of Engineers CGs we’ve stayed. Get pizza from Luigi's Italian Restaurant in nearby Castroville as it’s in the top 5 pizzas we’ve had as we traveled through all lower 48 states. We enjoyed our stay, including playing their challenging golf course, and would definitely return.
Easy way to see San Antonio with a bus stop right outside to take you to Riverwalk and other sites. Bus is safe, inexpensive and runs often. Park has many long term residents but well kept. Sites adequate. Some trees but they dropped pods everywhere.
Stagged were very helpful and friendly, full of great information.Did not use amenities.
You don't get a much nicer RV park than this in a major city. It hits all of the marks: mass transit at your doorstep; pool, laundry, showers and a gift shop at the entrance; easy pull-through, level sites; picnic tables at each site; quaint southwestern style! This is a nice park for the overnight or the long stay, and it has easy access to major highways.
This is a beautiful and huge camp ground with lots of nature to admire. The camp sites are spacious and feel very private, yet you don't feel alone with other campers nearby you. We had a stunning full hook up camp site with a climbable tree and took a hike to the waterfalls! There's lots of hiking trails that go really far, if you have the time. Definitely recommend!
Have been here for a month and when we arrived on November 20th we were assigned to site 70. It's in the main park but down in smaller area where there are a few others that are long term residents. Site 69 is really close but that person is gone most of the time. It is a nice place and it does have an exercise room and a rec area for different events the park has throughout the month. Laundry and a gathering place called the watering hole which has a fireplace inside! The only downfall is the traffic on hwy 281! A very busy hwy with hwy 290 going east to Austin, TX. No hiking trails on site. Office has a few items available but no ice or snacks. Closest place would be north to Johnson city or south to Blanco. Austin is about 30 miles east.
We stayed 2 nights as a stopover for our westward travels. We were a little concerned when we arrived because it is nestled in a run down part of town. Boy, we were wrong. Very secure, clean, and quiet stay. Level sites. Some paved, some on gravel. Full hookups, laundry, and a pool on site. They have a lending library of movies and knowledgeable staff. Will definitely stay here again.
We were lucky enough to discover this RV park/resort on The Dyrt app the first weekend it was open, during a busy time (the April 8 Eclipse) when many other places were full. As it turned out, this was our favorite RV park during our 10-day trip in a rental RV for several reasons. First, the pool! As you can hopefully see from my pictures, this place has an incredible pool for almost any place, but especially for an RV park. It's heated, has plenty of seating, and there's a swim-up bar under the canopy. Second, it's brand new and they've thought of almost everything I'd want/need in an RV park. I know it might be RV specific, but one little thing I noticed that speaks to their attention to detail was the layout and spacing of the hookups. In many places we stayed, the clean-water spigot would be in a place where my hose had to cross the sewer hose and/or the electrical cord. Here, things were spaced out and in the order I needed so as not to have to cross anything. Third, all the available amenities were in great condition and seemed very spacious--the bathrooms and showers are clean and huge, the laundry facility, when finished, looks like it'll be much bigger than anything else we saw on our trip, and the clubhouse/office/restaurant was also spotless and could seat dozens at a time. Finally, the owners/operators were always on site and available to answer questions and did things like invite everyone to the firepit for s'mores each evening (I don't imagine that will go on indefinitely, but it was a nice way to meet everyone else at the park when it was just opening). Would definitely recommend this place without hesitation.
