Best RV Parks & Resorts near Grover Hill, OH

Several RV parks provide full-hookup options within 30 miles of Grover Hill. Arrowhead Lake RV Park & Campground offers 30 and 50-amp electric service, water, and sewer connections on gravel pads suitable for larger rigs. River Trail Campground II features 260 sites with water, electric, and sewer hookups, operating from April through mid-October. The sites at Ottawa Metro Park Campground include water and electric connections with 30-amp service, though reservations are not accepted. "The pull through area is very cramped; more like a parking lot; the campground is quiet; family friendly; no golf carts all over," noted one visitor about a nearby state park.

Most RV sites throughout the region provide basic amenities including picnic tables, fire rings, and trash collection. Dump stations are available at several parks, though some campgrounds like Arrowhead Lake and Woodbrige offer full sewer hookups at individual sites. Cellular coverage varies across the area, with stronger signals near larger towns. While many campgrounds welcome pets, specific restrictions may apply. Pull-through sites are limited at some parks, particularly during peak summer months when advance reservations are recommended. A recent review mentioned, "The sites are tight but do provide water and 30 amp electric," highlighting the sometimes compact nature of group camping areas. RV storage is generally not available at campgrounds in the area.

FHU sewer connection at the back of the campsite so bring the looooong stinky slinky FHU loop D had tiny toilet building, but no showers; showers were in non-FHU loops

    Blue Water Campground

    Our stay at bluewater

The staff is extremely friendly, and try to accomadate with anything you could need. The campesites are fairly large with gravel pads. They offer water and electric hook-up for 30&50 amps. There is not a sewer hook up but they do offer a weekly pump out for a small fee and a dump station on the way out. The pool, ponds, playground and pavillion are all within walking distance from almost any site.

Arrowhead Lake RV Park & Campground

Just a visit to check it out

The pool looked to be the spot for the kids of all ages on this hot 4th of July. A well manicured campground, and while looking a bit narrow, it seemed some pull thrus for big rigs were adequate, with concrete pads and picnic tables. But all the driveways and pull thrus were gravel. Lots of seasonal trailers, and some large ones! No junk, and golf carts are restricted to electric.

    Harrison Lake State Park Campground

    Quiet place to get away

We have been here a few times. Really enjoy the secluded sites and the lake. It’s a small campground but it’s clean and quiet. Most sites don’t have water hookups but they do have electric. There isn’t much to do outside of the campground but there is a nice lake with canoe and kayak rentals. Very pet friendly and even has a dog beach.

    Adventure Bound Pleasant View

    Wagner Subscriber Campout

We stayed at this campground in the group camp area. The sites are tight but do provide water and 30 amp electric.

The campground offers a pond for fishing , swimming pool , bounce pad , inflatable lake fun, dog park and mini golf.

Since we were there as a group event we didn’t use any of the extras but it all looked nice and clean plus lots of fun.

Cell coverage was spotty but you could usually get some kind of signal.

The campground has a lot of seasonal sites as well as primitive tent camping and standard rv sites.

    Indian Lake State Park Campground

    Nice place but crowded area

This was our last camping trip of the year and it was cold. The campground was nearly empty so that was nice but the surrounding area was very crowded. There was nearly no area on the lake that didn’t have houses. The campground was clean and well maintained. There are sites that have access to get out on the water via a small canal. Some sites had good shade, and others had no shade. Overall it was a nice place, but the lake seemed very busy, even in cold weather.

    Indian Lake State Park Campground

    Camping for families with children

This is definitely a campground for families and for those who want lots of company in there experience. There are no wooded areas in the campground so all spaces are open to all the other camper. Some shaded areas but mostly open land. Lots of activities for kids and families and even movies and music on the weekend.full power both 30 and 50 amp at almost all site and strong wifi where I was.lots of things going on up until about 10 pm. Then it quiets down. Nice place for families who want outdoor activities.

    Sauder Village Campground

Nice Campground with Lots of Amenities

Really enjoyed this campground for the short amount of time we were in the area visiting family The park and facilities were very clean, sites were well-spaced, there is a nice walking/biking trail, and had full hook-ups.  This campground is associated with Historic Sauder Village – a living history destination in northern Ohio. (You can get discount admission to the village if you stay in the campground.) The campground filled up on the weekend but emptied out on Sunday. The RV sites are long, level, and have either 50 amp full hook-up or water and electric only. Tent sites are scattered along the pond which made for a nice view; except, the ridiculous number of geese meant there was poop everywhere along the shoreline and throughout the tent section. Staff does haze the geese but it was not enough to keep them away during the afternoon.

A fee is charged to enter the historic village or you can ask for a “shoppers pass” and visit the stores inside the village. Located on the grounds (and within walking distance of the campground) is a restaurant, bakery, gift shop and hotel (which has an indoor pool, hot tub, and game room campers are allowed to use). The restrooms, laundry, and showers were very clean and relatively new. Other amenities include basketball, shuffleboard, horse shoes, splash pad, volleyball, corn holes, lake for fishing, and free WiFi. There are a couple of covered group picnic areas available for anyone to use which is nice if you have a big group wanting to get together.

The campground is about four miles south of the Ohio Turnpike (I-80/90) which is pretty convenient if you are just passing through and looking for a place to stay overnight. The town of Archbold is pretty small but does have a decent grocery and restaurants. The nearby town of Bryan is larger and has a really funky brewery/restaurant housed an old church (Father Johns).

Noise considerations: Check campground layouts when booking with children. One camper at Woodbrige Campground mentioned being "two sites away from the pavilion and the band the campground provided going well past quiet hours" affected their stay.

Tips from RVers

Site spacing: Ottawa Metro Park Campground offers well-designed RV sites. "The sites are well spaced and beautifully maintained. We picked site 30 because it had ample trees on its west side to create nice shade in the afternoon," notes one RVer who stayed for 11 nights.

Overnight options: The Indian Meadow Ohio Turnpike RV Lot provides a practical stopping point for travelers. "There are about 20 spots all for 40 feet total RV leaks. Requires an approval from staff at the travel center. For what it is it is a nice safe break with a potable water station and a dump station right there."

Water quality: Be aware that water conditions vary at campgrounds in the region. At Woodbrige Campground, one RVer mentioned, "The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because the water had a strong sulfur smell coming out of the fresh water hook up. Next time I'd fill my tank prior to arrival with fresh water."

Site types: Arrowhead Lake RV Park & Campground offers a mix of seasonal and temporary sites. "The seasonal ones all have back in and the weekends are pull through which is kinda nice," explains one RVer about the layout, adding it was "only $45 a night" for their stay.
