KOA Campground Shelby accommodates pets at all site types including tent, RV, cabin, and glamping options. Most campgrounds near Willard require dogs to be leashed and under control at all times. Findley State Park Campground, open year-round, provides designated pet-friendly cabins with specific cleaning protocols to minimize allergens. Freedom Valley and Indian Trail Campground maintain clean facilities where pets are welcome. The heated swimming pool areas are typically off-limits to pets, with dedicated pet exercise areas available instead. Many seasonals at campgrounds appreciate the consistent pet policies maintained year after year.
Cleveland/Sandusky Jellystone Park offers a fenced dog play area for off-leash exercise, though the pet-friendly amenities have reportedly declined since ownership changed in 2021. Milan Travel Park provides convenient highway access for travelers with pets, situated just 15-20 minutes from Cedar Point. Most campgrounds enforce quiet hours beginning at 10 PM, when excessive barking becomes a violation of campground rules. Nearby veterinary services can be found in Sandusky, approximately 30 minutes from Willard. Crystal Rock Campground and East Harbor State Park Campground both feature waterfront access where leashed dogs can enjoy shoreline walks. During summer months, early morning or evening walks are recommended to avoid hot gravel roads and campsites that can damage paw pads.

"Beware, the sites are close to these roads and quite shallow, but because each road dead ends in a cul de sac, traffic is very light, even when the campground is full, as when we visited."

"Swimming Pool and trails to ride the golf cart. Activities on the weekends."

Nice park, two fenced dog parks. Bathrooms were clean.
We have never had a bad site at Delaware, rowdy neighbors on occasion but the park itself and the site are great. Lots of hiking trails, stocked fishing pond for kids, disc golf, dog park and the lake itself.
Site 187 this trip.
This campground has everything you could want. Kids areas, swimming pond and pool, dog park area and pleasant employees. Will definitly be going back soon!
Whispering Hills Jellystone is a great location for family fun. I can not say enough about how accommodating and helpful the staff was during our visits. There is plenty of activities for families and the dog park was a bonus.
This is about our 5th or 6th trip here. It’s close to home, but more importantly it has great trails and wooded sites.
Winter camping has several sections of the park closed, only 1 shower house open and no camp hosts or camp store.
In the summer this park has a marina , beach , several playgrounds , disk golf and a dog park.
The only negative this about this park is it is prone to flooding and the sites can get really muddy.
This campground has been wonderfully updated! The owners have added in an additional playground, dog park, newly paved roadways, newly redone building, a new pavilion, fire pit, and boat parking! We love camping here every chance we get! It is convenient to the turnpike and Cedar Point is just a few miles away!

This is a test area on the Ohio Turnpike. Rv owners can self pay $20 to stay overnight. Quiet area away from the semis and common parking lot, but super close still to the plaza. The plaza offers 5 restaurants and vending machines, a gift shop, and clean restrooms. Sufficient area to exercise pets.
