    Nice beachside campground

One big campground with a lot of amenities. Nice people. Good size sites with concret pads and patio that accommodate larger rigs but the roads between the sites can be tight. Kid and pet friendly. Wish it had a dog park. Very large camp store, large laundry facility and water park. Very fairly price considering the he amenities. We’ll be back.

North Myrtle Beach RV Resort and Dry Dock Marina

Great Amenities - Quiet off season

We camped here in our 34 travel trailer. We both work from home on hot spots and our Verizon connection was great.

The place is VERY quiet in the off season. We didn’t have any neighbors in the surrounding spots.

The pool area looks super nice, but it was a little to chilly for us to spend any time in the pool. The hot tub however was a great way to end our work days! There are plenty of showers and two laundry rooms. Both are very nice and clean. There’s a small arcade which was fun too.

Check in was super easy. We were very late and they accommodated us. The staff is polite and friendly.

The site is great. Concrete pad makes for super quick and easy leveling set up. There’s a fire pit and picnic table. The spots next to us are “premium” so they have a little pavilion over their table.

The dog park is small and definitely geared towards smaller dogs. It has a cute agility type course set up. Our GSD felt a little to big for the dog park, but we made it work.

    Holden Beach RV Campground

    Everything we need

This place has everything we need. Decent size sites, water, 30Amp, sewer, great WiFi (repeaters positioned at every other site, especially in the new section). There is also a playground, dog park, camp store, nearby grocery and other stores, etc. spent 5 nights, Sun - Thu night and really enjoyed it. Some monthly campers around who were friendly and helpful. We were a 5 minute drive to the beach and not far from other sites that we were looking to visit. The staff was also very nice and helpful. We were led to our site and the guide made sure we were OK and would have stayed had we needed help. Will do this again when visiting that area.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Daddy Joe's

Here We Go to Daddy Joe’s

We were delighted to find beautiful scenery, friendly staff and a comfortable campsite that included a picnic table and fire pit. Daddy Joe’s is an awesome place to bring the kiddos. A splash park, mini golf, swimming pools and the park has activities throughout the year. It’s dog friendly with two dog parks and plenty of places to walk and run!

Great experience and highly recommend. Check in was easy, the sites are very clean and for us, the dog park with astro turf was the greatest along with the wifi being excellent.

    Holden Beach RV Campground

    Would stay again

We spent 2 months at HBRV campground in spring of 2026. The staff is amazing. Our campsite was a little tight, as many of them are. But they also have some spacious, private spaces. There are only 2 washing machines for the whole campground, so laundry can get tricky on busy days. Several showers (5) including a handicapped shower. Nice clean, hot, high pressure showers. Not much climate control in the bath houses, so it can be hot or cold, depending on outside temps. Great walking trail around the park, as well as a small dog park. Grounds are well maintained & is located about 2 miles from the beach with a free shuttle back & forth. They do charge $3 per package for any deliveries. Very quiet, friendly park & we would recommend staying there.

Guide to Supply

Near Supply, North Carolina, several campgrounds offer year-round access to both beach and wooded settings with nearby coastal activities. Most camping areas sit between 20-30 feet above sea level in an area characterized by pine forests and maritime vegetation. Summer temperatures regularly reach into the 90s with high humidity from June through September.

What to Do

Beach access options: Carolina Beach State Park Campground provides multiple hiking trails through coastal forest areas while being just minutes from beach access. "There are lots of hiking trails through a really beautiful area. I hear the fishing is also really good within the park, but I've never done it myself. The only downside is you can't swim within the park, because the currents can get dangerous. The beach is only like 5 minutes away though, so not really a big deal," notes Sam M.

Historical exploration: Fort Fisher Air Force Recreation Area offers proximity to educational attractions. "Less than a mile from the Aquarium and fort fisher civil war museum. Great restaurants in Kure Beach also," writes E G. Military families appreciate these options during their stays.

Outdoor activities beyond beaches: Brunswick Beaches RV Resort provides access to varied terrain. "I am fascinated by Bird Island that is a nature preserve and reachable from Sunset beach, this is a day trip we are looking forward to taking the dogs on," shares Maya C. The property features a pond with surrounding walking areas perfect for morning exercise.

What Campers Like

Private camping areas: Holden Beach RV Campground offers landscaped sites that create personal spaces. "The sites were nicely landscaped and we felt cozy," reports Katie C. The campground continues to expand with new sections featuring improved amenities.

Clean facilities: Brunswick Beaches RV Resort maintains well-kept grounds and amenities. "The facilities are great with a store, laundry, and clean restrooms and showers. A very nice pool is available, but with Sunset beach, and Ocean Isle beach just minutes away we have gone there daily," explains a visitor.

Shade coverage: Carolina Beach State Park Campground provides natural protection from heat. "I have camped at Carolina Beach State Park 1-2 times a year for the past five years. The campsites at this park are some of the cleanest sites I have camped at," states Caroline G. The bath house remains heated during winter months with electrical outlets available for charging devices.

What You Should Know

Transportation considerations: Waterway Campground offers access via both vehicle and boat. "This is a great one to stay at if you are with a boat, or if you like to fish. Parked right next to the water, the views are nice, and i can go stick my feet in the channel from the little bank areas," explains Marie G.

Site selection tips: Fort Fisher Air Force Recreation Area requires specific planning. "The sites are back-in only and arranged on either side of a road that ends in a cul-de-sac that is too small to turn around in. The sites themselves are extremely long, but for some reason the hook-ups are all near the front of the site," observes Erin S.

Weather impacts: Beachside temperatures can fluctuate significantly between seasons. "I've been here at different times of the year. I really enjoy camping here in December and January. Less people and the park is so nice," shares Ms P. about Carolina Beach State Park Campground.

Tips for Camping with Families

Kid-friendly amenities: Several campgrounds provide specific family features. "There is a playground for kids and I could see our kids riding their bikes around with no issues at all," notes Caleb S. about Holden Beach RV Campground, adding "It is very short ride to the beach and there is a grocery store, ice cream shop, and a few restaurants nearby."

Entertainment options: S & W RV Park offers a convenient location for family outings. "Reasonably priced during peak season. We stayed 2 weeks, had a large campsite, and really enjoyed our stay. Quiet site, not a lot on amenities, but nice wooded areas, friendly staff, and 20 minutes to Holden beach, 20 minutes to Southport. Really great location," shares Lauren D.

Educational opportunities: Fort Fisher area provides learning experiences. "Also has a nice pool and rec center, as well as ongoing outdoor classes (kayaking, ghost turtle hunting, etc)," mentions Bonnie F. These programs typically run from late spring through early fall.

The dog park is nice for some off leash time," reports a visitor at Brunswick Beaches RV Resort.
