We pulled in on a Sunday afternoon with no reservations. We wanted 2 nights and had no issue getting a site. Campground was fairly quiet although probably 3/4 or more full. I lost my engagement ring in a walking trail and a week later received a call a ranger found it on the heavily trafficked…

We’ve stayed here once before and returned because of the beautiful location. The bathhouses are clean, private and conveniently located. We biked to local restaurants and the Adirondack Wildlife Refuge.
We enjoyed everything about Grand Isle and only wish it hadn't rained. Every. Day!
Oh well, our grassy site (#80) was a fine refuge for three nights in a tent. It was level, free of roots and stones and far enough/close enough to the bathroom.
Bring quarters for the showers (and pay it…
Sites have a bit of privacy, only a few permanent residents, pool was clean and good, and most importantly it was right where we wanted to stop between two cooler places. If you’re looking for that, or have business/pleasure in town, it’s great. I’d hesitate to call it a “destination” in and of…

This is a large campground, but the sites are really large and really spread out. We loved it.
Large sites, level and tons of trees. Wifi was strong.
There are some amazing hiking trails right around the corner. And Lake Placid is a great place to visit- just down the road. We'll be back!
Wilmington Notch Campground is owned and operated by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation. There are approximately 50 sites available, all on level campground and within access of Both bathrooms and shower facilities. Fire pits and picnic tables available. About a mile down the road…
Monday thru Friday visit, site was close to restrooms, River access across street. A little buggy due to water. Flat site. Restrooms although well attended to, could use a good power wash. Would return again. Empty beaches…

We arrived late but had a reserved lot. Perfect campfire set up for cooking, wood was easily available. It was raining and cold yet showers were fine.

A beautiful setting on Schroon Lake. The sites are small. They are great for tents and smaller Rv’s. Truck campers would also fit in nicely. They do have showers and flush toilet shut no hookups. The park has a sandy beach and canoe and kayak rentals.
This was our first KOA experience and was a good one! Overall, the park was clean, staff awesome, and enough for kids to do. The pool is smaller and if it were swimming weather, I bet it would have been quite crowded. There is one playground and an arcade. The arcade or game room was not in the…

Overall it’s a nice campground. Well managed and very well upkept!
Normal KOA with the same activities but the location is beautiful. Whiteface Mountain isn’t too far and you can drive to the summit and hike to the top. The town of Lake Placid is also very lively and they have lots of nice shops and restaurants. Amazing location with lots of wildlife and the cabin…

We just spent a full week at the North Pole Resorts the last week of May and through the Memorial Day Weekend. We are full-time travelers with a 40' Class A motorhome, flat tow a Jeep, have 2 kids (ages 8 & 13), and 2 English Bulldogs. We loved pulling in the week before the holiday weekend…

Pretty remote. Lots of traffic. Found a site that people with a Prius wouldn’t be able to get to.
Super buggy in June. No cell service. But, plenty of privacy and solitude.
