Best RV Parks & Resorts near Millersburg, OH

Tent camping is available in the Millersburg area. Berlin RV Park & Campground offers full hookup sites with 50-amp service from April through December, accommodating larger rigs on gravel pads. Scenic Hills RV Park provides water, electric, and sewer connections on spacious sites that operate seasonally from April to November. "Sites in C-loop are far enough apart to not feel too crammed together," noted one visitor about a nearby state park. Timbercrest Camp & RV Park features big-rig friendly sites with 50-amp service and operates April through October, though sites are positioned relatively close together. Evergreen Park RV Resort stands out with year-round availability and concrete pads that several reviewers mentioned were particularly level and well-maintained.

While most parks in the region offer full hookup capabilities, dump station quality varies significantly. A visitor commented that "the dump station here is set up for emptying totes - not much room to park a trailer/RV for dumping at it." Cell service is generally reliable throughout the area, with AT&T providing sufficient coverage for streaming in most locations. Pet policies are consistent across most parks, though weight or breed restrictions may apply. Winter camping options are limited primarily to Evergreen Park, which maintains an indoor pool and recreation facilities during colder months. Several parks position sites near water features, though this occasionally results in flooding during heavy rain periods. Reservation requirements become more stringent during Amish Country tourism peaks in summer and fall.

    Amish Country Campsites

    Amish campsite

Very small campgrounds literally next to if not part of a corn field extremely cramped back if our camper was 2ft from the camper behind us and 15 ft from the campers left to right. When we left we had to knock on camper doors to ask folks to move their cars so we could pull out of out parking spot. The other campers were very nice lots of local folks they were fun to talk to. The camp site did have clean showers. Hot water. And. Clean restroom facilities. The dump station isn’t the best it is on a hill so dumping ones waste tanks completely could be a challenge The owners were polite but short The sites aren’t the best the electric is only 30 amp. And very dated they did have water hookups at each site. I didn’t take any pictures as there wasn’t anything to see at the campground other than campers packed in like sardines It is close to town and the shops. Everything closed at 5:00 including gas stations As they say any port in a storm. So as a last resort I guess it’s is okay. Just don’t plan to leave after 5:00 pm unless you have a full tank of gas. No ada camp sites. They are pet friendly

    River Trail Crossing

    Nice little campground

River Trail Crossing is privately owned, small campground (which we like) but nice and quiet. Sites include tents, small rigs and large pull through sites for big rigs. Sites located on the river are water and electric. Sites off the river have 50 amp and 30 amp. State route 95 runs to the right of the campsite so if you reserve any sites on the river (right side) you will have some traffic noise from the bridge. We reserved spot 32, farthest site to the right on the river. We loved it. The river was only about knee to hip deep. Most family’s floated with tubes and saw some kayaks. Not much for fishing at this particular section of the river. There is a paved bike/walking trail behind the campground - B&O trail. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. They do have 2 dumpsites available. We really enjoyed this campground, owners were very friendly and offer firewood and propane if needed. Mohican state park is only 10-15 minutes away which is really nice for hiking and fishing as well. We will be back!

    Atwood Lake Park Campground

    Incredible!

The Atwood Lake Campground is a true gem in a beautiful area of eastern Ohio! We’ve visited the Atwood region many times in the past but have never camped - but after this visit we’ll be back for sure. The campground is relatively new, with the campground area being completely revamped beginning in 2017. There are two overnight camping areas with seasonal sites in a separate section; we stayed in “Camp H” which is the newest area. There is a huge bathhouse with two sets of men’s and women’s restrooms and shower facilities along with a very nice laundry area. Adjoining the bathhouse area is a beautiful pavilion and children’s playground - all of which overlooks Atwood Lake. The campsites are nicely spaced though if you’re in the inner loop as we were or even some of the outer ring sites you’ll be looking right into your neighbor’s site. All sites are FHU on level concrete pads and include a metal picnic table and fire ring. If needed there are two very well equipped dump stations if you prefer to use them instead of the sewer connection at your site. Many sites are on cul de sacs directly on the lake with docks and fishing areas adjacent to the campsites. Lots of hiking trails, paved bike paths, a swimming beach and restaurant are in a nearby area. We loved the campground and will return soon!

    Salt Fork State Park Campground

    Great fall camping

Dated, but pretty clean bath\shower building with clothes washer and dryer ($2). Sites in C-loop are far enough apart to not feel too crammed together. Power pedestal has 20, 30 and 50 amp service. 30 amp worked fine. Lots of trails, allowing dogs on leash. True, other amenities are a drive of at least a couple miles to get to. ATT service was fine for streaming using ROKU and my phone as a hotspot. Paved, level pads, but not long enough for largest trailers. Check size if you have one. Sites at South end of loop get the most shade

    Mohican State Park Campground

    Winter Time But No Snow

We stayed on a full hook up site (turned off for the season) that had a nice concrete level pad. There was also a nice side pad that kept our chairs clean. A little further back in the campground to be close to the shower house that was open. Then found out that comfort station next to us was open - nice! Also close the water which was full and rushing all weekend.

The camp store was open on the weekend and the staff was nice to chat with. They had wood, but it was slab cut which doesn’t burn very well. We decided against it. Lots of snacks and other items still available.

Some sites were really close to the water, almost too close as the water flooded a few spots. The campground is nice to walk if you like to get in a little workout. They also have small camper cabins and them much bigger cabins which a few are pet friendly.

We went on a hike by the covered bridge to one of the waterfalls. Lots of trials to choose from.

    Cardinal Center Campground

    First camping trip 2020

This was our first camping trip after purchasing a new to us fifth wheel camper. We chose the Cardinal Camping Center because it was only 15 miles from our home. We arrived on Thursday afternoon registered and set up at our site. Staff was very friendly and helpful, we shared some fresh veggies from our garden as we had way too much for just us and asked the welcome center to tell people to help themselves to what ever they wanted. we then toured the campgroundand found the stocked fishing lake (catch and release) the indoor swimming pool. The camp also has some very nice cabins, no restrooms in the cabin but they are very close to the public restrooms and shower house. We then went over to the shooting center and tried our luck with some silliolet and metal targets on the pistol range. Thy also have trap and skeet available.

Our site had ful hook-ups 50 amp service with sewer and water picnic table and fire ring for $44 a night. All of the people next to us were very nice and everyone respected each other's sites.

I would go back to this campground again, we even extended our stay an extra day because we had such a good time.

    Big Arbs Campground

    Lots of Hills

The whole campground is on a hill. Most if not all seasonal sites. The area we stayed was mostly the party crowd and didnt seem to respect quiet time. There is a long list of rules most do not follow. And ownership takes no responsibility. We had to ask several times for a picnic table and fire ring.

    Wolfie's Campground

    Clean and very well maintained

A clean park with about 45 sites total. Some are long term while others for shorter stays. They also have cabins and tent sites.

Nice pool, 1/2 court basketball court, playground, laundry and store.

They only challenge is you don’t want to meet a rig going out while you’re coming in. We are a 38 foot class A and met a 36’ 5th wheel on the curve at the entrance. We literally passed with less than an inch between us and I am pretty sure the 5th wheel went partially of the road.

But nice campground; quiet and clean.

Guide to Millersburg

Seasonal RV camping near Millersburg, Ohio offers access to the rolling hills and farmlands of Holmes County, with elevations ranging from 900-1,200 feet above sea level. The area experiences four distinct seasons with summer temperatures averaging 75-85°F, while spring and fall typically bring mild weather ideal for outdoor activities. Most campgrounds in the region operate from April through October, though winter camping options exist with varying levels of accessibility during snow conditions.

What to do

Kayaking and canoeing the Mohican River: Located about 30 minutes from Millersburg, Mohican Adventures Campground and Cabins offers river access for water activities. "We took advantage of their seven mile canoe trip which was rich with scenery and again, given the time we had chosen to go, we enjoyed much solitude on the river which took about 2.15 hours to traverse in our canoe," reported one visitor.

Fishing at multiple stocked ponds: Kokosing River Campground provides accessible fishing areas with various catch opportunities. A camper noted, "Beautiful lake, nice and quiet. Lots of waterfowl." Another mentioned, "Kayaking on the lake is great. Camp staff very friendly and helpful."

Local Amish experiences: Berlin RV Park & Campground serves as a strategic base for exploring Amish culture. "The campground is right in the middle of Ohio's Amish country with easy access to shopping and food and other great experiences like the large cuckoo clock in Sugar Creek," one camper shared.

What campers like

Clean, well-maintained facilities: Evergreen Park RV Resort receives consistent praise for cleanliness. "The indoor pool is great for enjoying a swim even in January and the bathrooms and showers are spotless and very private," noted one reviewer. Another stated, "The game room was nice as well as the indoor pool."

Concrete site pads for easier leveling: Several campgrounds feature improved site surfaces. "We enjoyed 2 nights in this well maintained park. We had difficulty leveling one night in lot 3 but traded to #4 the next night and did fine," shared one visitor at Berlin RV Park.

Family-friendly recreation options: Whispering Hills Jellystone RV Park offers diverse activities. "Great activities including mini golf, pool, jumping pad and frisbee golf. Cabins and RV spots available and the staff is friendly, grounds are clean and nicely kept," explained one camper.

What you should know

Varying site spacing: Campground density differs across the region. "Sites in C-loop are far enough apart to not feel too crammed together," noted a visitor about a state park campground, while at Evergreen Park, one camper observed, "Very clean and nice campground. The only negative for me was the campsites are very close to each other."

Seasonal water levels: River conditions fluctuate throughout camping season. "We did not kayak the river because there were just too many people on the river, the water was low due to lack of rain this summer," reported a July visitor at Mohican Adventures.

Dump station configurations: River Trail Crossing and other campgrounds have specific dump station setups. "They do have 2 dumpsites available. We really enjoyed this campground, owners were very friendly and offer firewood and propane if needed," noted one reviewer. Another campground visitor mentioned having to back up to the dump station rather than pull through.

Tips for camping with families

Water activities for various ages: Multiple campgrounds offer kid-friendly water features. "My boys were able to walk across the road to get to the pond that was well stocked with fish. It was catch and release but they were very excited to pull in some big ones," shared a parent who stayed at Whispering Hills Jellystone.

Designated play areas: Look for campgrounds with dedicated recreation zones. According to a Berlin RV Park visitor, "Lots to do for kids: Sand Volleyball, basketball court, tetherball, corn hole area and playground."

Indoor options for rainy days: Wally World provides indoor recreation when weather doesn't cooperate. "This is a great family campground with many well maintained amenities and activities. The entire campground is well taken care of and their maintenance crew is beyond amazing!" noted one family.

Tips from RVers

Hookup placements: Be prepared for varying utility connection layouts. At Scenic Hills RV Park, a visitor observed, "The one and only issue is that water and electricity is located in the rear area of RV, while sewer connections are toward the front. I personally used 50' of water line and 30' of sewer line."

Site leveling considerations: Some campgrounds require additional equipment for proper leveling. "Our site was a perfect mix of trees, shade, and space," mentioned one RVer, while another noted about Mohican Adventures, "The only complaint is that the sites are not flat."

Road access warnings: GPS directions may lead large rigs down inappropriate roads. "Getting here proved to be tricky, as it seems all of the GPS apps and my Garmin routed us on a county road that is not fit for RVs of any type," warned one Wally World camper, who advised, "If your GPS says to take ANY township roads, just don't. They are not paved, steep, and/or have sharp turns."
