Best RV Parks & Resorts near Bath, OH

Several RV parks near Bath, Ohio accommodate various camping styles and equipment sizes. Evergreen Park RV Resort and Roundup Lake RV Resort provide full hookup sites with water, electric, and sewer connections, while most offer 50-amp service for larger motorhomes. Berlin RV Park & Campground operates seasonally from April through December with big rig friendly sites. "Very few full hookups. Rest of the sites only have 15-20 amp service. The lots are not even close to level. You will need a lot of blocks to get close to level," noted one camper about Punderson State Park. Woodside Lake Park and Countryside Campground both feature pull-through sites suitable for larger rigs, though spacing between sites varies considerably across the region.

Travelers should anticipate varying site conditions throughout the area. Most RV parks maintain gravel pads rather than concrete, with several reviews mentioning leveling challenges on sloped sites. A recent review noted, "Site pads are rip rap 1" to 4" size rock with no fine rock coverings, or in some areas smoother rock and dirt but nowhere close to flat or level." Dump stations are available at most locations, though not always on individual sites. Cell service is generally reliable across the region, with AT&T coverage specifically mentioned at Punderson State Park. Many parks close seasonally between October and April, with Evergreen Park RV Resort being one of the few open year-round. Pet-friendly options dominate the area, though specific pet policies regarding breed restrictions vary by location.

    Thompson/Grand River Valley KOA Holiday

    Happy Camping

Relax, breath, and camp. Perfect spot.

This Campground is quiet, full of fun, for families or older people. Beautiful area.
Many pull through lots, with patios. 50. 30. Full hookup, (sewer and Electric) back in, pull through, tent sites, cabins, teepees. Swimming pool, private bathrooms and showers. Fishing lake, swimming lake, trails. Children play areas. Basketball, bad mitten/volleyball, Dog wash, dog parks (2), private fenced dog sites. (2)- pull through site. Golf cart rentals, and seasonal sites that are being updated, but all are decorated nicely, and kept up.
KOA is revamping some of this campground. Work in progress, but awesome stay.

    Amish Country Campsites

    Amish campsite

Very small campgrounds literally next to if not part of a corn field extremely cramped back if our camper was 2ft from the camper behind us and 15 ft from the campers left to right. When we left we had to knock on camper doors to ask folks to move their cars so we could pull out of out parking spot. The other campers were very nice lots of local folks they were fun to talk to. The camp site did have clean showers. Hot water. And. Clean restroom facilities. The dump station isn’t the best it is on a hill so dumping ones waste tanks completely could be a challenge The owners were polite but short The sites aren’t the best the electric is only 30 amp. And very dated they did have water hookups at each site. I didn’t take any pictures as there wasn’t anything to see at the campground other than campers packed in like sardines It is close to town and the shops. Everything closed at 5:00 including gas stations As they say any port in a storm. So as a last resort I guess it’s is okay. Just don’t plan to leave after 5:00 pm unless you have a full tank of gas. No ada camp sites. They are pet friendly

    Atwood Lake Park Campground

    Incredible!

The Atwood Lake Campground is a true gem in a beautiful area of eastern Ohio! We’ve visited the Atwood region many times in the past but have never camped - but after this visit we’ll be back for sure. The campground is relatively new, with the campground area being completely revamped beginning in 2017. There are two overnight camping areas with seasonal sites in a separate section; we stayed in “Camp H” which is the newest area. There is a huge bathhouse with two sets of men’s and women’s restrooms and shower facilities along with a very nice laundry area. Adjoining the bathhouse area is a beautiful pavilion and children’s playground - all of which overlooks Atwood Lake. The campsites are nicely spaced though if you’re in the inner loop as we were or even some of the outer ring sites you’ll be looking right into your neighbor’s site. All sites are FHU on level concrete pads and include a metal picnic table and fire ring. If needed there are two very well equipped dump stations if you prefer to use them instead of the sewer connection at your site. Many sites are on cul de sacs directly on the lake with docks and fishing areas adjacent to the campsites. Lots of hiking trails, paved bike paths, a swimming beach and restaurant are in a nearby area. We loved the campground and will return soon!

    Timber Ridge Campgrounds

    Great Experience

We stayed at Timber Ridge for a month and found this to be a very nice campground. Stores are very level, full hookups, fishing pond, amazing indoor swimming pool. Staff was extremely nice. Many if the campers are long term but have several overnight doors as well.

We stayed in a 29ft Travel Trailer, but sites could handle the largest of rigs.

    Outstanding site in great campground

Stayed on a premium patio site and loved it. The campground and staff were awesome. Level site, great hook ups, awesome WiFi and cable. Clean facilities, 3 lakes (one with a fishing pier), 2 dog parks, and super friendly staff. 30 min to Cleveland. Walmart, gas stations and restaurants within 5 miles. Just off Ohio Turnpike, but can't hear it. Definitely recommend this KOA

    West Branch State Park Campground

    Love the Lake!

This state park has a lot to offer with the highlight being a large 2,650-lake that appeals to fishermen, boaters, and swimmers. The park is over 5,000 acres and not only has camping but hiking, volleyball, fishing, playgrounds, picnicking, hunting, horseback riding, and more.

The campground is divided into three loops with nearly 200 sites. Campsites include those with full hook-up (50 amp), electric only (50 amp), and some with no electric. This campground is suitable for everything from large RVs to tents. Sites and roads are paved and each site has a picnic table and fire pit. In loops where there is no water directly at the site, water spigots are scattered throughout. The restroom/bathhouses in our loop were really nice, modern, clean, and had laundry facilities which is a real plus at a state park campground. Campsites can be reserved online up to six months in advance. Since we were here in April, the campground was practically empty and getting a site was no problem. But, if you want one of the 29 full hook-up sites in the summer, you better book early.

We really enjoyed the hiking trails and being able to leave our campsite and be right on the trails. There are approximately 12 miles of hiking trails and an additional 20 miles that are open to horses and snowmobiles. (Be aware that hunting is permitted in certain areas.)

The park is about 15 miles from Cuyahoga Valley National Park which is a fantastic place to explore with a lot going on for the whole family! If you are interested in football, the National Football Hall of Fame is just down the road in Canton. The town of Hudson has a pretty, historic downtown with a fun old soda fountain.

We would definitely stay at this campground again. It was a perfect place to stay while visiting family in the nearby town of Hudson. Loved having a paved site with full hook-ups especially since there was a lot of rain while we were there. The lake was perfect for kayaking and had we been able to stay longer we would have spent more time on the water.

    Great stop for one night

Great campground on the smaller side, so not too much traffic driving around. Our site was gravel and fairly unlevel. Did our best to level it out but still have water collecting to the left. We lucked out and got a pull through last minute.

Water pressure was low. ATT cell coverage was full. Lots of shade so couldn’t use our Starlink internet but the campground internet was great. Even had video camera meetings on it while working in the morning.

Worth noting we were having some rig problems (slide out stuck in) and after calling four local places not one of them returned our calls. Only stayed the one night because we need to move on to get this fixed.

    West Branch State Park Campground

    Quiet park with nice amenities

3 Immaculate bath houses all with laundry facilities, all sites have electric (no f-ing generators) and many have have water and sewer hook ups. There is no WiFi and barely one bar of cell service; your best internet access is at the nice public library 7 miles away in Ravenna Sand beach is an easy walk from all camp sites and boat trailers can be parked on your camp site Boat launch has a big trailer parking lot, too. There are hiking, equestrian and mountain biking trails in the park and launching off paddle boards is ok at the boat launch or the nearby beach Friendly staff and camp hosts!

    Big Arbs Campground

    Lots of Hills

The whole campground is on a hill. Most if not all seasonal sites. The area we stayed was mostly the party crowd and didnt seem to respect quiet time. There is a long list of rules most do not follow. And ownership takes no responsibility. We had to ask several times for a picnic table and fire ring.

Guide to Bath

Campgrounds near Bath, Ohio feature varying seasonal operations, with most facilities closing between October and April. The region experiences northeast Ohio's four distinct seasons, with summer temperatures typically ranging from 75-85°F and winter lows dropping below freezing. Many campsites throughout the area are positioned on gravel pads, and visitors should note the variable terrain across different campgrounds.

What to do

Amish Country exploration: Berlin RV Park & Campground provides a convenient base for experiencing Ohio's Amish country. "We spent the weekend here while visiting Amish country in Ohio. For the most part it is just a place to park your camper in a big open area while visiting the area," notes Kenny C. The campground is "just a couple miles from Berlin" with numerous shopping opportunities nearby.

Fishing access: Water activities are available at many campgrounds in the region. At Countryside Campground, "a nice short walk takes you to Mogadore reservoir, no luck for us fishing from shore," reports Joe F. The campground offers both fishing and kayaking opportunities with reservoir access.

Indoor recreation: During cooler months, Evergreen Park RV Resort offers indoor activities when outdoor options are limited. "The indoor pool is great for enjoying a swim even in January and the bathrooms and showers are spotless and very private," writes Bob R. This makes it suitable for camping even during cooler seasons.

What campers like

Clean facilities: Campground cleanliness ranks high in camper reviews across the area. At Woodside Lake Park, campers appreciate that "The swimming pond has inflatables and boat rentals. There's good fishing, and typically lots of activities. The place is clean and friendly with a pretty good selection at the camp store," according to James S.

Well-maintained showers: Many campgrounds offer improved shower facilities compared to basic state parks. "The restroom/shower facilities are excellent. There are three showers in each of the mens and womens sides. Each shower has a locking door and a sink. Everything was very clean," notes Kenny C. about Berlin RV Park & Campground.

Recreational amenities: Beyond basic camping, many facilities offer additional recreation options. "We camped here the second weekend in December and had the park mostly to ourselves. There were only 3 other campers there. It was a great place to stay. Friendly staff and everything was so clean. The game room was nice as well as the indoor pool," reports Andrea F. about winter accommodations at Evergreen Park RV Resort.

What you should know

Water quality varies: Some rv parks near Bath, Ohio have issues with water quality. At Willow Lake Park Inc, "The water, while I'm sure was fine, had an odor to it so I didn't partake," mentions Wilson W. Water quality can affect your camping experience, especially for longer stays.

Seasonal operations: Most campgrounds in the region operate on limited schedules. Berlin RV Park & Campground is open "Apr 1 - Dec 1" while Countryside Campground operates "May 1 to October 30." Few facilities remain open during winter months.

Variable site conditions: Site dimensions and conditions differ widely across campgrounds. "Sites are close but shady and large enough for trailer and our truck," notes Mike A. about Roundup Lake RV Resort. At Countryside Campground, tent sites are "very large and spacious" but RV sites may be more compact.

Tips for camping with families

Check playground conditions: Many campgrounds offer playground equipment for children. "The playground was good for the kids. The grounds are well maintained," notes Derek N. about his experience at Willow Lake Park Inc, making it suitable for families with young children.

Look for themed weekends: Roundup Lake RV Resort offers special programming for families. "The themed weekends throughout the season are fun and festive and there are a lot of activities to do and participate!" shares Evangelyne D. These organized activities can enhance a family camping trip.

Consider cabin options: For families new to camping, cabin rentals provide comfort with outdoor access. "My boyfriend and I rented The Park Model Cabin which was sort of a half trailer with a full bathroom and full kitchen," explains Evangelyne D. about Roundup Lake RV Resort, though she notes the bed quality was poor.

Tips from RVers

Be prepared for leveling challenges: RVers should come equipped for uneven sites. "Lots are pretty large and well maintained," at Willow Lake Park Inc, but other campgrounds may require significant leveling equipment. Many sites feature gravel bases rather than concrete pads.

Check hookup locations: At some rv parks near Bath, Ohio, hookup placement can present challenges. "The one and only issue is that water and electricity is located in the rear area of RV, while sewer connections are toward the front. I personally used 50' of water line and 30' of sewer line," advises Earl B. about Scenic Hills RV Park.

Verify campground rules: Policies vary between facilities regarding outside equipment. At Berlin RV Park & Campground, "my only complaint (and it's very minor) is that you are not allowed to put any outside rugs down. Their afraid you might kill the grass," explains Kenny C. Understanding these restrictions can prevent surprises during your stay.
